    Shrimp Egg Foo Young
    Gracie W.

Loved the shrimp egg foo young, tender shrimp in a giant egg omelette filled with fresh and crunchy bean sprouts and onions, served with a rich and flavorful brown gravy poured on top of it. Service is also very nice and all the food is made very fresh, quick, and was super hot. The prices of everything here are always very good and is a great for take out.

Our favorite Chinese food restaurant. The orange chicken is crispy and spicy. The portions are huge. The seat and sour chicken is also crispy and the sauce is very good. The octopus sushi was very tender and the wasabi is very hot! The steak on a stick is tender but a bit chewy. It has a sweet teriyaki flavor. The crab Rangoon is very good and crispy on the outside and creamy in the inside. It is a casual place to dine with your friends and family. There is a full bar and the drinks are strong! There is also a sushi bar with a huge menu. There are a lot of choices on the menu and they have family meal options as well. Prices are average and worth it especially given the portions and quality of the food.

The entire time we were there, my sons and I just kept saying "I can't believe how good this place is!" From the outside, it doesn't look that remarkable, but we have lived in the area a while and noticed a new sign: "Sushi bar now open". We decided to eat there on a whim, and based on the standardized "Chinese food place" look when we pulled up, I honestly didn't expect much. However, inside the atmosphere was warm and cozy. We were very comfortable. There was a bar area, a large dining area, and a small sushi bar in the back where we decided to sit. We were immediately given water and place settings, and the Sushi Chef prepared us a special salad to try - on the house. I think they were trying out a new dish, and it was incredible! I wish I had thought to ask what it was, but we were starving and ordered quickly instead of asking many questions. We came in before the dinner crowd, so soups and appetizers appeared almost immediately, and dinner followed quickly after. While I can definitely say that this is no "fancy sushi joint", the food we received was comparable to much nicer places we've been to in the downtown / trendy areas of the city. (And the prices were much lower!) The food looked and tasted amazing, and this was definitely surprising considering how plain the restaurant looks from the outside. The staff was very kind and considerate, and we are very glad we decided to try it out. I highly recommend this place if you enjoy great sushi, but don't want / have time to go through all of the paces of getting ready for a night in the town... or spend for one. This is a real hidden gem, and as soon as we left my sons were already planning on what they would try the next time we came - which will be soon!

Big, bright and clean. We came in at 3:30 and were given the choice of lunch or dinner menu. Many dishes to choose from. Lots of small plates or apps, like pot stickers, egg rolls, spare ribs, crab Rangoon, wings, spring rolls, etc. We received a complimentary basket of fried shrimp chips or toast. I ordered the egg drop soup. It was a cereal bowl size of delicious soup with lots of eggs. The entrees were hardy. The menu for sushi is large. We ordered the spider roll and another. Both were very good, but the pieces were huge. I cut mine in order to eat them. My son tried to stuff his in his mouth, but the sushi fell apart. I hope this size sushi isn't the norm because doesn't eat well. Also, drinks are available as there is a full size bar. Service was very good.

The spider is basically right in the center. It's on the right mound of rice

Orders delivery and recieved an extra eight legged guest on top of my rice. If this is how careless they are with rice I wouldn't trust them with meats and seafood. That level of carelessness is what lands people in the hospital.

Poké Cleveland is a Hawaiian cuisine chain with just one location in Highland Heights. I tried their food for weekend lunch. It was a fun new-to-me place to try! FOOD: Poké Cleveland offers create your own bowl (think Chipotle line style) if you're in the mood to create. An alternative is a signature bowl with pre-determined ingredients and some customization. They're also well known for their bubble teas! I ordered one of the signature bowls House Ahi Bowl ($18). Each bowl can be customized as spicy and non-spicy, which is a huge plus. I always actively avoid spicy foods during dining, this selection made it very easy. The bowl included cucumber, edamame, green onion, and seaweed salad. I added premium toppings including avocado ($1.75) and masago (fish eggs) ($1.75). The fish tasted very fresh. The toppings were generously portioned. AMBIANCE: True to its promise of "fast Hawaiian cuisine," the service was expeditious and reasonably friendly. The cafe is pretty simple with metal tables, a lot of room to fit everyone in your party, and ample natural light. It fills with the sunlight and radiance on sunny days. VALUE: Specials are posted in the cafe and available on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. There are a few specials on purchased pairs of bubble teas or bowls. Come as a pair or treat yourself! Poké Cleveland was a solid choice for one time lunch. Fresh, quick, and filling. I did not see any unique or unusual exciting menu items that would keep me coming back.

The General Tso chicken was a letdown across the board. No heat, barely any sauce, and the lightly steam broccoli came out cold and wet, which made my crispy chicken a soggy lukewarm mess. That's a fundamental execution issue. A friend ordered the ramen and had it worse -- crunchy noodles and a cold soup base. Cold ramen broth isn't a style choice, it's a mistake. Front of house compounded the experience. Slow, visibly uncertain, and in clear need of training. You can tell the staff wants to do well but hasn't been given the tools to get there. That's a management problem. The bones of a decent restaurant are here. Right now the food and service aren't meeting the standard the presentation promises that a mid price Asian pacific restaurant needs to hit.

I told him I would arrive within 40 mins and he said to just walk-in. The website says this is fine dining so for someone to answer the phone and discourage reservations was skeptical. When we arrived we were told since we didn't have reservations we had to sit outdoors. Now the forecast said rain in 10mins. So we told the lady at the desk that I spoke to the man that also at the door about reservations. She said no problem we waited about 10 minutes and we were seated. Our waitress Abby was amazing! I wanted a wellness drink and they were all out but she suggested other mocktail options. She then asked if we wanted tap water or sparkling bottle water. I was confused that they don't have filtered water. We got the tap and it smelled like sewer. We then asked for a bottle of sparkling water. And realized the glass cups smelled bad. If you want a wellness drink arrive early when they open around 11am. It was 1pm when I ordered my food. I ordered the Farmer's breakfast, it came with Two eggs any style, choice of crispy bacon or chicken sausage, grilled sourdough, potatoes. The potatoes were crumbs and left overs, a scoop of potatoes. For a $19 meal I couldn't believe what I was being served. The chicken sausage was amazing! The sourdough bread was grilled with no oil or butter. I asked for jelly thinking they would have compote. Instead they have mini jars of jelly. The main difference is that jam is a shelf-stable, fruit-puree preserve made with high amounts of sugar and added pectin. Compote is a chunkier, less sugary fruit sauce cooked quickly without pectin and meant to be eaten fresh. My husband had the Last Chicken Sandwich, which he said was good but the sandwich didn't come with a side just a $18 chicken sandwich that tasted wonderful.

Since we were hungry, we followed another yelper's advice of getting an appetizer since we were warned the mains can take 30-40 minutes. Ordered the cracklin wings--got the ghost pepper dry rub which was recommended by the staff who also reassured me that it wasn't too spicy given that it was also sweet and came with ranch. Tasted great, super crispy on the outside, chicken not the most juicy but still tender. 4/5. Also ordered the truffle orcchiette, pork chop, and heirloom carrots. The truffle orcchiette had a great al dente texture but surprisingly compared to the other yelper reviews, was saltier than expected. 4/5 Favorites were definitely the pork chop and heirloom carrots. The pork chop came without the bone, already chopped up, and was the he most tender pork chop I've had. 5/5 The carrots were so well seasoned, with a great charred taste and came with an addicting puree. 5/5 Service was fantastic, with great recommendations. While the birthday guest was away from the table, I did sneakily ask if they do anything for birthdays, and the staff said that they do a scoop of ice cream. Since the sticky toffee pudding already came with a scoop of ice cream, they were considerate to do 2 cookies instead--the cookies weren't too sweet and reminded me of brownie batter. Sticky toffee pudding was good. 4/5 Restaurant is located in Pinecrest so parking available as free parking in a garage about a block away or as pay by mobile street parking. Ambience is great, perfect for a nice meal for a date or hangout. Overall a great place to celebrate a special occasion due to all the good food choices and staff who know how to treat birthday guests well.

Per our request, our party of six was seated on the outdoor patio overlooking the Chagrin River waterfall, which made for a beautiful setting. One thing to note: you cannot reserve patio seating in advance, but you can request it upon arrival if space is available. We started with four appetizers: *Heavenly Biscuits - AMAZING. *Short Rib Potstickers - Excellent. *Spinach Artichoke Dip - Excellent. *Grilled Artichoke - Good, but not really my style of dish. For entrées, we tried several different items: *Grilled Fish of the Day (Grouper) - Excellent, although the portion was on the smaller side. *Lake Erie Walleye Fish & Chips - Very good. *Thai Steak Noodle Salad - Excellent. *Steak and Frites - Excellent. We also ordered two sides: *Coleslaw - Very good. Is it the best coleslaw I've ever had? No. Is it excellent and worth ordering? Absolutely. *Roasted Baby Yukons - Excellent. Since we were celebrating a birthday, the restaurant graciously provided a complimentary dessert sundae. While the gesture was appreciated, I do wish guests were given a choice of dessert. The sundae was fine, but with several outstanding ice cream shops nearby, the ice cream itself was fairly average. Service was quick and efficient overall. There were a few minor areas for improvement: Wet naps would have been appreciated, as we had to request extra napkins multiple times throughout the meal. Service slowed down a bit during the dinner rush. The steak entrée arrived noticeably later than the rest of the main courses, which may have been due to the kitchen being overwhelmed. It also took a little longer than expected to receive extra plates when requested. These were relatively minor issues, however, and did not significantly detract from the evening. Overall, this was an excellent dining experience with great food, a beautiful patio overlooking the waterfall, and solid service. We would gladly return and would certainly recommend it for special occasions or a nice evening out.
