I just purchased a $12.99 seafood special at Golden Chick and it was the most pitiful thing I've ever seen three little bitty pieces of catfish that were cooked way too much like eating cardboard three pieces of shrimp that was nothing but a bunch of Grease wrapped up in some breading the bun in the green beans were good the rest of the meal was terrible and the staff did not seem to care whether I liked it or not I will not go back there and I would highly advise nobody else to either. I guess I just don't like Golden Chick. I'd been to others. It's not a good value, here for sure. I got four tenders but they are very small tenders. And they always feel "wet" as if they weren't done cooking. This is the same at other Golden Chicks. The place felt dirty too with flies buzzing all around. There was an issue with the ice that made it taste horrible. Staff were making jokes too loud in a way customers should be able to hear. For a comparable price you can get a much better meal at Raising Canes. read more

I always have a good experience at Golden Chick, usually due to the employees. Today I walked in and ordered two two-piece roasted chicken dinners. That consists of a breast and a wing. They were out of wings, so they upgraded it to two breasts for no additional charge. That's taking care of the customer. read more

The food here is really good (a strong 4 stars) but because they cannot get an order right to save their life - they get 2 stars. I dont care if you order in the drive-thru, on their website or a food delivery service (Door Dash or Waitr) your order will be wrong. Its maddening! My fiancee waited while they refixed our order and then had the audacity to ask us to produce a receipt. Would we really wait, making our whole order cold, while we wait for the crap you left out or just got wrong? NO! And if you want it that badly - your system should have it. By far the best Golden Chick I have ever had the pleasure of eating at. The inside is nice and clean, and well taken care of. Got the chicken salad sandwich order with okra and the sandwich was beyond amazing! I have tried this same sandwich at many other Golden Chicks, but this one just takes the cake. I swear they used rotisserie chicken or something ! The okra was crispy and golden to boot. What made my experience so different was how nice I was treated by the kitchen staff and the store owner, Daimon Derew (I hope I'm spelling that right.) Oh no no no. Their box says "we've spent 50 years perfecting our chicken" well in my honest opinion they need to spend another 50 years on it, because everything i tried was very bland. The tenders, the mashed potatoes, the mac and cheese. The fried chicken was average. But it may have just tasted good because i tried it after trying the bland tenders. Food is good here, but's that's the only thing good about it. If you want good customer service go somewhere else. Servers are rude. They never smile, seem like they hate being at work, and don't greet you when you arrive nor thank you when you leave. I work in sales, and this is not the way to keep or make new customers. Maybe there needs to be more training done here to instill a better attitude/work environment for these employees. read more

I am a regular at this location. Usually the people are really nice which is a good thing. They young lady that took my order tonight never cracked a smile, never said thank or anything. It was just a few minutes before closing time. I ordered 4 rolls and she seemed to act as though that was a problem. On a good note the 2 young ladies that put my order together were delightful.
