TERRIBLE i tried to order a 10 piece leg and thighs. They only had 7 pieces and said it's a 45 min wait. They gave me 3 breasts that were burnt. It was soooooo salty we couldn't even eat it. The girls working there were rude and could care less about good customer service!! More training is definitely needed in the Sachse, Tx location. The GM, Mo, is the absolute best around! The wickee wings are my jam and I always ask for them extra wicked . One of my kids likes the lemon pepper rub so we get it onthe side with the tenders, they are always very flexible and accommodating. I can't say enough good things! read more

Okay 1st time when I went there it was great. This place has gone down since then I went here before and they gave me bad ketchup that turned into a weird color other than red. It tasted funky too. Today they gave me bad mac & cheese and it was sour! I had to toss it away. I don't think I will be coming back again I will move back to the one near fire wheel. read more

Apparently they are under new management but I feel like it's worse than before! I went one night and my chicken was terrible! So I thought maybe because it was late so I let it go. But this time I came back during the day and as usual I get the family pack it's definitely my go to. I get home and open the box and the chicken is so bad! I am blown away at the (complete lack of) customer service at this location since the new manager took over (I knew the old manager/GM from years of dealing with them). I called to inquire about an item. Due to supply chain issues (understandably) they didn't have it. I inquired about another item and was told it was no problem (dark meat fried chicken). 10 minutes later, I order at the drive thru and am told it would be 10-14 minutes....no problem. 25+ minutes in the "you wait in spot 1" waiting area, I called and asked where my order was. This new manager says "it will be another 30 seconds, they are boxing it". I said "I was told 10-14 minutes, it has been a lot more than that. Are you going to offer something extra?" This guy says "No, you were told there would be a wait." Unreal. I miss the old manager (John) and the original Chicken Express. I will drive farther next time not to deal with this level of incompetence. Good customer service is completely lacking here and can always make up for mediocre food. This place has the best chicken tenders you will get anywhere. Nobody else in the area has anything close to this especially not KFC or Chilis or boomer jacks. They also have Good fried okra and good customer service. You tell thim something is bad, they'll redo it for you. Get the spicy golden tenders with zing sauce and a large fried okra. Couple of days ago for dinner. Went through drive through. Order was taken promptly and correct. After paying was told to pull forward to wait for food but was given the Tea to take with. After pulling forward realized Tea was mostly ice. When the girl came out with my order I asked for a refill as it had little to begin with. She took my cup inside and came back out with it empty and said she was told no. How's that for service. Additionally the food was not very warm and tasted bland. Won't be back. Only reason for (1) star is to post a review. Or I would give them a negative-10! This place is a dump and all the employees and managers are highly unskilled and couldn't care less about service or quality. If you ask for a manger, each person you talk to sounds stupid and they giggle like 4 year olds and say the manager is unavailable and makes mockery of your request. I stood there for a good while waiting on someone to take my order (to go) until I finally said something while they were all standing around jabbering with each other.. That's a very brief discretion of the place. The food is GROSS. Poorly cooked, poorly served, recooked over and over, left on the shelf for who knows how long. Rubbery, stale and greasy gross chicken, rubbery and disgusting okra, rolls are very stale and old tasting, tea taste like pee. This place should be shut down and all employees/management fired! I went there tonight even though the Golden Chick less than 5 miles away straight down south on Hwy 78 is cheaper on every single meal on their menu -- I just happen to be driving by the one in Sachse & thought I would pick up the 4 piece tender meal for my wife which I ALWAYS purchase. I ordered it through the drive-thru the way I always do with two sides instead of the drink and the person told me they no longer offer that. I said well just give it to me with no drink and deduct the drink and he said they do not offer that either, what they are doing now is offer an extra roll - WOW, a roll that costs them less than $.01 - what a deal !!!!! I just left and drove down the road less than 5 miles to the other Golden Chick, bought the 4 piece tender meal cheaper, deducted the drink and got an extra side LIKE I ALWAYS DO !!!!!!! I know this location just opened but there are 2 others very close that will put them out of business if things don't improve. The person taking my order in the drive-thru was struggling and then I got sweet tea instead of unsweet, which is the worst thing ever! Most importantly I drove home 12 min away to find out that they didn't give me any of my family sides. Not one apology was given upon my return much less any sort of compensation!
