Went to this Golden Corral while out visiting some people. I will say that the food that I had was hot, and on the fresh side. Some of it was really tasty, while some was not. But that is the same of every place I would say. One thing that I did not like was the fact that they only had vinegar bottles only near the salad buffet. I wish they had them on the tables or at stations around the restaurant like other establishments. The service was good, and the server did check on us often, and remove soiled plates as needed. We sampled the chicken, pizza, taco meat, salad, deviled eggs And of course Ice-cream, cake, pies, pudding The fried chicken was Well-seasoned and tender, the chicken was very good making it a standout among the buffet options, The pizza was decent, with a nice flavor It wasn't gourmet, but it satisfied our pizza cravings. Pepperoni helps!!! I liked the deviled eggs they were fresh, the taco meat was another hit. The meat was well-cooked and seasoned, and the options for fresh toppings added a nice touch. I put some ON my pizza hey I'm not a purist and Golden Corral is not catering to purists anyhow! This Golden corral will be closing for a refresh, and there was some spackle on the walls in preparation of new paint but nothing that made our dining experience any less enjoyable it would've been four stars even if the walls were painted perfect. it's a buffet. It's golden corral. It really never will be a five star experience. We'll definitely be returning for another round of comfort food favorites when traveling. read more

The restaurant could use some refurbishment especially in the bathrooms. There is a constant smell of sewer gas. Carpets are worn and dirty as well. Service is pretty good because you help yourself to the buffet. The waitresses are great about refills and any other items you may need. The food is a hit or miss. First day I have felt good in a while and decided to go get a cup of soup at GC. The soups and chili all had the "dried-scum" on top. Heaters on the "hot table" appear to only be about 1/2 operable. The entire food area was un-kept. Food spilled EVERYWHERE on the bars -which happens -but this hasn't been cleaned today. Floors and tables seemed clean. There was no bread. No fish -except salmon. 1 piece of overcooked fried chicken which had obviously been left there on purpose. Seasoned Collards we're NOT seasoned. "Chef" at carving station singing loudly -"Daylight come and me want to come home" over and over. I have yet to be spoken to by a server. The toxic culture in this place is real. We love golden corral when we travel. My husband's favorite food is MORE. So we have been to a bunch of these all over the country. A lot of them have been closed because of Covid, but this one happens to be open and we were pretty excited to see it open as we were traveling through town. I was a little concerned about the Covid situation with a buffet, but we decided that if we didn't like the way it looked inside, we would leave. Looks like they took all the precautions they could. More than every other table is blocked out, so you are not really sitting next to anybody. Happy with that. All staff members have masks on and the staff is exceedingly friendly and attentive. Happy with that. You no longer serve your own food, a server with a mask and gloves on serves you. Very happy with that. It should always be that way. There are arrows on the floor now as you go through the buffet and stickers on the floor indicating where you stand 6 feet away from the other person. Happy with that. Food quality met or exceeded our expectations. Very happy with that. Got a great meal. Now here's where I am unhappy with this place. The mask policy is that you can sit at a table without a mask on to eat, but when you get up, especially to go to the buffet, you must have a mask on. I witnessed entire families, lots of people, going through the buffet with no mask on. People walking through the restaurant holding food with no mask on. It kind of freaked me out and I wanted to get out of there immediately. Golden corral, you've got to do better. Your food is out there for everybody to breathe on. This is not the time to let your lower your sanitary standards. You've got to enforce the mask policy. Servers had to see people without their mask on as they were going through the line. Somebody needs to enforce this, the server could just say, please put your mask on and then I can serve you. What is going on? It's never going to feel safe buffet unless all the rules are followed. Great choice for eating Atkins, Keto, or whatever your catch phrase is for eating low-carb. The choices here are phenomenally abundant. They have all of the grilled/baked/rotisserie'd meats you can think of along with a HUGE selection of sautéed/steamed/grilled veggies. And then there's the salad bar. I just heartily devoured a steak grilled to order (medium-rare of course) with a huge helping of sautéed mushrooms (yum) and two deviled eggs. Then I went back for a rotisserie chicken breast and filled the rest of my plate with steamed broccoli & cauliflower, grilled zucchini, green beans, and some more of those (yum) sautéed mushrooms. I walked away very satisfied. I didn't have any more room but there was also pulled pork, carved turkey, carved ham, prime rib, pork steaks, collard greens, turnip greens, and buttered Brussel sprouts. All of these foods are low-carb friendly, tasty, and very satisfying. I travel for work, which makes eating well a challenge. GC made staying on my low-carb diet very easy, cost efficient, and satisfying. I'll be looking for these wherever my travels take me. read more

Just like any typical Golden Corral but it seems like choices were limited at this location. The waitress was nice and the sweet tea was nice and sweet. Seems kind of expensive being that i spent $42 for 1 adult 1 senior and 1 child. Especially due to the lack of choices. The rolls were good they were stocked on honey butter. At the outset let me acknowledge that I know this is an economical family buffet. With that said, this place is awesome. The food is good and plentiful. Steaks, pizza, seafood, salad, vegetables, and desserts are all readily available. The staff is awesome. They are nice and willing to accommodate. The managers Ken and Crystal are the best. They are always friendly and pride themselves in providing good quality food at a reasonable price. The new addition to the management staff, Cleveland, seems ready to become a great team member. Well, to be fair they really do have quite a selection. That being said....I wish the temperature was set higher on the bar. I'm sure I'm not the only one wanting hot food. I'm not sure how many tables each server is assigned to but it's too many. While they are all friendly, it's hard to locate one. This could be a wonderful place to eat at if only the staff and cooks would smile more often. They look so depressed behind the counter when you go get the food. I don't know why. And another problem is people with children running around and nearly knocked the tray out of my hand when I was getting the buffet. So it's not really a peaceful place to eat at. This is the worst Golden Corral I've ever been to. This one is about half the size of most I've been to. Went around 7 pm and several tables were dirty and several more still had used buffet dishes piled on them. I started with the salad bar. The vegetable selection was minimal and the lettuce was turning brown on the edges. A few of the dressing buckets were empty. The shredded cheese was conveniently located between the salad and taco bars, however, the taco bar was so hot the cheese on the top had melted. At the meat station bins appeared to be full, and more meat was left on the grill (hambuger sliders turning into charcoal briquettes) with noone watching it. Which also meant noone attending the carving station which was in the same spot. After a lack luster entree I moved to dessert. This is the first time I've seen their new fondue fountains. It was nice to see a marshmallow and caramel option in addition to the chocolate. After watching several unattended kids lose multiple strawberries in the chocolate one and stick their fingers in it I opted for the others I got a marshmallow with the caramel fondue and a rice crispy treat with the marshmallow fondue. The fondue is cold, reason for no kids getting burnt fingers, and the items were stale. Stay away. read more
