LongHorn Steakhouse is one of my favorite places when I'm craving a casual steak dinner. I decided to take my dad here for Father's Day, and luckily this location offered online waitlist reservations. The average wait was about 50 minutes, so it was nice being able to wait at home and head out when our table was almost ready. It was my first time visiting this location, and it did not disappoint. Noah's service was top-notch! He was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the 20 oz. Ribeye and the 8 oz. Sirloin. The 20 oz. ribeye seemed a bit smaller than usual, but the food was still great. The mashed potatoes were definitely the standout side dish. If I had one piece of feedback, it would be that the floor in our booth and the seats were covered in bread crumbs. It may have been due to how busy Father's Day was, but the dining experience would have been even better if the area had been swept. Other than that, the food and service were excellent. We celebrated my dad's 74th birthday here, and overall the experience was okay, but it was lacking a bit this time. My dad ordered a steak cooked well done, but it came out burnt. He tried to eat it, but it had a bitter taste from being overcooked and ultimately had to send it back. The remake was good. My husband ordered the chicken fried chicken, and while it was okay, it didn't taste as good as it did when we last visited about three months ago. I ordered the shrimp appetizer, the flavor was good, but it wasn't as crispy as it should have been. We also had the Brussels sprouts, but the usual sauce they are tossed in seemed to be missing, along with that crispy texture we have enjoyed before. When we first arrived, there was trash under our table, which wasn't appreciated. We did ask for it to be swept, and they handled it quickly. However, the person who swept seemed to have a bit of a bad attitude, though she did take care of it promptly. It was very busy, so perhaps the staff was stretched thin. On a positive note, our waitress was very attentive and kind, which we truly appreciated. They also brought out a complimentary ice cream sundae for my dad's birthday, which was such a sweet touch. We even got to see our favorite waitress, Brandy... she didn't serve us this time but came over to say hello, and that meant a lot. Thank you for helping us celebrate. Mid-week dinner with Fancy, and it was ok. LongHorn always has a relaxed, laid-back vibe, which is why we usually grab seats at the bar. I ordered a Lemon Drop and baby that drink showed up ready to work. Crisp, balanced, and easily the best part of my meal. Fancy kept it simple with a Sprite. For food, I went with wings and fries. The fries were fine, but the wings were a bit undercooked for my taste, and that's a no-ma'am for me. Fancy ordered the chop steak with garlic mashed potatoes, and her plate looked solid. Service was decent but forgettable. Nobody was rude, nobody was amazing. Just there. Doing the job. Clocked in energy. Would I go back? Yes, but I'd skip the wings next time and order my usual Wild West Shrimp instead, which has never done me dirty. Noah is the absolute best server I have probably ever had anywhere! He was so kind , knowledgeable, was taking care of everyone in our section tonight just with such joy and happiness! After a hard annoying day at work it was really nice to sit down and be made to feel so comfortable and not rushed. We popped in for a steak dinner and decided to sit at the bar. Our drinks were served up super quickly, which was a great start! We ordered a 6 oz and an 8 oz renegade sirloin, both center-cut top sirloin, cooked to a perfect medium and generously seasoned. Yum! The Caesar salad was dressed just right, topped with big, delicious shavings of parmesan. The strawberry pecan salad, which had a little extra charge but was totally worth it! It was a delightful mix of fresh field greens, strawberries, grapes, mandarin oranges, candied pecans, and feta, all drizzled with a tasty raspberry vinaigrette. And for dessert, we had THE Cheesecake--oh boy, was it rich and creamy on a graham cracker crust, topped with whipped cream, candied pecans, and caramel. It was definitely a treat! Overall, the food was amazing! Just a tiny hiccup: our server brought the check before checking if we were ready to wrap up, and we would have loved to order another round of drinks. We came to eat our Christmas Eve dinner and we regret coming. I ordered the Longhorn Salmon. It was over cooked, dry and under seasoned. The side of broccoli was really sour, bitter to the taste. My wife has a steak and she asked for it well done. It came burned. My older son ordered a steak medium and it was all nerves. Had to send it back because it was really chewy. His broccoli was sour too. My other son ordered baby back ribs and the meat was tuff where the bones did not tear off. He ended up not eating. On top of that the server kept walking by and not helping until the manager got involved. I have eaten at different Longhorn steak houses but never have we been so disappointed with the food and service. I recommend lowering the heat on the grill to not burn the food and equally helping all customers. read more

Called today because we planned a last-minute birthday dinner for me and this Longhorn was the most convenient for everyone who was planning to attend. Decided to call earlier in the day to see if they could accommodate 15 to 20 people (didn't ask for a reservation, just wanted to know if they were willing to put tables together for that large of a group) and they turned me over to a manager who sounded annoyed the second I mentioned the amount of people. I get it, it's last minute and y'all don't do reservations, I wasn't asking for one. There are ways you can communicate good/bad/neutral news and not sound like a d-bag. Apparently this manager didn't take that training class because while he was giving me his monotone corporate answer at lightning speed, I asked if maybe a family member could arrive a little earlier so they can hold the place in line/started the process of clearing tables while we got there and I got a "You must've missed the part where I said we won't sit you until your entire party is here". Learn how to talk to people, I do it for a living and the last thing you want is to make someone feel unwelcome. A simple "I'm sorry sir, that wouldn't be possible but if you call a bit before you arrive, maybe we can do something for you but no promises" would've sufficed. But it seems he got what he wanted because we have decided to go have some burgers at Rodeo Goat instead, they were super friendly and told me it shouldn't be a problem. Even if it were a problem or does require a wait, I'd be happy to wait since they knew how to talk to people. Even got a "happy birthday" at the end. Customer service is key, who knew? Chain steakhouse with lots of steak (what a surprise) and not much of anything else. Setup to look like old Texas restaurant, with lots of wood and dim lights. Good internal decoration ideas, with food that does not live up to its promise. Steaks I had were dry and non appetizing whatsoever. Service was about average, but servings of bread were plentiful and delicious. So the theme here might be cheap steak and plentiful carbs! Of particular note was the temperature of this establishment. It seemed that manager has a thing for cold temperatures as the restaurant was freezing during my visit, and I overheard other customers complaining. Keep in mind that I love colder settings on air conditioner - but dining inside a refrigerator is not my cup of tea! read more

ordered ribs that came out looking like a porkchop. eventually got the right entree after my date finished eating. then the manager failed to return the loyalty card so we are in for another trip to the restaurant. because I split the check they will only apply one check to the loyalty program and obviously the look for the lowest check amount to credit to the account. even if my name is in both credit cards the manager says it is not policy to cover both sides of a check for loyalty credits as my buddies may be covering for my cost of drinking. Which makes absolutely no sense, is asinine, and does not apply and is kind of insulting; but if it helps with me with my expense account it is bad for saltgrass and landry. so they are off my list as a go to eatery as I don't want to cost them anymore credits to my account. There last night for my mother's birthday. The rest of the family had steak, which they enjoyed. I had the pork chops. They tasted fine, but were tough. Service was okay but not great. I've tried this place about 5 times. The wait is often long so I guess someone likes it. My reason for not liking it, each and every time my order has gone south and I don't get creative with my choices. Last visit I ordered a martini, she asked if I wanted a double I said sure.....out comes the smallest martini glass I've ever seen. I asked for three olives since it was a double (it was barely a single) the person who handed me the drink says we'll try it. I take a sip. I think what in the actual hell is this. Took another sip, it was water with three unstuffed olives in it. I asked my over 21 y.o. Son to take a sip and asked are my taste buds asleep. He said nope that's water. Credit to the people working there, they all apologized and acted apologetic. A manager, came to tell me they accidentally did this "cooling" the glass. Ummm you use ice to do that not tap water. We decided we didn't want to fight the Friday night Valentine crowd and so we went out for a steak. We considered a lot of different places and check the reviews. Diana remembered that she had eaten here before with some friends and liked it. I had also eaten at the location in Temple. Really good steak for the money. I thought the steaks were prepared exactly right-Diana's medium well & mine medium. Perfectly done. Very tasty tender and nicely seasoned. The sides, libations and dessert were also tasty. It is a bit quieter than the other chain steak places. We had a nice evening. Except... The service wasn't great. Our server was nice but slow and a bit inattentive. The lemonade is good, baked potato soup is awesome, but don't count on your steak coming out properly cooked or seasoned. I ordered a salad, and was curious where the dressing had run off to. Kids enjoyed the french fries, but my nephew had mac and cheese that was reiterated cold in a hot dish. Thursday evening around 6:30pm. We have loved LongHorn for years, but things change. Wanted a Delmonico steak, and they had one of the best in Houston. Sad to hear it's discontinued. Ordered salads, RibEye & Pork Chops, baked potato and their new fire grilled corn on the cob. Salads arrived quickly, but so did the entrees. When we go out for a $100.00 meal, we like to take our time. HATE having to stop eating my salad and move it aside so they can deliver the main entree. Do I finish my salad and let my steak get cold? Do I start eating my steak and abandon my salad? So we had salad bowls, entree plates, side dishes and bread crowding the table. It was like a buffet instead of fine dining. My sister and mother who is partially blind from both eyes came into this location to have dinner around 5:00. They had asked the host to be sitter at the front as this is more comfortable for my mother to be able to sit closer to the front door and this request was denied . Instead of being sat where they requested they were sat in the back of the restaurant with people of color . My sister and mom were extremely upset with not being able to sit where they requested , and being discriminated against and sat in the back with people of color . Not only did they get discriminated against their food was brought to them cold and the salad was salty . They decided to get up and leave and not speak to the manager as they were being treated very rude. My sister came home very upset and in tears . I asked them to tell me the details and that I would follow up . I found it to be very unprofessional on the staff to treat my sister and mother in this way . I reached out to the manager by the name of Amanda who did tell me she would escalate this to the general manager and to write my review. We are in 2025 and this should not be allowed . If there was a reason she couldn't sit in the location asked they should have explained the situation to them . I'm lost for words and told my family I would get to the bottom of this so no one else will have to experience what they experienced . Restaurants work on hospitality and I think in this situation that was thrown out the window . I would like for someone in higher chain of command to reach out and make this right . This place has been open for quite a while but we just tried it this week. It was just a solidly great restaurant. The servers were so nice. The salad was great.... Nice and fresh. My husband's steak was really cooked well with a nice flavor profile. The standout is my burger. Since I am allergic to some preservatives in bread, I asked to replace my hamburger bun with the delicious fresh made bread. They even prepared it for me instead of me setting it up. That burger was smacking good. It won the night. read more
