Hello, I was in the mood for some buffet food so I went here thinking I was gonna get an egg roll and cheese Rangoon fix and possibly some nachos, but I was mistaken. This place has mostly home cook meals something like comfort food. I did enjoy the fried fish and the tartar sauce had a nice sweet taste to it. I did like the mac & cheese as it was creamy. The rolls were good with the honey spread and I tried to do a slushy, but it was super sweet so I ended up leaving after that, but the Arnold Palmer was very much worth the three dollars cause I was able to get two refills. The price was good for the two plates that I had and the only thing that was missing was I should've went to a Chinese buffet because that's what I'm used to. But don't let me deter you from coming here. They do have some good comfort food if that's what you're in the mood for. The crowd was mostly an older crowd cause I went on a Monday but if you're in the mood for this type of food, $13.99 is not that bad I think that's what my receipt said. We had been avoiding this place like the plague because, well, you know...buffets. But to our surprise, we enjoyed our visit. The outside was dated line your typical Golden Corral, but the inside was newly renovated and clean. The layout differed from some other layouts I've seen. It felt more like eating at someone's home than a restaurant. We went at 10:30a so we were able to do both breakfast and lunch. The food wasn't exceptionally good but was decent for the price. My family decided to come here to eat dinner. I was a little hesitant as I thought it was really pricey to eat here. However, to my surprise it was really reasonable. I started off with a salad and happy they had so many toppings to choose from because I love a salad with all the fixings! They have a grill section of the restaurant that offers steak at your preferred cook level. I appreciated this as not everyone likes their steak well done. The sides they had to offer were mash potatoes, Mac n cheese, broccoli, okra, rice, cauliflower, and many more options I cannot count off hand. There is something for everyone. If you want something small and want to go on the lighter side they also offer soups as well. The service was great from the moment we stepped in to the moment we left. I could tell automatically this team works very hard as the waiters and waitresses were very quick with bringing drinks and attending to as many tables as they could. As soon as one person left the bus boy was quick to clean up the tables. I could also see the women in the kitchen constantly putting in more food so their was plenty and was pleased because everyone loves to have fresh food on their plate. The atmosphere is busy and loud, but I think that is very normal for a buffet. There is enough tables to seat 4 to a booth or 8 to a table. The level of cleanliness of this restaurant was impressive and I could tell the manager truly cares about the establishment and serving its customers. Sasha made my husband and my omelettes customized to perfection. I brought random ingredients and she made it so beautiful. My husband had bacon wrapped pork and I had sausage, bacon, jalapeno, pico, etc. I don't have a picture because we ate it before we had a chance, one taste and I'm definitely coming back. The food was.... Well, Golden Corral...buffet style, with some items better than others. Fried Chicken and Pot Roast is the go to. Salad area was suspect. I really found the guy working the grill to be quite obtuse and prickly. Very abrupt and sharp tongued to customers. My mom and I went to this Golden Corral on Saturday, 01-27-2024, to attend a private party for a family member. I think the best time to go to one is on the weekends anyway because I believe that's when the food is fresher due to high turnover. I must say that the food was hot, fresh and delicious. The staff were so courteous and helpful. One young man who was assigned to our party offered to help go get my elderly mom more food if she wanted something so that she didn't have to get up to walk. She can be a very hard person to please, but she was very impressed with the food and the staff. Now she wants me to drive almost 50 miles to go to this Golden Corral from now on (LOL). I couldn't believe he grabbed them with his bare hands, then I was mortified as I watched him place one back on the plate for customers. The food is just okay, but not so nutritional if you are careless in choosing. I have to admit that there are many healthy choices from the salad bar. (Especially if you like canned peaches, canned pears, and the like). :-) Would I come here on my own if I didn't have a meeting? ...probably not. Don't come here if you are hungry, you will overeat and regret it. As a sidenote, some of the people I was eating with related that the bacon and the little chicken fried steaks (he called them chicken fried mystery meat!) were much more greasy than normal. Also, the CF steaks were preformed and mushy. And, previously things were greasy enough, so I'm not certain what happened. The assigned waitresses always bring ample coffee and orange juice, and they are friendly. Don't expect gourmet, but the meeting room at no up-charge with dedicated service is a plus. Anyway, beware the calorie-laden breakfast items (once there was breaded fried bacon, but no more), and opt for the fruit and salads. Went there last night for thanksgiving dinner with my family. I called ahead of time to make sure we knew the hrs and the prices we was told that they close at 8pm we got there at 6pm and the owner comes out and tells everyone that rather they have paid and eaten or haven't they was pulling the food at 7pm so I called today to find out what happened and the owner lied and said she said 7:30 not 7pm which is plenty of time to eat and I understand it's her right as a business owner to close when she wants to but at least say that the hr very not on the spot change like that read more

I Travel a lot as well eat at Golden Corrals throughout the US. Tonight I had a chance to eat at the Humble TX GC. While the restaurant seems to be fairly new this has to be the worse one I have ever eaten at. I can not think of any one item that was suppose to be hot that actually was. Shrimp was cold and terrible both the popcorn ( which was just sitting on counter not under a heat lamp) fried shrimp was cold as well. Even the gravy was luke warm. The Walmart of buffets. You'll know what I mean when you walk in. It's not as expensive as other buffets and the food, when fresh, is actually quite tasty. Good selection too. Friendly folks. Manager was all over the place filling in for employees when they got busy. No qualms about her title. Customer service oriented. Pizza, burgers and chicken all good when fresh. Lots of stuff to choose from. Hard ice cream scooped (sherbet, cookies and cream or butter pecan). Chocolate and white chocolate machines. Freshly spun cotton candy was a big hit too. All I can say is that the manager of this restaurant should be fired immediately. I wish I had walked the buffet before I paid for a meal. A lot of the food especially the vegetables old and been sitting there for so long they're brown. There are molded runt tomatoes in with the cherry tomatoes. Notes the carrots are browning and the cauliflower was cooked with dark moldy places all over it. Come on...carrots are cheap, so is cauliflower , so why not put fresh out so that people won't think all your food is old and icky? Sure, I found meat I could eat and the canned green beans...but after seeing the moldy tomatoes and brown carrot dishes, I won't be back. read more

I was pleasantly surprised when I ate here with my father. He wanted to try it but I was skeptical. The buffet area was clean. The food was good. Our waiter was very attentive and kept our glasses full and our empty plates removed. The location just got renovated and already horrible service. I always visit this location after leaving the gym and get my food to go. I grabbed the to go box" wandered around and loved the new setting. The staff seemed to hate being there. This didn't bother me but when I needed assistance..I was being ignored. I didn't let this bother me. I went to the salad bar and noticed there wasn't any chicken strips to make a salad. I asked a lady over there who actually answered me and asked if they were bringing out any chicken for the salad. She bacon and tuna is all that's available for the salad and with an attitude. I asked her with a smile if they stopped carrying for their salads and she took it as me arguing with her and she said with a attitude there's no chicken. I still Thank you as she walked away muttering something. This bothered me. I Walked around with a tray and a sweet potato in it and lost my appetite right away and left my plate there. I can't believe I'm saying this but Golden Corral isn't already known to be a great buffet in this area but to have it renovated and have a staff that upset at working there after the first day of being open is pretty sad. I love their selection for breakfast, but if your at the end of breakfast the biscuits for biscuits and gravy have a hut ir miss at being a bit hard.
