My girlfriends grandma was in town from north texas so naturally we had to bring her to a respectable spot near where she is staying. This is a sit down place but they offer carry out too. There is a ton of seating from tables to booths. The center dining area features a pretty large fish tank and other cool things that are very cool to see. They even feature a full bar on the left end of the restaurant! We walked in and were greeted right away and lead to our table for our group of 7 people! Our server was very quick to our booth and took drink orders right away as well. I grabbed a water as well as everyone else and my girlfriend and her twin sister grabbed some margaritas! The waters came quick and the margaritas were not far behind. The margaritas were served with a shot of some sort and the margaritas themselves were frozen which we all thought was kind of cool. They both did note that the drinks were tasty and rather potent which i would say is a great thing haha. We then grabbed an order of cheese curds that everyone shared. they were rather tasty and had a nice sauce served with them as well! Mind you none of these wait times have been super long at all which was awesome. After that we ordered all of our food and probably waited around 15 minutes for all 7 of our orders to come out, pretty speedy if you ask me. I got the buffalo chicken wrapper and a side of coleslaw. My girlfriend grabbed a fillet and a baked potato with bacon! This is what we usually get when we come here so of course we knew it would be good which it was! The coleslaw is great by the way if you're a fan of that niche community of people that enjoy coleslaw! The only thing that was subpar was my girlfriend's steak came definitely on the medium rare side and she had wanted it medium well. I am mentioning this because our server was quick to come check on us and she mentioned it to him and he was very understanding and brought it back to the kitchen to be fixed and it came back probably 5 minutes later looking much more to her liking. Very professional and polite by them and that is huge in my book! I believe we paid right around $55 before tip which is very reasonable to me at a sit down joint. I consider anything below $50 for 2 people going out and sitting down to eat to be cheap so $55 for great food/ drinks and service is nothing i would ever complain about. Cheddars in pleasant prairie has always been a total knockout spot for us for a long time! We always leave full and extremely happy and satisfied. We have never had a bad experience here! Only thing worth noting is on the weekends and friday i would plan accordingly or call ahead because they do tend to be pretty busy during those times ! One of my favorite places to eat! Upon approaching the building there are one set of doors with seating and the another set of door and a hostess area with additional seating. There is a fish tank on the wall to the left as you go down the walkway to the washroom. In the seating area/room to the left there is a bar. We all ordered ice water except one ordered Dr Pepper. My water came out with a dirty cup in which Serena quickly switched out for me. Even as I asked our server Serena what she recommend we did choose our favorites. Serena was very knowledgeable and provided many great options. One of which was the salmon which she also advised is a great seller. We started with the complimentary house Honey Butter crossaints. We then ordered a second order of crossaints and our choice appetizer was the chips and queso. We all ordered the double country fried chicken, two had double mashed and one had mashed and fries and ice water. We also asked for extra gravy. The last one chose the chicken tenders with fries and loaded mashed potatoes and a Dr. Pepper. One of the meals came out with double mashed potatoes instead of the mashed potatoes and fries. They quickly provided the fries that were ordered to be sure the order was correct. The restaurant is dimmer lit and inviting. Not too dim. The menu is clear and easy to read (and clean). This location is capable of handling large groups. As I was not feeling my best I did not this time, but I generally order the Cheddars Painkiller which is soo tasty in fact so good that there is a limit of 2. If you're looking for a good meal with a large portion at a fair value Cheddars is a perfect option. read more

The waiter said they had a large group and that was the reason for the delay.When it came to the table it was lukewarm. After much deliberation, I landed on Cheddars. I was tired after riding around all day and I think I made a good decision. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. I decided on the appetizer Trio Platter. I enjoyed it. It was good. The chicken and the breading on it was great. I like the spinach dip and the cheese dip. Plenty of chips to go with it. Cheddar's food is great, but their service is usually terrible. For those DF/GF I don't know if there is truly much on the menu to eat, but I'll mention things I've tried. The sirloin is reliable and good, paired with mashed potatoes and broccoli is my favorite way to order it. It's fairly cheap to add on grilled shrimp as well. Husband loves their chicken wrappers. It's always a big portion and doesn't miss. What we've ran into the last few times we've gone is just incredibly slow service, 1 refill over an hour of time while our drinks sat empty, and even after receiving and incorrect order and turning the flashing light on for a server, no one came. It's unfortunate because their food is pretty good, but I'm sick of wasting time and money for such poor service. Instead of leaving stuffed and happy, we leave frustrated that we tried them again. read more

This restaurant is a classic for us. We came here after the Bristol Renaissance Faire. We had a small group, but they did great to serve us. When I got my order, which was supposed to be a combo deal, I was given the basic meal instead. The server fixed this by offering the basic meal plus the combo deal, but only charged us once. Whether it's the $10-12 steaks, $10 fish dinners, or $5 cocktails, one thing kept popping into my mind as I browsed the menu: "Wow, this is affordable!". I was a little concerned how the food would actually turn out with prices like those, but it was great. My steak was nicely cooked - decently rare, not overly well done like I'd feared would be the case - and the sides were quite delicious. My Texas Sweet Tea cocktail came in a massive glass that was more like a goblet. I'll return if I'm ever in the Kenosha area and understand why there's always a wait to get a table, but am...still really curious how it's as cheap as it is. Either way, it's great! read more

Service was great, friendly and helpful. We had the spinach dip appetizer. It came out very hot with delicate, salty chips. Tony got the ribs. They were falling-off-the-bone and his sides, corn and broccoli, were cooked perfectly and not mushy. I got the shrimp Alfredo. It was delicious and filling. I could have used more sauce, though.
