This was maybe my third or fourth time there. It's a great small neighborhood walking distance Asian food option. I've gotten cashew chicken, avocado roll, beef and broccoli, pork lo mein before... today I got the General Tso's lunch set with hot and sour soup (though they gave wonton instead) and a salmon roll. The salmon roll was delicious. The wonton soup was good too although not quite what I ordered. It was takeout though and I didn't discover until I had walked away... Starting with the green chicken curry..looked like they used food coloring and had terrible taste. The pineapple chicken fried didn't taste like the Thai pineapple fried rice..it seems like it started out like a regular fried rice and they added the pineapple chunks and chicken. After reading all the wonderful reviews I am sincerely confused as to how this place got such a high rating???? Perhaps their Japanese and Chinese food is better than their Thai?! I came here after a delivery man slipped a menu into our office advertising this restaurant. I am wary of adverts like these (smack of desperation), but when I noticed they serve Thai I decided to try it out. What a mistake. I ordered the green curry lunch special and as soon as I opened the box I had a feeling the food would be terrible. The curry was congealed and filled with frozen okra and green beans (which wtf for a green curry?!) It tasted even worse than it looked, the curry had the consistency of mucus and tasted nothing like Thai Green Curry... I threw it away uneaten. We typically only order from Sultan Wok and usually have no complaint. This past order was just a dinner for one, Egg Foo Young and an egg roll. Order was delivered fairly quickly and left by the front door. The egg roll was tough and small. The egg foo was cooked ok but the ingredients used were mostly onions and some chewy scraps of what I guess was supposed to be beef. The gravy was thin and off putting, not typical at all. It was filling but nothing about it would recommend a repeat. There are other Chinese restaurants in the area that deliver, I will try one of them next time. read more

We have ordered take-out from this restaurant for years. Lately, the quality has gone down and this week was terrible. The food we ordered was overcooked and tasted awful. We had vegetable steamed dumplings, which were very mushy and tasteless. Sesame Beef was tough and oversauced. Our Lo Mein was soaked in what seemed like soy sauce (very dark brown) and was mushy and salty. Finally, the Buddhist Delight was overcooked and oversauced. The tofu wasn't cooked correctly. The pancakes that came with them were hard and dried out. The best part was the home made egg roll which was delicious. The sushi was okay not amazing. Maybe it would be better if I went there and sat down to have a meal. But I wasnt impressed at all. There are better places that deliever I just figured I would give them a try since they used to be so good. I know they have many more locations so they might be better. One can hope but this place was not my cup of tea. Although they were quick on delivering, the food was not up to par. Like all restaurants they have their ups and downs but lately they have been really good. I would say that out of the hundreds of meals I've ordered I can remember 3 or 4 that I wasn't happy with. What prompted me to write this review is the observation that I ordered food from their website last night at 7:22pm and the delivery person rang my doorbell at 7:34pm. That's 12 minutes for 2 pints of Wonton Soup, 2 Egg Rolls, A large order of Boneless Spareribs, a quart of Sweet & Sour Chicken, a pint of Shredded Pork with Hot Garlic Sauce, and a pint of Szechuan Beef. DO NOT PUT YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO IN THEIR WEBSITE. This general area has all horrible Chinese food, so I have to rely on Sultan Wok. (BTW feel free to message me of you know of a good place.) The food is decent, they make nice shrimp toast, and they have sushi and Thai on the menu. When I've gotten the sushi it was eh, like sometimes decent and sometimes boring. Nothing wrong with the freshness of the protein, more that the rice was like dried out maybe. The food is good, not like stunning good, but not bad. I wish I could do 3.5 stars, because they aggravate me from upcharging for lots of things, like substituting brown rice, or switching to broccoli instead of red and green peppers, or getting an extra sauce. ================ OMG I'm editing my review. I just read that they hack credit cards used on their website, and I googled around and lots of people said it. And I've used their website ordering and had my card hacked! I wonder if this was the source. I think I will try with one of those prepaid types of card. It would be nice to know how this happened! read more
