For what I would have spent anywhere else ($18 plus tip) but with all the choices you get it's worth it I think. The food isn't always the hottest and sometimes they are slow on replenishing, but it's a HUGE buffet, compared to others in town so I guess it can be slow at times. There are Lots of salad choices, TONS of sushi and sushi roll options. They have a hibachi with guys just waiting for you to select what you want and they will freshly stir fry it for you. They add shrimp after 4 pm to the chicken, pork and beef options plus the plethora of fresh veggies. Then there is the typical Chinese and near Japanese premades like broccoli beef, broccoli chicken, steamed and yellow "fried" rice and noodle. Mushroom chicken, General Tso's chicken, along with some black bean mussels salt and pepper fried squid, etc. etc, 4-5 soups to choose including egg drop, sweet and sour, clam chowder, spicy seafood. And tons of other American dishes like pot roast style brisket, mashed potatoes and gravy, fried catfish, baked salmon and whitefish. And Mexican like nachos, caldio, picadillo, enchiladas, taco makings, and tons of desserts. Yea, for $18 you can't leave hungry. Try something new. If you don't like it, get something else. I left plenty satiated today. I arrived just after one so they were filling all the buffet with fresh food. I really like the peel and eat tiger shrimp today. And they had some kind of knuckles in a spicy brown sauce? I didn't like them myself but the pan kept emptying out so a lot of people must love them. The sweet tea was right on point. And the place looked fine for a buffet with 4 main dining rooms. Bathroom, well, the men's, was clean, soap dispensers were full and paper towels available ... plenty of table help today. But they are hiring. I come here about once a month. I like the food options here when I don't know exactly what I want but I want some Asian and Mexican and some salad... lol! It always fits the bill.

Pest control and health department need to inspect. Not sure if I will be back. Lost appetite after this. 50 bucks waisted for 2 people.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - so many items to choose from! Ranging from sushi bar, BBQ, stir fry, and some Mexican food, there's something for everyone. Buffets are not the best food in terms of quality and flavor but it was enjoyable overall and we would definitely do again if we're in the area. Notable items: some of the nigiri (rice with raw fish) is actually great in that it tastes fairly fresh and the ratio is reasonable. We highly enjoyed the fried squid and octopus though the latter was a bit sweet depending what part of the batch you got. The mussels, clams, and crawfish were all pretty good though it does get a bit salty. The pork and beef ribs had decent cook though the sauce was a bit sweet. Ambience: 4/5 - a bit older or trafficked restaurant so some things are fairly worn. The tables are clean and the keep the food counters fairly clean as well! The bathroom is a bit icky but understandable for the amount of people passing through. A large fish pond in front with coins and bills thrown in. A few TVs with Spanish channels on Service: 5/5 - quick and responsive. We never had more than one or two plates on the table before they come by to pick it up Value for price: 5/5 - $12.99 for weekday lunch. It's a great price for decent food and lots of variety!

had a nice experience here the staff was kind and helpful, many buffet options, and women's bathroom seemed clean, decent price as well! i don't expect too much with buffets because they're all relatively the same in my experience haha, my favorite part was trying all of their different sushi and rolls which was actually pretty good

Good experience with the food. Waitress took a while to attend me so I did not have a drink while eating my first plate.

My husband is a fan of hibachi style cuisine so we looked up a spot near our home and Koze was the first to pop up! They also had good reviews so we were all for it. When we first arrived the hostess asked if we wanted to be seated at the grill (for show) or the dining room. Since my husband does like watching the cook do his thing, we opted to wait the 15-20 minutes for a grill to become available. Next time we will definitely make note to call ahead and make a reservation though! Once we were seated we looked over the menu to see our options. I will say that the service at Koze was a bit lacking. Our waitress took quite a while to come around for our drink order, main course and then at the end of the evening for us to pay our bill. I'm not sure if she was serving a lot of other tables for the night but that was just our experience. It would have been nice if she came around more so we weren't looking for her. My husbands parents got the shrimp and scallop meal to split, my husband ordered the chicken and scallops. I, however, decided to try their sushi - so I got the California roll and the BBQ salmon roll. Once the chef came around to start cooking (which took quite a while) he started the show. I will also note that there was a bit of a language barrier between us and the chef. He tried asking us questions, such as if we were celebrating a birthday, but it was very hard for us to understand what he was saying. We could also tell he was a bit new at the job because certain "tricks" he'd mess up on or had to try a couple times before he got it right. For the food, I will say that I did enjoy my sushi. Both rolls were delicious! My husband ate mostly the protein on his plate. They give a huge portion of fried rice for the main courses, it's definitely enough for two people. I believe his parents said they thought the meal was good as well. I think it came down to the service we received which kind of left a bad impression. The food was good it was just the lack of service that left me wanting more. I know there are other hibachi restaurants in El Paso. I will probably try those with my husband. I wouldn't mind coming back to Koze, I understand maybe they were just having a bad day. But I would also try other places.

We used to be in and out of here in under an hour each time we would come. Unfortunately, the last 3 or 4 times we have been here have been AWFUL experiences. Nothing could compare to tonight... we were sat quickly, our appetizers came in a decent-ish amount of time. Shortly after finishing, we order 2 rolls each... we sat and waited for these rolls for over an HOUR!! It was insanity and I was so over it. Not once did the waiter come around to explain the delay. Our rolls finally come and 3/4 rolls are wrong. We come often, I know what I like and I know what my favorite rolls look like. My husband had to get up and hunt our waiter down to let him know. I was ready to just leave after paying our bill. The waiter comes by with attitude telling me that those are the rolls that we ordered and even after explaining to him how I knew those were not our rolls, he refused to take them back. We were faced with the hard decision of fighting this waiter and getting these off our bill or sucking it up and eating them. Not only were these not my rolls but they not good in the slightest. My husband had to take one for the team and help finish them. Going up to the front counter to pay for our bill, we encountered 3 other couples who had similar experiences and just wanted to get the heck out of there. Other than the ridiculously rude and clueless waiter, this establishment has the worst management (or lack thereof). There is one waiter I want to give a shoutout to. The tall, slim, bald gentleman has been working here since we started coming and he has always given the best service!! Better management would turn this place around but until then, will NOT be back...
