I was in town (Golden) doing some grocery shopping, while on vacation, for the family. Before heading back to the cabin, I spied a very familiar sight. I texted my wife and asked (permission) if our girls might want something from their favorite eatery. The answer was, of course, yes. And since I had just seen their latest commercial advertising a Chicken Big Mac, I couldn't resist picking one up for her. The shop is just like any other McDonalds you have ever entered = reasonably clean, very fast service, McCafe options. I was also pleasantly surprised that the staff were INCREDIBLY friendly. The prices are on par with home (Honolulu), so I wasn't broke upon leaving. The food was as good as it was familiar. The Mrs said the Chicken Big Mac was so good that she was surprised that they hadn't added it to the menu earlier. All in all, this was above average for a McDonald's joint, but it's still fast food. Oh and you can get poutine here - if you're looking for regional/unique foods. Le magasin est comme n'importe quel autre McDonalds dans lequel vous êtes entré = raisonnablement propre, service très rapide, options McCafe. J'ai également été agréablement surpris de constater que le personnel était incroyablement sympathique. Les prix sont à égalité avec la maison (Honolulu), donc je n'étais pas fauché en partant. La nourriture était aussi bonne que familière. La Mme a dit que le Chicken Big Mac était si bon qu'elle a été surprise qu'ils ne l'aient pas ajouté au menu plus tôt. Dans l'ensemble, c'était au-dessus de la moyenne pour un joint McDonald's, mais c'est toujours de la restauration rapide. Even at our cabin in Golden we have a ton of bug pressure so I kind of cut this place some slack, the restaurant itself was otherwise clean but I understand this might bother other people too much.
