    Fresh Fruits and salad bar

Being from Florida, we have been to our share of Golden Corrals. This location in Winder was easy to get to, had plenty of parking and was bright and airy. We went for lunch and the selections were fresh and plentiful starting with salads and soup, entrees and of course the dessert bar. I didn't see chocolate silk pie out and asked one of the servers and they quickly brought it out to me. All the servers were accommodating, friendly and quickly bussed tables as well as refilled drinks. The only feedback I would give is their handicap parking does not offer curb entrance. You have to enter the building by walking in the parking lot up the slanted sidewalk which does not offer railings and for someone who has mobility issues like my husband , the ramp is a little steep If you like Golden Corral, you will love this location

The Golden Corral Buffet & Grill in Winder is one of the few that is open for dining. My husband prefers eating here when we dine out. He is impatient and wants his food lol. This is not as big as other location but their service is top notch every time we've gone. Out of all the Golden Corral's I've been to, this one has hot in temperature food. I was surprised. Sometimes when I get baked potatoes and it's cold or just lukewarm. Not here. It is still piping hot and I see the flames! I also see them make "fresh" pizza too. The salad section always have fresh lettuce and I'm happy. Sometimes when I go to other locations, I see browning on the lettuce. 36/2021

The food was okay, typical American breakfast. The restaurant is very clean and neat. Our waitress is super friendly. Covid friendly and don't have to wear mask when going to get food.

Bad drink they don't give me what I asked for.

Food tastes ok but felt very bloated and just gross afterwards. But I think you know what you are signing up for when you head here.

We sat down to a "Cajun night" menu to which I inquired if that's like a weekly thing or what and was explained that they will occasionally do various themes and recently had done Italian. They had Cajun music playing and a full Cajun menu, it felt like we were in Louisiana which I am very familiar with, I have roots there. I think having themed nights is a very clever way to bring a variety of fine dining options to a small town that doesn't have a lot of restaurant options. Fully support! Love the concept! Having had frog legs before I didn't feel the need to explore again so didn't choose those. I instead opted for some more cozy comforts such as the Crawfish étouffée and Duck Andouille Gumbo. Both were delicious, my only gripe would be the presentation was quite lacking. Traditionally, for either of those dishes, the rice is served from a cup as a topper, not the gumbo or étouffée spooned atop the rice. But the flavor hit it out of the park. Hubby ordered the Blackened Redfish and this is where the chef's talents shine. This was the winning dish of the evening. Hubby hates okra, I love it, and I'd never had it grilled before though and I'll be using that cooking technique in the future, especially since hubby actually likes okra finally. But I don't want to focus on okra for a fish dish. The blackened redfish was so well seasoned and perfectly flaky, the pinto beans had great flavor as well. We finished our meal out with the beignets and coffees (hubby espresso and me a latte) which paired perfectly with the beignets. We ate them politely with the fork and knife provided though if you ain't covered in powdered sugar or accidentally proofing powdered sugar across the table when you take a bite are you even doing it right? ;) but they were delicious, everything was. Again the only suggestion I have is to consider presentation. The dishes looked a bit bland for the amount of flavor they packed. A slice of that grilled okra on top of my Gumbo or just anything simple would've gone a long way. Overall I'll give 5 stars. I have no complaints. The restaurant's vibe and decor are great, service was great, food was delicious. We had a great night!

We enjoyed the Pearberry which was light and delicious, as well as the Japanese Old Fashioned which my partner thoroughly enjoyed. Although the price for bacon seemed hefty, it's almost a slab instead of slice of bacon. It's a solid portion and very thick and deliciously coated in a sticky sweet sauce that we enjoyed. We were having a great time and were in great spirits but it took a turn once we were seated for the dining portion of the experience.. I think our experience came from the person manning the meats, who in our opinion doesn't know proper temp checks. We ordered multiple filets, ribeyes, and a tomahawk at our table of 5 and every single one was under. We asked for medium and medium rare throughout our table, but they all arrived severely underdone. The tomahawk was the biggest disappointment, when you pay a hefty price, you expect better results.. but it was raw, because rare doesn't even really describe it. We are not the type to make a fuss, so we just ate our steaks and asked for sauce to make them palatable. The flavor was there but it was very subtle, it could used a bit more seasoning. We relied heavily on the sides and our prior experience at the bar to keep spirits up. The reason this review isn't worse is because regardless of our dining experience, our bar experience was superior and I'd go back strictly for that. I would try it again to see if the cook has gotten better but not for a while.

Though hearing good things is pretty much all the good we got from this place. We ordered online for pick up. Spent over $80 for some pretty mediocre and dry food.. nothing really seem fresh but the fried rice which was reallyyy lacking. Chicken tenders and wings seem like they were cooked ahead and sauced upon ordering. Philly actually had a good amount of protein, but seem like it was preheated and again, so dry. We gave the meat to our dog because I hate wasting food. Even though I hate wasting food, we did end up throwing away the chicken sandwiches because no one wanted to finish them and my dog is actually allergic to poultry. LOL. Not to forget to mention that we ordered their "wet" lemon pepper and they were definitely not wet. We've actually had some really good wet lemon pepper before so I'm not sure what their take on it was supposed to be. "WeT bUt NoT rEaLlY.." ? Also when we picked up our order the vibe we got was not very welcoming. It wasn't busy since it was a weekday and in between lunch and dinner. The staff made it obvious they did not want to be there and it definitely showed in their food. Hate that we wasted time and money on pretty but not good food. Would have been a lot happier with Zaxbys..
