Very nice, friendly and helpful service here. The place is like a hole in a wall or a hole in the hood type. Small parking lot but has free street parking. Pop-up tables & plastic chairs for seating in the covered seating area. Louisiana fried style chicken & seafoods but they do have donut and boba tea as well. It's not cheap for sure. The meals are delivered in brown bag but with the greases got through the paper bad so easily torn but they did put in a plastic bag when order more than 2-3 orders. I love fried chicken, and this style is not my style, it okey, flavorful and the pieces are small. For some reason the legs is more juicier than the thighs (abit dried for my taste). The hot sauce is over power of vignette so a it too sour for me but not enough spicy. The fish, however is perfectly cooked and coded. Juicy inside and perfectly thin crusty outside. The tartar sauce is abit off for me but eating by itself is just fine for me. Fries are good but I'm not into it so..but perfectly cooked and crunchy and pipping hot. For me, the fish here is WAY much better than the chicken from the size, the taste and the favor...so good. Serving up Louisiana style fried chicken in the LA area, Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken has over 100 locations throughout the US, though none in Louisiana itself. Our group of four had a chance to stop by for an early dine-in dinner, and found the chicken to well prepared and tasty. Originally founded in 1976 in Los Angeles by a enterprising franchisee who wanted to create his own fast food brand, Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken soon became very popular with LA residents. As sometimes happens with immigrant communities by word of mouth and 'paying it forward', the burgeoning Cambodians began to be the majority owners of franchisees, until it resulted in the brand being sold to a Cambodian in 2009. Considering the largest concentration of Cambodians outside of Cambodia is in Long Beach, California, I wanted to try this particular location. They also sell donuts here, and my credit card bill actually listed the donut shop as the vendor...this for me is not a selling point, but was not noticeable during our visit. It's a walk-up set-up, where you order/pay for your food through security windows. We ordered a 12-piece family combo for $35.45, which included 3 pieces of breast/thigh/wing/leg, 2 small orders of fries, a coleslaw and 6 rolls. They also sell fried catfish and shrimp, so got a 4 pc shrimp ($3.85). They only sell drinks by cans or bottles, so got 4 cans of Coke/Pepsi/Squirt. It is clearly stated that each order is fried fresh, taking about 20 minutes. Our order was ready in 15 minutes, and we decided to dine-in (a small makeshift outdoor dining area with temporary tables was set-up). The chicken was well brined and had been fried well (leaving plenty of space between the chicken), with the outer coat being crunchy with a little bit of spice. For me it tasted very similar to the popular national chain, but with more consistency. The 'small' fries were not that at all, but very large...with one being enough to feed the four of us. The fries looked underdone, but were not. There were no condiments available, so the saving grace was the thin hot sauce that you could dip your fries and chicken into. The rolls were forgettable, and the coleslaw was grocery store quality (which I actually like). In fact, the chicken and sides reminded me of what you could get at a grocery store deli, except always getting the chicken fresh, instead of ones that have been fried too many to a basket and sitting too long under a heat lamp. Freshness definitely matters here. There was plenty of food for the 4 of us, with us taking half of the meal home. It reheated very well, providing us a good lunch the following day. read more

This is not a great place. It was presented like trash in a greasy brown bag, sadly. The fries were piping hot but undercooked and soggy. Totally inedible. It takes a long time, but they do seem to cook it fresh. Sadly, it's not very good. The swai was the high point and we got a 5 piece but it was so salty that my tongue hurts. It's pretty rough around the edges, most people seem to take food to go. I'm not sure I'd go back. Wish it were a black owned place, I was missing New Orleans and good Southern Food. read more

This is the best Louisiana fried chicken location in my opinion. The fried chicken is seasoned really well and is always made fresh to order. The skin is so crispy and the meat is very juicy. I like to get the chicken breast and tenders. I also like the fries here. It is crispy, delicious and has cajun seasoning. The prices are reasonable too. They have party sizes, which is great and affordable for parties/potlucks. They also serve fried fish, shrimp and sandwiches/burgers. Other than the fried chicken and fries,, I've only tried their fried shrimp, which was also good. Stopped by for a late lunch earlier this week thanks to a recommendation from a local friend and I was impressed with how good the chicken was! Fresh fried chicken is always delicious and I decided to get their chicken strips after looking over their menu. They fry their chicken to order so it takes some time but nothing beats hot fried chicken right out of the fryer! There's plenty of seating inside the restaurant and it was a little busy since I came during lunch time. Portion size is pretty good for the price you pay here! The chicken strips were crispy on the outside with the skin having good flavor and the chicken was moist and not dry on the inside. You get a good amount of fries and a roll on the side as well! Hands down the best fried chicken in Long Beach :) I went to this place as a last resort before Christmas Eve because I'm running out of options what food to bring for my fam bam. I stumbled upon this place on Yelp and saw great reviews.. and most importantly they're open around that time.. what a clutch savior moment. Fried chicken made very straight forward (no frills and whatever twists) but cooked perfectly! Especially for the portion size, their combo meals are a steal. Chicken is made fresh, VERY flavorful but not overpowering, crispy, juicy and holds really well after being reheated after a quite a drive.
