And for some reason, on my birthday, I decide randomly that I want to get a tattoo... well, the other day was that day. I called Sea Wolf curious if they had availability, and they said yet, come on in! So I did. I was so fortunate because James was available and right off of the bat his energy was everything and just added to the beauty of the day! He was kind, caring, outgoing, conversational.. we had deep convos, light convos.. it was just awesome. He helped me pick out my tattoo and he did a great job. We talked through the entire thing, I felt no pain and I am so so thrilled with the work. The energy and vibe in this shop is awesome. I will definitely be coming here for all of my other tattoos and seeing James. Price made sense for what it was and I couldn't be happier!

Anything from fine line to traditional to new school to (what I like to call and what I personally get) the coffin special. I have had the absolute pleasure and honor of being able to work with the most honest, transparent, humble, creative, and proud artist I've ever met. Garrett is someone who has done everything under the sun but understands that if it's not a tattoo he wants to do, it's not going to be the best you can get. There have been several times where I've met someone in public and seen a tattoo and said to myself "That looks like Garrett", sure as shit it always is (I'm an absolute sucker for this man's grey wash). Both piercers made me feel comfortable and at ease (as well as the cool front desk staff and the general vibes) and i felt good about how clean/sterile everything was. I've had some uncomfortable experiences being pierced before and these were the opposite of that. Both piercers took their time marking it evenly and were really nice and attentive, tbh the placement is so much better than i had in mind. i'm glad i trusted the vision. wish i would've come here sooner!

He tried to charge me $750, all most $1k for two cover ups that should be $400 at the most, told me my tattoos we're shitty and he's the best tattoo artist in the city , Charlie please look at your own tattoos before speaking on someone else's. I told him I wasn't gonna post a review, but the New Yorker in me couldn't stay silent, your customer service skills are horrible and you should do better. (Mind you I had $3k cash on me, would have spent it all for better service)

I really wanted to get one by him as well considering the great work he did for my friend. However, when I called and emailed I discovered they only allow for appointments made IN PERSON. This is perfectly convenient for people like my friend who live in Maple Grove, but an unnecessary inconvenience for people willing to drive farther. So let me get this straight, I have to drive 35-40 minutes (one way) just to schedule an appointment? Not only that, but I don't want to discuss my tattoo with just anyone; I want to be able to talk with MY artist...not some random "walk-in" artist. Can't I make an appointment with that specific artist so I KNOW they will be available when I get up there? Nope. You just have to be...well...LUCKY. When it comes to permanent ink in my skin, I want certainty. Identity made me feel like they didn't really care one way or another about my business. I guess they get more than enough business from Maple Grove.
