Searching around for a Chinese spot I haven't tried near work yet, I found this spot down the street. At first glance (unless you google) you would not know they sell Chinese food cause of the name (ok, perhaps the first two words might give it away). No website for online ordering, you could call and place a phone order but I opted just to go directly there. Their Chinese food is buffet style, but behind the counter for them to serve (not AYCE though). I chose the two item combo for 8.99 and got orange chicken and pepper chicken. Majority of my container was mostly rice though (choice of chow mein or fried rice - have to ask for steamed rice). I also ordered their cream cheese wontons (5 pcs for 2.75) which was a bargain. Total price was 12.94 incl tax which is a good deal (no drink incl). As for the taste of the food, it was mediocre, at best. The cream cheese wontons had this vinegary taste to them, which I have never tasted before. The two mains were ok, but lacked flavor. I did not get any soy sauce for my rice other than one packet of sriracha and one small container of sweet n sour sauce for the wontons. The combo also came with one egg roll and it was just ok. Cannot comment about their other lunch items (sandwiches) nor their donuts, but if I do patronize this establishment again I will not go for Chinese food. read more

I want to say thank you to the staff for opening up early in the morning to serve that deliciously donuts and Vietnamese coffee. Especially to the chef for making that super delicious Chow Fun and special fried rice. Unbelievable dish. The flavor is perfect to taste. Rich in sauce and texture. Let's dive right into the good stuff, but if my ways of describing things don't please you. Take a look at some of the pictures I've attached to this review. My orders are, Appetizer: 1. 1x Egg roll The egg roll is mixed with shredded cabbage chopped meat, or other fillings inside a thickly-wrapped wheat flour skin. Main: 1. Tuna Sandwhich Canned tuna, mayonnaise, celery, onion, relish, etc... any others upon request. This Tunalicious Sandwhich was super duper juicy deliciously. What incredible Sandwhich when combined with all the additives. The best Tuna Sandwhich, my opinion. It was so fresh and so good. What can you ask for during brunch. I definitely recommend this location due to their choices of custom-made orders. This place is clean and sanitized. Their parking lot is limited but have street parking. They also have coffee and drinks and are open early.  Nothing beats an all-nighter that is topped off with a togo order of orange chicken, orange glazed donuts and a large coffee. Icing on the cake is that the donuts are fresh and you won't  leave with an empty wallet.   The ladies working here are really nice. The parking lot is small but I have always found a spot. This is a good choice if you are in a rush and want a quick bite, donuts for dessert and not spend a lot.  A dozen donuts will cost you about 40 to 50% less than some of the other local donut spots.  Overall, reasonably priced, easy parking, fast and easy lunch and donuts. read more

As donut places go, this is pretty standard offerings, but wait, they serve croissant sandwiches too, which makes a world of difference. Did I mention they make chine food too? This place has breakfast and lunch covered for the working folks here in Long Beach/Carson. The food is excellent, and the two women running the show have their act together. If you have a big order, they even through in a dozen donut holes for good measure. I can't say it's the healthiest of breakfasts, but it sure is good as we slowly get ready for another days duty at work. read more

A standard looking Chinese fast food joint. They have donuts, fruit drinks, sandwiches, great for those working nearby to stop for lunch. Although it looks very simple, this place has a great variety of food and combinations, something for everybody. The tuna sandwich, however, stands out above all their menu. Another place I visit often because it is close to work. This is your standard Chinese fastfood. They have orange chicken, teriyaki beef, kung pao chicken, etc. All prepared waiting to be out into a white to go container. The dishes that I feel stand out are actually the mushroom chicken and green bean chicken. They give you a lot of fresh veggies and they won't make you feel sluggish. Another hidden gem on the menu is the freshly made house noodle soup, which I would compare to wonton soup with noodles. Also the need chow fun is pretty good. No complaints on the chinese section of the restaurant, I can't speak about the donuts as I've never tried them. $6.75 for chow mein/rice + 2 sides and a drink is unbeatable. read more

Bought donut holes 6/21/19 in the morning; a co-worker told me this morning that a tiny piece of glass was on the glaze of one donut hole; she gave me the piece of glass and yes i cut my finger feeling it. I called the donut shop (310 549-5918) this morning and they of course don't believe this; i called them back and left them a message. This is very dangerous especially for kids since the schools are around the corner. Dept of Food should know about this. First time I'd ever tried this restaurant and I had orange chicken and chow mein the combo a I was pleasantly surprised the orange chicken was very good usually I'm a Panda Express person but Panda Express is a hit and miss. Sometimes it's glazed nicely the orange chicken other times it's like it's been sitting forever and the glaze orange glaze has kind of absorbed into the chicken or whatever and it doesn't look that good and it doesn't taste as good as it does when it's really fresh and and tastes very orangey at this restaurant it was perfect the first night for dinner and perfect the next day for warm up leftovers the orange glaze was still on top of the chicken had not disintegrated I will be going back there again read more

My boyfriend took me to this place since he has gone here numerous times and had raved how good the won ton soup was. I can say that he was right. The soup was delicious. It had great flavor and I loved that they had chinese chili oil to add to my soup. Golden Express offers many options from Chinese food, smoothies, sandwiches and donuts. Came here to fulfill my random donut craving and I wasn't dissapointed. Their donuts are really nice and fluffy. Upon entering, the kind Cambodian ladies greeted me with friendly hello's and smiles. There's a $5 minimum for debit cards so be aware of that. I only came in for their donuts but I still had about 3 dollars left to spend to fulfill the $5 minimum..so I bought one of their smoothies with boba. Now I don't know many places in Carson that have boba that isn't Thai iced tea so it was a surprise to see a wide array of flavors. I chose the strawberry smoothie with boba and it took about three minutes to prepare. Overall it was good, I didn't like the consistency of the boba, however. It tasted like it had been a while since it was cooked. But I'm not complaining, they don't specialize in boba afterall. The location isn't all that great and the parking is limited but it's by my work so it's very convenient for me during lunchtime. My dad brought a box of donuts one day after walking around the area. (Whatever exercise he had soon eliminated by the box of donuts) Donuts are great! I know of some other places within a mile of this location that serve donuts that taste old and have gotten hard. It's one of those Mash-up joints that make you say hey why not serve Fried Chicken here as well? What you think Fried Chicken and donuts don't go together?
