Keith was great at texting me the progress of repairing the porch and though it took a little longer than originally expected (due to him or his staff getting sick/hurt/injured) - it turned out great. (I was not in a rush to get it done - I just wanted it done before winter.) I recently had a fence built between two properties, with an 8 foot gate on the front section. My neighbor and I had obtained 3 estimates - strangely there was over a thousand dollar difference between the lowest and most expensive. Keith's was in the middle and was very detailed making it easy to split the costs, as we had some differences in what we wanted. Keith was the only one to comment on the issue with some trees along the fence line. He was able to adapt the fence to accommodate the trees that we wanted to keep. Keith and his workers were prompt, showing up when they said they would. ( The other two companies were very unreliable in this. The workmen were efficient and very nice. They left the yard completely cleaned up at the end of the day. Keith even fixed a small area in another section of fence in the back of the yard for no extra cost. The fence looks great. I just finished a fence with Golden Bear last week. Keith and his wife (I forgot her name, she is the one that came to take the initial measurements for the fence) are great guys !!! He sent his quote in details via email. The pricing is upfront and there are no surprises or catches. He explained the job in details and did it right on time as he promised. He even came back to take some extra measurements to redo the quote, because my neighbor wanted to make some changes on his side. His price was the best out of 4 quotes I got. He was also the one that inspired me the best confidence. He is State Board Licensed, which is good in case anything goes wrong. Nevertheless, the fence looks really nice. It was not a particularly difficult job. Just a plain straight long (95 foot) fence. It seems to have been nicely done as well. Also, he was very patient, because my neighbor took several weeks to make the initial payment, which delayed the starting of the job, but this was not Keith's fault at all. Just an update that the fence built almost 4 years ago is still looking good and the gate still works as "new". To me the weak point of the fence is the gate. So a new fence over 100 Ft. long was requested to replace a worn picket on our corner lot. Keith was punctual. gave an estimate and stopped by one final day before building. Keith after looking at the fence the second time thought a 6" kicker (I think that is what it's called) would be better so he did it at no extra charge versus a 4" board. The neighbor of my rental and I are replacing a 'good neighbor' fence where the back of our two lots meet. My neighbor made an appointment with this company for an estimate. It was about a week before they could work us in. On the day of the appointment, the agreed upon time came and went. Forty-five minutes AFTER the scheduled appointment time, this company called my neighbor and told him 'I am just calling to make sure you are there because I don't want to waste my time coming out there if there is no one there'. Excuse me? If you were concerned about that shouldn't you have called thirty minutes BEFORE the appointment time to confirm your appointment? My neighbor did in fact have other obligations that afternoon and couldn't wait for a delayed appointment. I was very surprised at this lack of reliability and the lack of respect for the customer's time considering the sterling reviews on Yelp. If they can't show up on time for an appointment or call to say they will be late then how will they be about fixing the fence in a timely manner? We will be using another company. read more
