So it is Golden Corral, not a whole lot to expect - $12.19/person for all you can eat breakfast buffet. Walked in, paid for our buffet (as you cannot get in before you pay), pick a table, and a lady came over and asked to see my receipt. Seemed odd, as this has never happened in the dozens of times I have been here before, but I obliged. What really irritated me is that there were 4 groups of folks who came in after us, sat right near us, but their receipts were not asked for or verified for purchase. Not quite sure why I seemed to be singled out....... I get and can appreciate checking to see that everyone has paid, but only doing this with select individuals seems rather lame. Well... this place literally almost killed me. They did not label the food. I got some French toast. Took a big bite. It was banana nut bread. Buffets, I've found nothing like this in the UK in the year that I've been there. Certainly not for breakfast. Golden Corral has a big spread of breakfast foods, starting at 7:30 AM on the weekends. French toast, pancakes, corned beef hash, country fried steak, pork chops, cereal, fresh cinnamon rolls, bacon and sausages, anything you can possibly imagine for breakfast. They even have an omelet station with onions, spinach, bacon, ham, peppers, and more. Or they'll make freshly fried eggs for you. My coffee cup was refilled often and the dirty plates were taken away quickly. Bonus: free wifi. I didn't see any power outlets, but I didn't look very hard. A fantastic deal for $9.25. read more

ewww ... This place is a disgusting mess... the whole place needs a good scrub down - the filth is growing! They make NO ATTEMPT to keep children out of the food - most recently I personally asked 2 different parents to keep their childrens' hands out of the food. People just stand and watch their children reach into the food pans and pull out food, put it in their nasty mouths and stick their hands in again. The bathroom is disgusting - and needs a thorough sanitizing - there are fur bunnies on all flat surfaces and mold growing in the corners. The floors and counters are filthy. The food is very poor - they don't even bother to stir foods, so they develop a thick dry crust on top. Then, when they bring out fresh food they dump it on top of the old so food at the bottom is old food that has dried out and turned to mush. Their breading is so thick you can't find the shrimp / onion rings / or whatever they've deep fat fried in the wrong temp oil so it is just swimming in fat. Do NOTHING waste your money!! read more

Great food like always and they are taking really good precautions. You can now go up and fill your plate after they bring you some plates. You must wear your mask every time you get up and take a clean plate and there are blue plastic gloves everywhere you must grab a pair of gloves every time you go to the food bar you grab another pair. So gloves and mask to get the food so it is pretty safe. Everything was delicious just as I remember before the virus hit. Really hard to beat a steak dinner and so much more for the price. So glad to be back and thankful for the precautions they are taking. read more

The waitress and her trainee were great and attentive, the highlight of this dining experience. The food was so so, for example the gravy had the layer of "skin" as did the pies. We went in here expecting a regular priced buffet. NO. 34.99 is not a regular buffet price. They charge 2.38 for one drink, 13.99 for one person, 12.99 for senior citizen. The cashier told me that the food was actually good and that the steak was the best. There was no steak and my mother being a senior citizen; look a dollar off is not a discount. Lets continue with the food, shall we? Fried -salty-chicken, the potatoes were so creamy, they looked like grits. Not a bad taste, but the gravy would have made it a soup. The dirty rice was too much celery salt. Actually everything was salted so much so that you couldn't taste the other seasonings. The brisket was overly peppered and dry. The fish tasted of the sea and the macaroni was soupy without seasoning. You could swim in their gravy chicken and the bbq chicken was like chewing a shoe. Brownies stick to your mouth like peanut butter, so offer some milk maybe. Bottom line, for all that money we did not have a good experience. read more

We seem to get a really friendly waiter every time we are there and every and everybody gets to eat what they want. We leave with our bellies full. The service is absolutely horrible. The service is attentive, but horrible. Having spoken with a manager, I am completely convinced the lack of friendly service is a result of extremely poor management. We went here at 7:30pm (Prime dinner time) and had to request several of the items be re-made after the pans stayed empty for 15-20 minutes. Upon requesting the manager, and being very polite, to ask when the select items were going to be available - He said "Well it's not like your not getting your money's worth - we have many selections available that you may find adequate. You act like the buffet is completely empty because we have 3 items that are currently not done cooking." Now having eaten at the GC in Fayetteville on several occasions, and the level of friendly service I receive there, I was absolutely taken back. When I told him that regardless of the buffet's selection, if I'm paying my money to eat at his location - I should have the same options of the other people that paid that same money. At which point he said "What would you like me to do? I'm not the cook, and I can't make the dishes ready with a crystal ball". (I wasn't even asking for a discount, just an ETA on Entrees - as they were obviously not being monitored). As for the food.. The gravy at this location was very watery and the only flavor was salt. The fried chicken had no moister left to it, and the macaroni was extremely overcooked and the cheese had no flavor. There was no quality control over the chocolate fountains either. Kids were running up unattended, and the employees watched as one went digging in the fountain for a lost skewer of marshmallows. Had the service been better, and the manager knew how to manage, I'd have ranked this place a 3/5 star. The food wasn't great but the price was reasonable for the selection - and the salad and desert options (including the Sugar Free deserts) were decent for a buffet... however I have no plans to EVER return to this location after the way I was treated. read more

The food here is consistantly decent. Sometimes even very good. You need to season to taste. If price is a concern and you are a senior citizen go at 1p to 4p for the early bird special, under $7 a person and includes drink. Most all wait staff is friendly and helpful. Salad bar is constantly refreshed as should be in a salad bar place. The rest of the food is for the most part decent and hot or cold as needed. Love the cheese biscuits and jalapeno cornbread and yeast rolls. Fried chicken is usually fresh and hot. The new smoke house items are a plus. Pulled pork, while not competition level, is very good and succulent. Good enough you don't need sauce. Wish other bbq places, which brag about their bbq, would take note. Ribs when they have them are same as pulled pork. Sometimes it is all I eat. Sliders are pretty good. Steak while flavorful should be of a better cut. My step dad and mom both can't chew gristly meat. They have dentures. I even have a hard time chewing the steak at times. On occasion I have thrown over half of a portion away because it was almost all gristle. There bakery while being nice to look at doesn't taste up to the looks. Will satisfy a sweet tooth though. Hope this helps. Like I said decent food, which can be very good at times, for a reasonable price.
