For what I would have spent anywhere else ($18 plus tip) but with all the choices you get it's worth it I think. The food isn't always the hottest and sometimes they are slow on replenishing, but it's a HUGE buffet, compared to others in town so I guess it can be slow at times. There are Lots of salad choices, TONS of sushi and sushi roll options. They have a hibachi with guys just waiting for you to select what you want and they will freshly stir fry it for you. They add shrimp after 4 pm to the chicken, pork and beef options plus the plethora of fresh veggies. Then there is the typical Chinese and near Japanese premades like broccoli beef, broccoli chicken, steamed and yellow "fried" rice and noodle. Mushroom chicken, General Tso's chicken, along with some black bean mussels salt and pepper fried squid, etc. etc, 4-5 soups to choose including egg drop, sweet and sour, clam chowder, spicy seafood. And tons of other American dishes like pot roast style brisket, mashed potatoes and gravy, fried catfish, baked salmon and whitefish. And Mexican like nachos, caldio, picadillo, enchiladas, taco makings, and tons of desserts. Yea, for $18 you can't leave hungry. Try something new. If you don't like it, get something else. I left plenty satiated today. I arrived just after one so they were filling all the buffet with fresh food. I really like the peel and eat tiger shrimp today. And they had some kind of knuckles in a spicy brown sauce? I didn't like them myself but the pan kept emptying out so a lot of people must love them. The sweet tea was right on point. And the place looked fine for a buffet with 4 main dining rooms. Bathroom, well, the men's, was clean, soap dispensers were full and paper towels available ... plenty of table help today. But they are hiring. I come here about once a month. I like the food options here when I don't know exactly what I want but I want some Asian and Mexican and some salad... lol! When you first walk in, it feels like you're going through TSA. The cashier gave no direction and was basically out of it. The next state of confusion was the set up on the buffet. Holy mess what a disaster!! The soup is near ice cream, sushi is on the opposite side away from the Hibachi, Chinese mixed with Mexican, desserts in two different places with no bowls for fruit and only plates. The only thing that made sense was the salad bar...no sign or direction on anything. No wonder the people are rude, they're wondering around lost and confused. When we went in to pay first cuz it s a buffet, the service didn't told us it was their last time or anything cuz they close at 930, we went there at 8, so we went grab food, but there will no food at all, and I asked if they gonna refill, they say no. I pay like $42 for 2 and only eat left over, so I talked to our service, she was nice and recommend us to talk to the manager and get our refund back. But the manager was the biggest issue. When I brought up a concern about no food, only left over, the manager was incredibly rude and dismissive. Instead of fixing the problem, they made me feel like an inconvenience. The place is really dingy, like the carpets haven't been washed in a while the seats were sticky and it looks dirty (there was a broom and dustpan next to my table all the time we where there). Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - so many items to choose from! Ranging from sushi bar, BBQ, stir fry, and some Mexican food, there's something for everyone. Buffets are not the best food in terms of quality and flavor but it was enjoyable overall and we would definitely do again if we're in the area. Notable items: some of the nigiri (rice with raw fish) is actually great in that it tastes fairly fresh and the ratio is reasonable. We highly enjoyed the fried squid and octopus though the latter was a bit sweet depending what part of the batch you got. The mussels, clams, and crawfish were all pretty good though it does get a bit salty. The pork and beef ribs had decent cook though the sauce was a bit sweet. Ambience: 4/5 - a bit older or trafficked restaurant so some things are fairly worn. The tables are clean and the keep the food counters fairly clean as well! The bathroom is a bit icky but understandable for the amount of people passing through. A large fish pond in front with coins and bills thrown in. A few TVs with Spanish channels on Service: 5/5 - quick and responsive. We never had more than one or two plates on the table before they come by to pick it up Value for price: 5/5 - $12.99 for weekday lunch. The place was very busy and packed for a Monday dinner . But I love the little fountain in the lobby it was nice . The waiter we had was very nice and friendly he is good with his job I like that . The food was delicious and hot so many varieties to choose from . The sushi was fresh and nicely prepared. My only problem I would say was the bathroom it was very dirty especially the man bathroom my hubby said that it wasn't flush and there was surprise in most of the toilet. Seems like they busy with the food that they forgot about keeping the bathroom clean . People are so disgusting how you not gonna clean up after yourself in public? I use to like this place but not anymore. It's overpriced and I don't like the food selection. Most of the food is cold and when we went last Sunday, we saw a small roach walking next to all the cakes. We told an employee and the employee killed the roach and I lost my appetite after that. I will be surprised if they pass their next inspection. Lins which is close by failed their last inspection because of insects and dirty equipment. I only come here because my grandma likes it here. AND when we have a huge group of our family get togethers. They have sooo many tables inside the restaurant. The servers who refill your drinks are also super attentive (well the ones I've experienced). They have so much food to choose from here for example: Mexican, Italian, seafood, sushi, vegan, Japanese and Chinese food or if you just want a salad... they have a variety of salad items to choose from. Also they have a steak and Mongolian grill if you choose your own liking. I don't mind coming here but always be prepared to be around a LARGE crowd. Customers can be rude here in the buffet area so you are warned. They also have a good selection of desserts for your sweet tooth. While on workation in El Paso, my partner was a on the hunt for food. We decided not to Yelp just ride around and look for a restaurant with cars. Rule of thumb, don't eat anywhere where there's not a lot of cars. As we was about to head out, I noticed quite another of cars in the parking lot and 2 police cruisers. On your march, get set, ready......chargeeeeeee. So let me tell u, THAT WAS THE BEST BUFFET I have ever been to! You know WE ( including you that's reading) like to get 2 plates at a time. Not me, my foodie booty had to have 3 plates. 3 plates like I didn't have any home training. My parter at the time was 6'5 and about 300lbs. I kept up with him going back and forth to the buffet table. As I was on my 5th round, I noticed a lady with an ear piece. As I ear hustled. I hear her reporting which food items need refreshing and out of. Each time I went up to the buffet table everything looked fresh. Our waiter kept our glasses full. Now one thing that wasn't up to par was the ice cream section. I would have loved to have chocolate flavor including chocolate syrup and maybe some whipped cream. Any hoo, 5 stars across the board. ROACHES!!! I've told staff and management yet they don't seem to care! They have been outted for having them and they continue to charge so much for not even a clean environment to eat food!, the restrooms are nasty and half the stalls don't work, the seats are ripping and tearing, wobbly tables, nothing gets cleaned except for the food area. Idk why people still eat or come here considering they have found roaches on the tables, grounds and in the food!!! They really need to address this, idk who they have friends with or if they are paying off someone but health department does nothing no matter how much being called. This place has good food with a large variety. They have a lovely fountain in the front of the restaurant! The service was really on point as well. It was quite pricey for dinner but I think it's worth it considering it's also a grill and sushi is available. I was so pleased with the atmosphere. You can tell they put a lot of work into maintaining a high standard with cleanliness as well. None of the food looks old and everything is at the proper temperature. Someone else in my party tried a few pieces of sushi and they really enjoyed it. The variety of sushi is very diverse and the area it is displayed in is organized and visually pleasing.
