Me and the crew are about ready to hit the road and head back north outta LA as our work here is finished. What better road food to have before we leave than In N Out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location in the Signal Hill area wasn't too crowded this time, well I mean it had lines still but wasn't totally out the door.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We went in to dine. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was nice and clean and looked just like all the rest of the In N Outs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I already know what my crew wants, so I do the ordering since I'm the one paying. For me I get my Double Double Animal style with extra grilled onions, order of fries and a drink. I guess they have that on the menu at a #1. The one other girl on the crew want her Double Double Protein style, meaning it's a lettuce wrap with no bun. But then she want fries animal style ... so much for cutting the carbs! The rest of the guys get what I have. The food is up in not too much time and I go up from our table and get it from the counter. It all looks yummy as hell like always. Every body grabs their food off the trays and munches in. This food should hold us for awhile till we get outta LA and over the Grapevine. WE might have to stop somewhere north up the 5. read more

Food is always good. Line is going all the way out to Atlantic lol . Burgers fill me up but in a good way. Fries are whatever. They are ok but less ok with ketchup. I do like the scripture on the bottom. Neapolitan milkshakes are the best. read more

The associates at In-N-Out are so friendly and very careful about getting your order right, no matter how busy it gets. This location in Signal Hill is the closest to our home, and we have been here before. So when we had an errand to run in the area, stopped by here for carry-out, even though there was dining space available. Service was great, the food this time wasn't the greatest. It was a rainy New Years Eve, so they were running their 'Kids get free Hot Cocoa' promo, and people were taking advantage. Even with such a very small published menu, there is definitely in-n-out terminology that will help the ordering process. But if you don't know it, the cashiers have always been kind in explaining/confirming. This time was no exception. The food does take a while to be ready, since each burger is only started once the order is made. The burgers were prepared nicely for carryout in a paper box to minimize squishing, and the fries were in a separate paper bag. I got a double-double animal style, replacing the grilled onions with whole grilled onions ($6.35). In terms of the taste, the novelty has definitely been replaced by appreciation for their consistency. That being said, it wasn't a great day for toppings today...it's still whole leaves (not shredded) but there wasn't as much of it, resulting it being past wilting and getting near slimy territory (though the other burgers seemed OK). Not great. Only their spread (a thousand island like sauce, for me, tasting similar to Big Mac sauce) is available on the main menu, though one can ask for ketchup or mustard (no mayo, though). We got 3 cheeseburgers as well ($4.40 each) and the rest of our party seemed to enjoy theirs. As for the fries (2 at $2.40) each...they really need to be eaten immediately, with added salt and ketchup. It's probably the cleanest french fries one can get (just freshly cut potatoes, fried in sunflower oil), but isn't great in taste, fast food wise. They only have one size, and two servings was fine for the four of us. Having no freezers in the stores means having to use freshly hand cut fries, which sounds great, but doesn't reach the ceiling what a freshly fried Mickey D's fry can (sometimes) attain. read more

I am lucky to have this In-N-Out around the block from my house. From the moment we came in, the cashier was all smiles, attentive and gave my toddler a hat and crayons. As soon as we sat down, a gentleman working the tables area offered us ketchup and peppers, think his name was with the letter Z? Wrote down their names but can't find the receipt. I didn't have to leave my toddler unattended for getting those items. Thank you to the wonderful team! read more

Unpopular opinion, but I'm gonna say it: In-N-Out ain't all that. It's rather mediocre and way overrated. When I was younger, I loved the animal style cheeseburger, animal style fries and Neapolitan milkshake. The prices have fortunately not changed much, which is pretty amazing for these inflated times. As I have had much better burgers over the years and various delicious fries, going back to In-N-Out is a serious let down. The patties are so thin and small, you could miss them in a protein lettuce wrap. The fries have a strange spongy, dry texture to them and I find American cheese to taste like plastic. What was once an enticing "animal style" topping is just that cheap cheese, thousand island dressing, relish and grilled onions. Well, the grilled onions are still good and the ingredients are fresh as they say; they don't have freezers. I hear their fries are just potatoes, canola oil and a little salt, but I have made fries at home and they do not have that strange spongy texture like In-N-Out. The milkshake is still thick and hits. The customer service has been consistently solid. They were so patient and kind to guests asking for things and changing their orders at the pick-up area during my last visit. I guess In-N-Out provides nostalgia and cheap, fairly fresh fast food to many. I'd rather go to Five Guys with more topping options, bigger, juicier patties and awesome fries. read more

This is the worst In-N-out that I've been too. I've been to this location a few times because it's the closest and every time I hate it. Today we were driving home and stopped there. I gave it one last chance and NEVER again. I ordered light well fries and a cheeseburger mustard fried with extra lettuce. This is not extra lettuce. Extra lettuce should have been balled up in palm and shaped nicely. Meat should always be showing but as seen in the other photo it wasn't. I had to push the burger from the bottom up to see the meat I was given the scraps of the bottom tray. My boyfriend got a double double and this burger had no smile which is a standard. Honestly the food was so not worth it. I regret ever getting food there again and wasting money. Such horrible service/quality read more

I'm not a fan of In-N-Out, but Husband and friend love it. So we came here for a quick dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was impressed with this clean location, inside & out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It wasn't busy, and our order was quickly taken by a friendly young man. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While the guys waited for our order at a table, I checked out the restroom. Impressive. Clean and lacking for nothing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was very good. My burger was delicious, and I did enjoy the fries that the guys shared with me. Fried foods don't agree with me, so I only had a few. They were very good, and I would have eaten more if I could guarantee that my digestive tract wouldn't be upset! I will definitely give In-N-Out burgers another try next time we're in CA. Who doesn't love In n Out!? It's been a while since I've had one so I stopped by after work and went thru the drive thru. Long line but very efficient and moved quickly since they were taking orders in the parking lot. The burger is perfection and fortunately the fries were fresh and actually crispy as sometimes they can get soggy. I can't say anything bad about In n Out as I've never had a bad experience. read more

Still some of the best prices you can get for some Great tasting hamburger. This location has a lot of parking available, not like other in and outs that has high traffic with no parking available. I'm going to have to reduce the rating here. I do love this location because drive thru is usually very fast. Which I always do but this time I decided to eat here. Well I was disappointed! I ordered and waited a while to get my food. I don't understand why it takes so long when all I got was a cheeseburger combo and a protein burger. And there was no one in line when I ordered! Stopped by at 1:00 a.m. after a concert, and In-N-Out was a lifesaver! I was surprised that the cashier was so friendly and cheerful taking my order at that time, and my order came out hot out of the grill/fryer in about 10 minutes. They have their own section of the parking lot and plenty of spaces, so it wasn't too hectic when I went. read more

This was my first time on the west coast, so I had to try the acclaimed In-N-Out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I stopped by around 7:45 pm for a late dinner and was surpised by the large crowd and packed dining room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was a short line at the register; however, the cashiers were moving people through quickly. I ordered a Cheeseburger with Fries and a Diet Coke. A seemingly iconic order from the west coast staple. I wish I would have realized their cheeseburgers come with onions, lettuce, tomato, and animal sauce, because I would have preferred only cheese. Generally, I do not eat beef, but they do not have any other options on the menu. The patty is very thin, but tasted good. It reminded me similarly of a McDonald's Hamburger with the fries resembling those of Steak 'n Shake. Just ordered one double double meal and two cheeseburger meals around 2:30pm. Decided that I wanted an extra double double after I ordered. Was told to let them k now at second window. I drive to second window and before I could say anything she said your adding a double double? I said yes she said go to next window and pay. When I got to the next window she said my ordered and said with an additional double double., I replied yes. Before i knew it I had everything in the seat next to me driving off. I've heard about this place throughout the years on TV shows and movies and while in California, I definitely wanted to try it so I took a quick trip over to In-N-Out Burger and I got a double double with onions. The burger was delicious. The cheese was melted. The bun was not mushy and the vegetables were very fresh and crispy. The french fries were seasoned well. Everything was fresh and very tasty. The drive-through line was wrapping around the parking lot so I had to go inside the store to order my food once inside of the restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was like a blast from the past the interior decorations of the restaurants were very reminiscent to old school hamburger joints, the staff all war cool uniforms, and the restaurant was very clean inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When it was time to place my order, the staff was very helpful and friendly and definitely inviting. I would absolutely come here again and try another one of their burgers because the first one I had was absolutely delicious. read more

Anytime I am on the west coast I need to get my In-N-Out fix! I'm basic as I just like a plain cheeseburger with fries and a vanilla shake. No animal for me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location was fast, convenient and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the burger size seems to have been shrinking over the years. Went thru the drive and I told the worker the order right and then went to the window and she told me a different order corrected it and was told to pull into the front at the other window for the rest of my order. Waited for like 5 mins and finally got the rest of my order which was wrong again. Had to get off the car and ask for it to be corrected AGAIN?!?! Yeah not coming to this in n out again. I don't know if it's the communication between the workers or the workers are just incompetent. Also my first burger was smashed in. read more

This place is magnificent! Never had a burger this good in my dang life!! I recommend this to my whole family and friends, the service was absolutely outstanding as well! In-N-Out in Signal Hill is my go-to spot because I live in downtown L.A., and the one closest to me is way too hard to get to with all the weird routes and traffic. This location is super convenient to get to whenever I'm visiting family in Long Beach, and I typically always make a stop. The prices have always been affordable, and the quality is always amazing. Everything is fresh, hot, and made just right burgers, fries, shakes, all of it. Even when the drive-thru is packed, the service is quick and friendly. It's easily one of the most reliable fast food spots out there and will always be. read more

I love having this In-N-Out location right up the road from me and my hospital, though it always gets crazy busy in the evenings. That drive thru line is ridiculous! I will always choose to find a parking spot and walk up in the restaurant instead. As far as In-N-Out goes, this is a solid location, and they always make my order perfectly when I remember to order it correctly. The staff here is nearly always enthusiastic, and I love most of our interactions. I only come for the steamed hams, but as my homegirl (Alyssa E) said, if you decide to order fries, get them animal style! The fries themselves aren't my favourite, but when you add a little extra sabor, they're a nice addition to your meal. Show love to this Cali steamed ham chain, Long Beach style! read more

This most recent visit was on new years eve. They always seem to have a very long drive thru line, so I opted to eat inside. It was fairly busy, but there was no wait to order and I found a place to sit immediately after getting my drink. I love going to In n Out for a burger because they are consistent! If I'm super hungry I get a double-single with extra extra lettuce. As for the onions, definite yes! I like both the raw and the whole-grilled, depending on my mood. I dunno why people hate on their fries. I ate them all up! I do order mine with no salt but enjoy dipping them in ketchup with pepper. I do wish they had been a bit crispier, so I'll have to try and remember the "well done fries" request to see how I like them. During this visit I noticed they had a "lite" version of their pink lemonade. I gave it a try, and it wasn't so bad, honestly. Especially since I like to add iced tea anyway. At the end of the meal, I took a quick visit to the restroom, and despite it being a busy day and lots of people coming in and out, they were nicely stocked and clean. I can't remember the manager's name there, but he is always on his top game. He and I talked at the door because I was waiting for my order, but it felt good outside so we talked while he held the door open for customers. He's always very friendly and professional, which is. Great to have! I am using speech to text so there's no paragraphs and hopefully there's some punctuation in there :-) the food is always so fresh and you may wait like four or five minutes but it's worth the wait because they are serving so many people. I have always been a big fan of Inn-n-out for their quality and corporate practices. This past Sunday, the drive thru attendant did not return our card and by the time we noticed and went back to get it we had several charges from the location. And yes, the manager had the card and returned it to us. We called right away and were told it was being investigated. It's now 3 days later and the chargers are still there, no answers on why, and no resolution in sight. Beyond frustrating and so disappointed on how this is being handled. read more

Never have I ever wanted to leave a negative review for In-N-Out, and I know they get super busy all the time, but unfortunately, this location had a big miss the other night with my friends and I. We came here around midnight after a festival in Long Beach, and the drive-thru line was pretty busy afterward, so we decided to order inside. We waited for 40+ minutes, and they forgot one of our orders, which I've never experienced at an In-N-Out before. Also, my burger patty was extremely salty on top of that. Although it was a late and bad night, I will continue to be a loyal customer. I just wanted to share my overall experience. read more

When I heard that I Luv Ur Buns was closing for good after only a couple of years, it only made…read moresense for me to plan a quick excursion around the area and stop by to bid them adieu. It was a nice addition to the mini food court in Long Beach, but unfortunately, times got tough for them to the point where they had to pull the plug on their operations. I Luv Ur Buns was one of seven vendors at Steelcraft Long Beach on the southeast corner of Long Beach and Bixby. They had taken over the spot that used to be Waffle Love, and it was such a quick turnaround that on my first visit to Steelcraft Long Beach since the Waffle Love closure, I almost thought they seamlessly rebranded from waffles to bao buns lol. Signage was posted around the shipping container assigned to I Luv Ur Buns and even a signicade closer to Steelhead Coffee; the signs informed customers that they were closing and that the Sunday preceding Martin Luther King Jr Day would be their last day of business, which also happened to be the same day the LA Rams were playing in the NFC Divisional Round of the playoffs, so I almost thought Steelcraft would be jam-packed. Actually, no it wasn't even that busy, and there were several parking spots available just around Steelcraft. I definitely wanted to try a bao bun, but not a full dinner, so that left me with the two Global Flavors sections of the menu. One section was titled "Global Flavors on Bao Buns" where you basically get two bao buns. Don't think these bao buns are large by any means; I tried a couple at Sosogu sometime last year, and they're not that big either. They would have been the perfect size for a snack, but I was also curious about the other Global Flavors section, titled "Global Flavors with Rice or Fries". That section only has two line items: Mini Bowls and Loaded Fries. I didn't want fries, but when I asked about a Mini Bowl, I was informed that it was a deconstructed version of a bao bun with a small mound of rice. Wanting a little more variety, I went with the Bao Mi Mini Bowl. The menu did get a little confusing for me because I had noticed the (V), which usually stands for either vegan or vegetarian. However, they had several non-vegetarian items with (V), and that had me confused at first; like how is a bao bun with grilled pork belly vegetarian?? That's when the cashier, sporting a black nose ring, let me know that it can be ordered with a plant-based option, namely tofu. However, the cashier also mentioned the use of a shared fryer between their plant-based options and their regular options, so if you were strictly vegan, I'd think twice first. I asked how long the wait would be, and they estimated 10 minutes, which was pretty much spot on. I was given a pager that buzzed when my order was ready, and since there was plenty of space for me to eat, I was given a red tray with an "I Luv Ur Buns" sticker in the middle. The mini bowl was presented on a small tray, like one you'd use when you're giving out samples at a special event. I was also given a fork, which was another reason why I ordered a Mini Bowl over two bao buns as I wanted to keep my hands clean. Besides the grilled pork belly, the Bao Mi also comes with hoisin sauce, cucumber, jalapeno, onion, and cilantro. All of what I just mentioned tasted pretty good, though not necessarily as good as what I had at Sosogu last year. Then again, the Bao Mi is Vietnamese-style whereas Sosogu is Japanese, but between the two, which are the two cheapest options at $10, the Bao Mi was the most popular alongside their Korean-style, called Seoul on Fire. I'm pretty sure I would have liked Seoul on Fire better as it comes with Bulgogi beef, but the grilled pork belly was pretty good too. Just not as fatty as I would have liked. However, I didn't like their use of a wrapping paper between the tray and the food. That's because several grains of rice got stuck on the wrapping paper, and it was hard to pluck them off with my fork. As a result, it got kind of messy eating the mini bowl, and I almost thought I'd drop a piece of pork belly in the process! Luckily, I didn't, but I don't think that would be a problem with the bao buns since the bao bun from my mini bowl didn't stick to the wrapping paper at all. One thing I observed that I thought was kind of cool was witnessing the cashier hand deliver a tray of bao buns to an employee from Elio's Wood Fire Pizza, directly across from I Luv Ur Buns. I wouldn't say I love I Luv Ur Buns, but it made for a nice quick snack albeit a little pricey for a small bowl. I'm glad I gave them a try before they closed for good, and I made sure to bid them a proper adieu by returning the tray to them. They also had a small tray of I Luv Ur Buns stickers by their order window, so I made sure to pick up a couple as souvenirs. Global Flavors on Bao Buns for all the yum and then some not to mention those vegetable spring rolls, fries and load fries as well as bowls. Service on the last weekend was a perfect 10/10. The vibes and decor at SteelCraft where ILUB called home is still nothing but great, live music/djs, tvs with sports or local events and an open air covered food and hangout hub. Easy parking in on of their 2 lots, see signs. This sign will absolutely be missed.

Adding the avocado costs a couple bucks but totally transforms the burrito into a calorie-dense behemoth that'll keep you going all day. The Caesar salad was decent for the price. Unfortunately, the bread pudding didn't work for me. It was very dense and almost brick-like. Overall, the value is there and the staff was very nice. For me personally, the food felt a bit average. I tend to prefer paying a little more for higher quality rather than saving a few dollars on something that doesn't quite hit the mark. Because of that, I probably wouldn't go back, but others might appreciate the price point and friendly service. Food 3 stars. Staff 5 average 4

I've had the orange chicken, mixed vegetables, kung pao chicken, jalapeño chicken, chicken curry, egg rolls, and chicken egg rolls -- all consistently good every time. The staff is amazing as well. They're professional, friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. You can tell they care about both the food and the customers. My only complaint is that they're closed on Sundays... but honestly, I get it. They deserve a day off and probably can't spoil me with good food seven days a week. Definitely one of my go-to spots.

They were very busy and I was glad i called my order in. I paid and waited a little, not a problem. When I got back to work, I was not completely happy with my order of shrimp fried rice. I've had other food items from here (see my other review) and the food was top tier. I didn't want to post a negative review without calling to resolve the concern. I spoke with Phil. He was apologetic and offered to make it right. My intention was really not for a redo of the order, but rather to let them know. I told him I could come back after work at 5p. When I arrived at about 5:10, it was fresh, hot and ready! Thank you Phil for your excellent customer service. I see why Chinese Gourmet is so busy! Great food and service!
