So a week ago or so I ordered a Toms Special of a 10 piece bucket of chicken I don't think I've ever had golden chicken before so I was curious about it. It was definitely tasty. It was crisper then I would've liked which means I think they might've kept it in a little bit longer than I like, but it was still tasty and it was not hard once I took the breading off, but it was great tasting chicken and it came with enough stuff so I think I will be actually returning eventually down the road as of right now I think you're better than KFC and better than Popeyes since I worked there hehe now I just have to try your burgers read more

We went today for the first time. Service was honestly a 5. From phone order through pick up. Very attentive and kind. The food was meh. Chicken wasn't overcooked, but the seasonings are so blah it doesn't make any impact with flavor. We didn't care for the slaw. Again, needed vinegar, sugar, seasoning. It tasted just like plain cabbage. The fries and mushrooms were fine. Not high quality but acceptable. Overall we felt it was lacking flavor. It seems many either love it or hate it. We just thought it was meh. We won't run back soon. But it wasn't terrible. There are just better places for the price. read more

As a first time customer, I am not impressed. I was excited to try their chicken sandwich but that was a disappointment! The sandwich was tiny and boring. I asked if came with lettuce and tomato and they said NO.. I still ordered it, hoping the sandwich would be juicy and thick but it wasn't. I would not order a sandwich from here. The food is not up to par! The onion rings and friends were burnt and tasted liked they were cold in old grease. The chicken was hard on and crunchy on the outside. You get no bread or rolls with your chicken and the portion size on the friends and onion I F's did no I match the price you pay. This was by far the worst chicken I have had. I've had Walmart chicken. The price for ten pieces was outrageous. When we opened the "bucket" my first comment was "wow, this was burnt, looked dry". The skin had us choking and coughing, the chicken was so dry. I fed it to the dog and my dog eats cat poop! my husband spent an hour in the bathroom, and my kids stared at it and were very upset we tried to make them eat it. $25 for 10 pieces and a bag of fries. Ordered 2 pizza's, garlic bread, and mozzarella sticks. There was almost no meat on the pizza and it was cold. You get 7 little mozzarella sticks for over $7.00 and you have pay extra for the marinara sauce which isn't enough for one of the mozzarella sticks. Never again! read more

The chicken was good, but the skin was very dark like it had been left in the fryer a couple mins too long. The coleslaw was very good. Definitely the best I've ever had. Tator tots were warm but decent. And the mozzarella sticks could've been left in the fryer just a tad longer. The cheese was still firm. This place has the best broasted chicken that I have ever tasted! And their pizza is just as wonderful! My husband and I have been eating this for the past 25 years and it is definitely delicious! We used to live in Indiana and would drive all the way up from South Bend, Indiana just for this chicken! Now we moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin and we drive down from Green Bay, just for this chicken! Walking into the Golden Chicken for the first time was a really nice experience. Two young men and a young lady greeted us with politeness. They were extremely busy yet still greeted us and acknowledged. I like that great customer service. We looked over in the wall to see a variety types of foods not only chicken. While looking over the menu we decided to get the Toms wow special. Read all the hype on yelp reviews, I was surprised to see how delicious this place was. If your looking for a fried chicken fix try the golden chicken out. Great sides were offered in this special for 10 pieces of chicken, slaw, fries and we got the fried mushrooms yummy! Food is always fresh easy pick up process fast in and out. You can pay with a card upon delivery. The negative thing is the delivery always takes forever we are about a mile away(8-10 minute drive) . No matter the day it's always an hour delivery time. But that hour turns into hour and a half wait time. Chicken is really good when it isn't overcooked. Prices are a bit high. They charge for marinara sauce when you order mozzarella stcks. Pizza toppings are skimpy. Biggest issue I have is with the service. Food isn't too good when delivered so we order via telephone and pick it up. We are always told the completion time is fifteen minutes. It's always more like 40 minutes so we spend 25 minutes waiting. I'd rather be told a realistic time frame. In the time waiting, the inefficiencies shine through. Today while waiting I watched an employee putting orders together. She had a vinyl glove on her right hand which she used for putting rolls in the orders. In the 25 minutes I was there, she wrung her left (ungloved) hand with her gloved hand. With the gloved hand, she handled a stapler, the cooler door, the countertop, the tickets, etc. I wanted to tell her to just take the glove off because it was not serving it's purpose. read more

When I noticed there was no smell (this is a good thing) I felt comfortable placing my order. The food tasted great and very fast. Ordered a 10 piece bucket of fish with tater tots and an order of mini chicken tacos last night. When pulling the stuff out of the bag, they stapled the wrong sides of the bag on both the tacos and tater tots so it spilled out all over the floor. Was expecting a decent piece of fish but pieces were basically a bigger version of fish sticks. For $28.00, I cannot believe the garage you get. It has been over 6 months since this establishment took $18.03 from a disabled unemployed senior. They gave him the wrong food and then told him to bring it back for a refund but never gave him his money back nor did they give him the correct order which is what he asked for to begin with. We have waited now for over 6 months for the owner to call us to get this rectified and still no call. I say "Buyer Be Where" when it comes to this place. We had ordered from there for years but never again from this location. Don't let them ruin your meal like they did ours. We will certainly write a new up date should the owner contact us and make good by either returning the money and / or replacing the correct order that was originally placed. read more

Very disappointed! I come here often and stopped in a Friday night when I got my food it was cold! Called in spoke with the young gentlemen who is by far is the nicest worker there! I go order and as I'm talking to the girl the elderly lady ask me "what happened?" They were fine until...one of their employees (an elder woman) denied us service (aka cost you a sale) because we proved her wrong and poked a hole in her flawed logic. Situation: I sent my son to pick up an order on his way home but he didn't have any money, so I called ahead and asked if I could pay over the phone and she said "we need to see the card in person" and then I replied, "ok, can we just change the order to delivery? We ordered takeout dinner to eat while watching the Super Bowl last night. I paid for our meal online. It was supposed to come within an hour. The delivery person arrived within a few minutes. I had the tip money ready. I asked the woman delivery person for $3 change from a $10 bill. She had me sign I a slip for payment. She never gave me the $3 back. There was leftover shrimp, my husband had for lunch today. Since it was cold the breading came off the shrimp. Well , after examining it with the breading off he noticed it wasn't a full shrimp. My experience here was awful! We ordered delivery and the order was completely not what we expected. First off, the "jumbo" shrimp meal was 15 pieces, fries, and coleslaw for 18.99 on special. You would assume at this price you would get some decent pieces. They looked like the kind that you buy at walmart for 8 bucks in the freezer section, served with kraft cocktail sauce. The buffalo sauce they served with the chicken was franks red hot, but at least they put that in a Dixie cup. The fries were overcooked and the double cheeseburger comes plain no lettuce, onion, tomato, pickle, ketchup, or mustard.
