Exactly what you want from a buffet and hibachi. Food was plentiful and there were many items to choose from; sushi, chicken, seafood, beef, noodles, rice, soups, and desserts. Some items are more flavorful than others, but all are cooked well and seemed fresh. The servers bring your drinks and did a nice job keeping them filled. The hibachi allows you to have your food cooked fresh right in front of you with the sauce of your choice. This is a solid buffet and the food seems reasonable for the price charged. The restaurant is clean and spacious, so you can easily get around other folks at the buffet. I'd recommend it, especially if you have a family. Thought I'd give this place a try... huge mistake. Came 2 hours before they closed and they acted like I was causing an inconvenience by walking in. The sushi selection is "average" at best. The entrées are not very good at all. Some are stale/old, some are "swimming" in oil, and some are a fried mess. The egg drop soup is pretty good. For 2 people, a dinner cost $31.77 (without tip). On our way out, my spouse asked for an ice tea to go. The server said she needed fifty cents for a to-go cup. Ate here with my visiting granddaughter. We felt food was excellent with a great variety. Granddaughter said she was stuffed when we left and I have to admit I was too. Another visit the waitress threw an out right temper tantrum screaming her tip ($6 at lunch) was horrible for waiting on four people. All the while she was taking our food m/plates before we were done eating. Constantly coming to our table in excess filling water when not needed and taking plates to rush us out. She was mad because she was wrong about a "group" coupon claimed it was only for one person and when she asked the manager about it her told her he was wrong. From that point she treated up terribly. I am a fan of Hibachi Grill; however, this afternoon, a friend and I were astonished at the lack of service from our so-called "server." This person brought us our drinks at the beginning of the meal, and that was the last time that they bothered to check on us, again, until my friend had to get up and get his own drink. I finally asked the server to provide us with refills, which they did, with an exasperated exhalation. When my friend and I were about to leave, we walked straight to the register, and the server brought the check. My friend told the cashier about our experience, and we weren't even acknowledged, as he handed back our change. This place is horrible. At first glance it's clean and "fancy" looking for a Chinese buffet, but the food is disgusting. The meat was over cooked-very chewy and gristly. A lot of the food sits out for too long on the buffet and gets cold. The sushi is also terrible...probably some of the worst sushi I've ever tried. The hibachi isn't great either. The ingredients aren't fresh. The vegetables are brown and look like they've been sitting out for days. The chef over cooked my rice and drowned everything in soy sauce. Do not go here. But I found a huge bug in my pudding the last time I went and the managers reaction is what really ruined it for us. There was barely any apology and we were just given excuses as to how the bug could have flown in. This bug didn't have wings, so it crawled in. He did end up giving us about a 15% discount on the meals but was very hesitant to do anything at all. You just want find a better place for Chinese in southern Kentucky. The selection is huge! Watching your weight, you are going to love the all American salad bar. Everything is fresh and delicious with selections of salads, soups, meats and specialty Chinese, Japanese & Korean dishes. The waitresses are attentive, courteous and helpful. Food is ok if you like roaches. My son and I went there a couple of months ago and had grabbed a plate and noticed several cockroaches scattering. We brought it to their attention and they did nothing to dissuade other people from eating. Needless to say we walked right out of there and immediately called the health department. Excellent! We went on a busy Easter Sunday. The service was great. Very attentive. The food was attractively presented and the buffet kept clean. The offerings were varied, fresh, and tasted great. Lots of fresh fruit and salads. My daughter was happy to see that the Sushi bar was included in the buffet price. Prices are incredibly reasonably! They had all the usual favorites and then some.
