I have past thru Lieu's Asian Cuisine for many years, but I was craving Chinese food. I had the Sweet and Sour Chicken and Veggie Egg Roll; it was delicious and yummy. Canned dine in right now due to the Coronavirus pandemic. You can order online to pick up or delivery. I chose to do the pickup option when I ordered online. I will go back to Lieu's Asian Cuisine for my next Asian meal.

This was my first visit, the young taking the order was very friendly and welcomed me to the restaurant, extremely friendly staff. The restaurant was clean and simply decorated. I ordered the fire cracker shrimp and spring rolls, both had a good flavor for me. The spring rolls have slot of mushrooms which tasted different then ones I had before at another place but I personally like mushrooms. The fire cracker shrimp was fresh and not tôo oily. I would have liked it to be just a little bit spicer, but overall a good meal

It looks like Clintonville is home to one of the newest restaurants in town. Leiu's Asian Bistro has opened in the old Mili's location and I got to check it out for lunch the other day. The long and the short of it... This Asian fusion restaurant is nothing to look at from the street and it's really easy to miss. Inside though, it's a decent looking little restaurant. It's a neat and clean looking place, nothing fancy but it has some basic decor. The waiter service was polite, pleasant and down to business. Their lunch menu is small but covers all the basics. So to put them to the test, I got their Hot and Sour Soup which was good but not the best I've ever had. It tasted like Hot and Sour and Wonton Soup mixed together. It was a lighter, less pungent style so this might appeal to someone looking for a more mildly flavored version of this soup. The Vietnamese Salad Rolls (Vietnamese Spring Rolls) were really fresh. They are made to order and are probably the largest ones I've seen anywhere and they were quite good. You get two of them for $3.95 so the price is right. The Pad Thai at $7.75 wouldn't be at the top of my list but it was still very good here. Their's has the right balance of flavors and the portion was very nice for the price. I just wish they had made it spicy as I requested but it was still very good anyways. My only real gripe was the service pace. Everything came out at the same time which I found a little irritating. The next time I'll have to make sure I specify that I'm not in a hurry. So all in all, It's pretty good and I'm glad to see them in the area. I'll definitely go back and get more adventurous the next time.

I know I really should have posted my updated review months ago.. but, better late than never! So I did go back, like I said I would. And then went back again. And again. And literally every other day for about two weeks, just ask the lady behind the counter :) Why? The answer is simple my friends: VERMICELLI NOODLES with chicken. Holy cow. I don't recall ever loving a rice noodle dish this much. Honestly, one of my favorite vietnamese dishes, particularly on hot summer days. Simple, yet utterly satisfying and refreshing. Your choice of meat, paired with a delicious spring roll, bean sprouts, cucumber, fresh mint, basil and cilantro accompanied with pickled carrots, and crushed peanuts (amongst other delicous toppings), all perched atop a bed of rice vermicelli and a delicious sweet and tangy fish sauce to tie it all together. Heaven in a bowl! Don't care for Vermicelli noodles? Try their fire-cracker chicken, if you may. My younger brothers' hooked on it!

    Mmm! Hunan Chicken!

This location in North Clintonville has been the home of many hit or miss Asian food establishments. Most of them suffered from a lack of consistency and only so so food quality. Lieu's has finally got it right. The restaurant is run by the Thach family, Mom, Dad, older sister, Kim, son Eric and the youngest twins, Lily and Rose. The parents cook and the kids take turns during the week serving customers. The Thach family serves very good Chinese dishes like Hunan Chicken and Chow Fun. But their specialty is Vietnamese dishes. Cha Gio, Vietnamese spring rolls, and one of my go-to meals- grilled pork over fresh veggies and cold rice noodles smothered in a delicious sweet fish sauce. Lieu's serves up my favorite traditional dish, delicious and fresh Pho Ga (Vietnamese Noodle soup with Chicken) in an absolutely enormous portion. The broth is different from other Pho establishments in Columbus. It's a little richer, has a more pronounced flavor than other Pho I've had in town. I'm the Yelp duchess at Pho Noodle on Lane Avenue, and this Pho gives theirs a run for the money. We are regulars at Lieu's and you should be too.

I had their Cantonese Chow Fun with chicken. I can't remember ever eating a rice noodle dish, and this was a tasty first time. The sauce that the poultry/noodles/veggies were cooked in was almost sweet. I can't put my finger on it. At any rate, loved all the veggies. And plenty of chicken to satisfy my protein desires. Marlena L. Got their Tom Yum soup. It looked fantastic, but I did not try it because it was a spicy kick. It even caught Marlena by surprise. My dish was really tasty. However, as Marlena and I were getting ready to leave, Marlena noticed a quite-large bug crawling on the back of my booth. A slight thought about hygiene.

I don't think I've ever been to a Vietnamese restaurant with so many options! The moment I saw the menu, I told my boyfriend, "This is where we're eating today." And I'm so glad I made that decision. The moment we stepped inside, we already had a feeling we picked the right place. The old-school interior, the '70s and '80s music playing in the background, and the overall vibe just made me think, "Yeah, this place is going to be good." We ordered the gỏi đu đủ tôm thịt (green papaya salad with shrimp and pork), bánh bột lọc (tapioca dumplings), bánh mì thịt heo (grilled pork bánh mì), phở tái sườn bò (beef noodle soup with rare steak and beef ribs), and phở đặc biệt (beef pho combo). For the drink, we ordered iced vietnames coffee. The green papaya salad wasn't too fishy from the fish sauce, and I really enjoyed the subtle sweetness and how light and refreshing it tasted. The bánh bột lọc was a 10/10 for me. The dipping sauce and fried onions made it even better. It just disappeared into my mouth! I could've easily eaten more. When we ordered the bánh mì, we didn't really read the description or realize how big it would be. When it came out, we were shocked by the size! I also liked that the vegetables were served on the side, so we could add as much or as little as we wanted. It tasted amazing, and we enjoyed every bite. We actually ordered so many appetizers because we thought the pho portions were going to be small. Based on the reference photos and the price, we weren't expecting the bowls to be that big. But when the pho came out, we were shocked. The bowls were huge! We definitely underestimated the portion sizes here. One thing I noticed about the pho was that it tasted a little different from what I'm used to. The broth was much more herbal and aromatic, with a gentler taste rather than that strong, pungent hit on the tongue. It made me wonder if this is closer to what traditional Vietnamese pho is supposed to taste like. Just a heads-up, you pay at the counter when you're done eating rather than waiting for the server to bring the check. On our way out, we also grabbed a steamed rice cake to take home. Definitely try one if you see them because they're so good! I actually think they taste even better at room temperature rather than heated up. Everything we ordered came in such generous portions, especially for the price. Nothing tasted overly salty or overpowering, which I really appreciated. Everything tasted fresh, and I was genuinely impressed by the quality, portions, and value. I'm so glad we decided to try this place. With such a huge menu, there are already so many other dishes I want to come back for!

Quick and attentive service. We started with crispy dumplings (6), crispy egg rolls (2), and a scallion pancake. Bing, their crepe, wasn't available our night. My dining companions loved the pancake - for me perhaps a bit too much drizzled sauce. It was helpfully quartered when brought to the table so sharing was easy. The dumplings were indeed crispy and probably my favorite with a standard dark dipping sauce. The egg rolls were standard and perhaps a bit undersized and over fried, but a good creamy dipping sauce was a pivot away from the sweet chili sauce that usually accompanies such apps. Ramen is clearly the focus of the menu and three of us had ramen with chicken and one with pork. They spoke favorably of the broth and the combos of mushrooms, boiled egg, greens. I had the rice vermicelli with chicken that they called a salad. I was expecting the classic Vietnamese staple but this one had some adaptations, perhaps to a fusion or one might say less ethnic nod. Small things but the ample portion served in a small bowl made it hard to mix the rice noodles, lettuce, carrot, cucumber and chicken that is a common approach to the dish after drowning all the ingredients in both sweet sauce (nuoc cham), siracha and/or hoisin sauce. It only came with the nuoc cham. They brought Siracha when I asked for it, but I'm a fan of having these condiments on the table standard. Again, had the sense that the business lunch crowd that is probably the primary audience isn't likely to be as focused on the more authentic ingredients. The chicken was also not grilled and sliced but had a pleasant preparation. Just know it won't be the charred flavor that is so common. Finally, not to obsess on this one dish, but cutting the lettuce leaves more would enable easier chop sticks combos of the ingredients in single bites. Overall it worked for us. I am definitely the most focused on (my companions would say obsessed) on connection to what these dishes should be. If adaptations work well for you, Tiger+Lily likely will as well.

I got the stirfried chicken ramen, which is tender flavorful chicken, noodles, and tons of fresh veggies. I got it spicy, which was a little hot. But I like that. It was a rainbow of flavors and textures. Probably reasonably healthy, definitely incredibly tasty. I also got the fried jerky, because why not? Apparently it's a Laotian thing. I got mild with the spicy sauce on the side, and the jerky itself was pretty hot. The spicy sauce was not any more spicy, but was very flavorful. The jerky was thin, and crispy. Not all that different from some regular jerkies. Very good. A big portion. Came with perfect sticky rice. There was a fair amount of heat in everything except the rice. I like heat, but if you don't, order carefully. I believe there is a no spice option below the mild. Portions are good, prices are good, food is fantastic. Order was ready on time.
