L17. General Tso's Chicken Lunch Special

Okay, so I wound up ordering lunch from here through Uber eats and honestly the food was good, a little oily, but I think that's to be expected when you order Chinese food. I ordered a large chicken fried rice, large shrimp lo mein, lunch sized General tsos chicken with fried rice and fried potstickers. Despite being almost 30+ mins from my home the food showed up hot and in tact. I didn't care much for the general tsos chicken, idk something about that chicken just didn't taste right so I wound up tossing it and just eating the rice. Everything else was fine, the reason for the low rating is that their food is cooked in peanut/tree nut oil. My son has a peanut/tree nut allergy, but he can usually handle it in small doses. I've never had to ask for his food to be prepared separately or make note of his allergy. After a few bites of the fried rice and lo mein his lips started to swell up and he said his tongue was tingling. We've had Chinese food from plenty of places, usually order the same things, and have not had this issue before. So while the food is good, if you have any type of allergy be sure to send a note to the restaurant or call to let them know. If it's a severe allergy you'd be better off ordering elsewhere.

Delicious Chinese food, family operated. Often have their two little children with them as they earn their living serving good food!

People who work here are so rude and have no business etiquette. The food is also below average.

If you're dying to know what it tastes like when white people cook chinese food. Give this place a shot. Totally unimpressed.

The portion was really big and this is one of the best chicken soups that I have ever tasted. I also ordered the Combo Pad Thai as well as Hunan Chicken. The Pad Thai was delicious! We were greeted and told to sit wherever we like. We were the only patrons at this time. With it being our first time, we took awhile to go thru the menu. So many choices to choose from and so many appealing entrees. We ended up getting the diving chicken and braised lamb stretch noodle accompanied by some chicken wings to try. My diving chicken blew my socks off. It was beautifully presented, aromatic, and warm. It was accompanied by white rice. With Plenty of tasty marinated chicken, bok choy, green onions and bean sprouts in a semi spicy broth. Super fulfilling and a nice portion. I shared my bowl with a hungry 6 year old and still had leftovers! Fiance got the braised lamb and stretch noodles, he admitted he had no clue what he was getting or what to expect. Nevertheless he received a nice hearty bowl of lamb and hand stretch noodle in a nice and hot lamb broth. Also accompanied by white rice. He finished majority of his bowl only leaving some broth behind. We both tried each others and both agreed on the diving chicken having a better taste but I think it's because it's spicier. The chicken wings were on the dry side but they were still tasty and completely devoured. Service was standard and immediate. I didn't see a kids menu. Buy we Really enjoyed the food. Can't wait to try more!!

We ordered the dry pot lamb spine, but the portion was very small, and the lamb was extremely fatty to the point that it was barely edible, especially for $22.99. The shredded Potato was $12.99 and also a very small portion. The boiled fish was okay, but honestly the only dish we were truly satisfied with was the fried noodles we ordered for the kids. Overall, it was not what I hoped for, and I would not come back again.

We were greeted and seated quickly and service was very friendly. As we were hungry, we took a mi Ute to decide what to order. We had planned on storm fish, but made a last minute decision to Sichuan sliced beef (we loveeee a numbing pepper!) with starts of egg roll and spicy wontons. Seriously those wontons are one of the best things in the whole city. They're SO good I could eat a few orders of those alone and be happy. Egg rolls are nice, but just a simple egg roll. Nicely crispy and tasty with the spicy mustard. The Sichuan sliced beef was the perfect thing for a chilly rainy dinner. We love spicy so I'm a bad judge of heat level, but this is spicy but a numbing spicy. Lovely spooned over steamed rice. The cabbage and bean sprouts were my favorite bits in this dish because they added a crunch. Might ask for extra next time!

After a long day of work, I decided to take her and a friend to Hunan Lion for dinner. This upscale Chinese restaurant has been in business for decades but has recently reopened after a kitchen fire. With more than 200 reviews, they have a 4.8-5 STAR rating. I've always enjoyed their food, portion size, the ambiance of their interior and super service. What sets Hunan Lion apart is the chefs perfection of sweat and spicy sauces whose flavors profile are unfounded. The flavors are heavenly and unequalled by other restaurants in the area. I ordered the Mongolian Beef ($19.95, my daughter the Pad Thai ($19.95) and her friend the Sesame Beef ($18.95). Everyone enjoyed their dishes. The portion size allows for a second meal the following day.
