The worse of the worse I get here at 8 and they didn't tell me they close at that time so they just steel my money cause all bars and food wasn't hot or good at the moment they had the 50% or less no desserts and no meet but what we try was horrible by the way

It has a pretty good selection but the walk way to get food is to tight, especially going down to the Asian area...no bueno.

    Look for this place!

OMG I cannot believe this Golden Corral is still around! Not because its not good, in fact its very good, but because it's OLD! This is the first Golden Corral I ever went to, instilling in me a lifelong love of buffets. About this particular GC: great variety of entrees, steak is alright, not too congested, and the best part: CHOCOLATE STATION! For my money the best fudge you can get period. All for about $10!

Yum yum in mah tum tum.

It became a special treat for our family while visiting our Tía in home hospice--and one of her last, most joyful bites. Food and our family's recipes are at the heart of who we are, so hearing my Tía Emma call it "magnificent" meant everything. While, we didn't dine in, we noted the atmosphere struck the right balance of upscale bar and grill on our two visits. Please note, this place get packed on weekend nights. If you want to eat here on the weekend swing by from 4 to 5:30pm.

As we were seated our waiter took 10 min to great us and then another 12 min to bring our drinks. I didn't think anything of it yet it was a precursor to the rest of our dinner. After he took our order our kids food came out in a very timely fashion but our two orders of salmon and one steak sandwich took 40 min to arrive at the table. What a ridiculous waste of my time because my sandwich was missing the fries ordered and our waiter thought nothing of it till I brought it up then he took another 10 min to bring my fries. All this while simultaneously forgetting the sauce for the salmon which also took another 10 min to bring out. The salmon was so dry it was tacky and stuck to your teeth. If you know the feeling you know it's bad. The rice that came underneath the salmon was crunchy and way undercooked. All while the waiter was like oh I can bring you free deserts for your wait all while I could only think about how I just wanted to leave. I was internally livid and exhausted but kept it to my self after seeing the owner or manager who we the guy with the white hair over at the bar enjoying a few alcoholic beverages meanwhile his restaurants service and waitstaff to the worst possible job they can. I saw the people who got the most attention and good service were all regulars sitting at the bar laughing it up with the manager/owner older guy. Why not make sure your restaurant is running smoothly and food is being delivered and prepared properly and stop trying to impress the regulars who most likely will show up either way. Any restaurant that is this unorganized and unmotivated is due to crappy management. All this and the waiter is like I'll comp you for the steak sandwich with a discount for the bad service and salmon which was a whopping $5. I don't want a discount I don't want free day old desserts I want good service and decent food. Discounts and free desserts will never fix the problem because it will always be a crutch for trashy customer service. How about stop drinking with the guests and whoop that staff into semi decent shape buy some high chairs and make sure your expo does a once over quality check on the food and time it takes to get to the table EVEN if that means stepping in and doing it yourself. The restaurant is dark the tables are sticky the whole place is very compact . Perfect and quite attractive after 5-6 wines for sure. I'm sure the food is outstanding after a few drinks as well . They gave us a $25 dollar gift card to return which if I could I'd give to the owner so he could experience the same horrible food and service we did. I wouldn't even give the gift card to someone I hated. This was one of the first times in a long time I didn't just let it slide because I understand all restaurants and people have bad days but this was exceptionally bad. If you are thinking it can't be that bad think again it absolutely can. The whole "I'm sorry we usually have awesome service and everyone loves our food it's probably just me and my family " is laughable . This isn't my first time here while visiting El Paso. The food is getting worse.

I had the pot roast with salad, and had bread pudding for dessert. My dining partners had a chili bowl with corn muffin, a Denver omelette with hash browns and corned beef hash with potatoes, scrambled eggs and added a waffle, because WAFFLES!! Oh and they split a chocolate cream pie. So my salad was amazing, forgot to take a pic. The ranch dressing here is really good. Ripe to and crisp romaine. And nice cucumbers. My pot roast was so tender it was simply falling apart, the veggies under were nice. The gravy was yummy, I had to ask for some extra. The green beans were simply amazing here. And they had corn on the cob!!! Bi-colored, sweet, tender-crisp when you took a bite! SO GOOD. My dining partners liked their food, the Denver omelette was a picture to look at and huge. The only real complaint there was the has was just too dry. It was just shredded corned beef and small cubed potatoes. It needed something to bring it all together, she said. She didn't finish it. The 3 of them split a chocolate cream pie. It looked very nice but when cutting into it, to share slices, that was impossible, it was not set inside, it was very runny. Perhaps the waiter grabbed one that had just been made and not one that had chilled long enough, but they ate it with spoons and loved the flavor. My bread pudding was spectacular. I love Bread Pudding anyway, but this was very very good but the third bite in, it was cold, not just refrigerator cold but super cold. So I called the waiter back over and asked him to please reheat it because it was like near frozen in the middle. Which he happily did and also added some fresh whipped cream for me. So a couple of miscues with the desserts but all in all a nice birthday celebration. MAGGIE, I know you wanted me to email you, on my previous review, HOWEVER, your email address you gave bounced back as undeliverable or not an email address on several email options I have. Just to let you know, I tried. I was going to just come talk to you in person, but today was not the day to do that sort of thing. Could you check and see if your email address is correct? Thank you! Love the BBD! Will be back again.

Our server Alex will receive 5/5 stars for his kindness, attentiveness and attention to not only our table but his very full and frequently sat section. However, when reaching out to other staff members for assistance in his absence, there were some things that fell through the cracks. Missing silverware, condiments not being present, and at times things going forgotten or unnoticed when requested. The appetizer (pictured) Philly Egg-rolls, were the best food option we received for brunch that afternoon. It was shareable between 3 adults and filling before the entrees arrived. I wouldn't order the Monte Cristo Sandwhich again, very large, dry and just didn't pair well with the potatoes and the jam offered (pictured). We did have to switch out drinks due to her taste and upkeep up the beverages. The sweet tea originally ordered did not taste well but received new drinks upon request: Mango and Strawberry lemonade. This is a family friendly place, busy, but I would give it another chance.

Indeed, they lived up to their Yelp reviews. I had a 20 oz. Bone in Ribeye (the way God intended ) cooked medium with backed potato. I won't be slapping my mother but I will call her later this evening , to sing the praises of this excellent piece of meat. Particularly the char. It is the best I have ever had. If this placed served a dish that consisted of nothing but the end pieces (where they hug the bone) I would have to consider moving here. That char was perfectly blackened & bursting with flavor. The baked potato (which was backed in an oven & NOT microwaved) was very good also. The Alex's Philly Cheesecake was not as good as the steak but it got the job done. I sat at the bar so the service was immediate but the unsweetened tea tasted like I was the second person who drank some all day. This place is large (it has 'Texas' right in the name!) & because you have to do parking lot gymnastics in the full parking lot, I expected a little wait on this hot Sunday afternoon. Happily there was no wait. It has a high barn-like roof that amplifies customers talking to a semi-comfortable background cacophony but the steak was so good I entered into my own little world. The only down side was that the steak & especially the backed potato could have been a little hotter. If I ever wander through these parts again, I will definitely return. 4-stars

Well village inn is the closest I can get to that 'round here. Their pie selection has you going "I want that one, and that one, and that one but warm with ice cream!" I settled on peach lattice with no ice cream, and coffee and a water. The pie was baked a tick too long, the crust had that slightly over baked texture and taste, like it was about to burn but got snatched out of the oven just in time but the bitterness in the taste still remained. The filling started to evaporate in that over-baking but enough juice still remained and the peaches were delicious. The coffee? Was kinda strong for my liking, I think another Diner that rhymes with Lenny's has much better coffee. Service was fine, I was greeted quickly and sat immediately and a young man Came to get my drink order almost immediately but honestly there were only about 3 cars in the parking lot this afternoon. The place was clean, all tables set with blue coffee mugs and menus and silverware. Lots of blue when Village Inn's main color is a soft mint green. I suppose this is because they are getting ready for the changeover we've been told was coming for like 5 years or so to change them all to Butter smith's and leave the Village Inn Franchise. All in all it was fine, just no WOW! I'd come back for a different slice of pie.
