Many vegetarian options exist, and caloric contents are posted. Also, the background music is not intrusive.

Nostalgic to the days of Old Country Buffet (OCB) this place brought back memories. When you arrive you pay right away before entering the dining area to eat. $17.99 all day on the weekends for adults. Age 3 and under are free. There are a variety of options. Salad bar, taco stuff, soups, even steaks being grilled on an open grill in front of you. Overall the food was salty in my opinion. They even had pozole, which was salty but overall flavor was good. The typical mac and cheese that I was expecting at a buffet like this. I have always wondered what Golden Corral would be like now I know. The yeast rolls were good- those reminded me.of Texas Roadhouse rolls. If you are looking for quality food with a lot of variety you will find the variety but not so much the quality overall. There were some items that were decent. I suppose for the price it was okay. They even had an icee machine which was a total hit!

I enjoy the menu choices at Golden Corral. I will be going for another visit. It is close to my area.

It's in a great location right off the highway by the Public Market. I was greeted immediately by the bartender and a server very quickly came to seat me and supplied me with menus and water while I waited for my friend. He came back immediately when she got there to greet us and see if we needed anything right away. We ordered margaritas and a few appetizers. Shortly after, we ordered dinners. We had biscuits and fried green tomatoes, and we each ordered a different type of spicy chicken sandwich. We both really liked our food. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was really good and the biscuits were soo good!! The fried green tomatoes were just so-so, but I don't have much to compare it to. Our margaritas were very tasty. The server was fantastic. He was very friendly and attentive, but not over the top. He asked if we wanted more drinks or dessert. We did get another round of drinks. And he refilled our waters, which I appreciated. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to friends and will be returning! Thanks for a great experience!

Needless to say, it was crowded and lively, but our table was waiting for us and we were sat immediately. Our server was friendly, attentive, and very helpful with our menu choices, which were limited due to their Madi Gras-only offerings, but also plentiful and varied. My husband decided on the jambalaya, I went with the crawfish étouffée, and we split the roasted Cajun cauliflower as an appetizer. While it's hard for this kind of stew-like, saucy, veggie/sausage/seafood over rice mixtures to present beautifully, everything looked, smelled, and tasted delicious. The jambalaya had a little more of a kick than I prefer, but my husband loved it and my crawfish étouffée had the perfect amount of spice without being spicy. The roasted cauliflower was cooked to perfection and was the perfect way to start the meal. Not pictured is the bananas foster bread pudding that was the perfect way to end it. We both left with extra food to take home and the memory of a wonderful meal and great experience.

Our server was great and the manager came by while we were eating to ask how things were and see if we needed anything. Only thing with server was I did ask 3 times for more water, would have been nice if he just saw and refilled. We started with the hush puppies and meatballs. The hush puppies came with a really interesting sauce. The cheese, flavor and texture were great. The chicken meatballs were good also had a nice sauce. I got the 4pc Pressure Fried Chicken sub collard greens for Mac n cheese to share. They nicely split the meal on two separate plates for us. The fried chicken was really good with a delicious crispy breading. The biscuit and Mac n cheese were alright. The Mac n cheese was nothing special at all. The mashed potatoes and gravy were good, potato skins mixed in. Enjoyed the food and variety of options!

You go down a cafeteria serving line telling the servers in the other side if the glass what you want. The waiting line was short in length (maybe 5 people) but moved very slowly. In fact it didn't move at all for about 10 minutes. Not sure why. Finally, I was able to ask for a meat and three for $14.49. I chose baked chicken, mac n cheese, green beans and black eye peas. The meal came with a cornbread muffin. Their soft drinks here are canned and with one and tax my bill was $17 and change. The prices here are reasonable. While the vegetables were hot and good tasting the chicken was barely warm. It was a victim of the dreaded non heated serving pan it was in and being kept out on the line too long. That deserves no more than a 3 score from me. The interior was also a little chaotic with a man selling colognes and perfumes inside! I don't believe he was affiliated with Daddy's.....

I like a boil where you can taste all the spices and ingredients. This boil had a sweet taste to it which I've never had anywhere, and I did not appreciate it. There's graffiti on the walls and staff members are dressed extremely casually but the food does not lie. Our server was very attentive the whole night and they had a fire playlist that consisted of a lot of drake and partynextdoor. We started off by ordering the fried calamari and the Asiago garlic wings and omg it was so unbelievably good. The fry was light and crispy and the wings were absolutely delicious. Both were around $11 each. In our seafood boil we both got a half pound of snow crabs and shrimp and some fillers like corn and potatoes. I got around 1 lb altogether and my bf got around 1 1/2 lb and we were both stuffed by the end of the night. Sadly they were out of crawfish but I am excited for crawfish season. Total bill ended up around $160 with tip which is pricey and next time we would order just the wings and cut down on the sausage potatoes and other add ons. Highly recommend this place and will be coming back once I get my money up.

When we arrived, there was no one else waiting and I'd guess that only 75% of the tables had customers. Couldn't have been more wrong in our decision as we waited for over an hour post ordering before we actually received our meal. This is the longest we have waited for breakfast... EVER. Anyone with kids knows having kids sit still and wait with minimal sources of entertainment is hard enough, then add hunger to the equation and it's a recipe for disaster. What could have made our experience better? 1 - Be transparent about your delays upfront -- Empower your diners to make a decision around whether they'd want to wait or not given how busy you are. Don't continue to seat customers when your kitchen is severely behind and hope diners don't notice. 2 - A small gesture goes a long way -- It would have been nice for SC to offer a couple of biscuits given the excessive wait. 3 - Don't add insult to injury... by bringing butter and ketchup 30+ minutes before the meal arrives. It added to the frustration that even my 7yo remarked "what are we going to do with butter, we have no food". They offered more water even when all our water cups were clearly full. Don't really understand how more water would make us less hungry? Looking at another recent 1-star review, I can see the same pattern as our experience. This restaurant clearly doesn't fail gracefully on busy days... and they don't seem to care either. At the conclusion of our meal, we didn't even get the typical "how was your meal" question from anyone. I guess they already knew.
