I'm extremely disappointed with this experience. I ordered saltfish and received a plate that was mostly onions, peppers, and plantains with barely any fish at all. For $14, it felt like a complete waste of money. To make matters worse, when I called to ask about getting a replacement the next morning, the person who answered gave me the runaround. She told me to call back when the manager was in, but couldn't tell me when that would be. When I asked for the manager's name, she said she didn't know which manager would be there. I stumbled upon this small takeout shop while I was at the DMV in Miami Gardens. I was curious so I walked in and realized that they have Jamaican Beef Patties which I'm big fan of. They had all kinds including chicken, beef and veggie patties. I tried both spicy beef and chicken. Both were tasty and the crust was flaky, but I liked the beef better. Plus they're super affordable. Around $2 each. On my 2nd visit. I checked out their hot items on display. They jerk chicken, curries, rice and peas, plantains, and of course, Oxtail which BTW I've never had. Took my Oxtail meal home was really impressed. Where has this been all my life? LOL. It was so good. The sauce was heavenly and oxtail was very tender. Loved the rice and peas too. The rice was al dente and flavorful. They offer 2 sizes and I opted for the large which was more than enough. I actually had to eat the rest the following day and it was still as good. I'm a fan of this shop. I stopped by here after getting my driver's license. After waiting almost 2 hours, you need some pick-me-up. It was a bit early for dinner. So, I decided to try Jamaican patties. I love fresh spicy Jamaican beef patties and that's just what I got here. So delicious, truly golden and flaky with just the right amount of heat to it. Spicy enough to feel the kick but not so spicy that you can't taste your food. I got 5 and will be back Saturday morning for sure. I go to this location only because it's the closest to me. I have always had to mentally prep myself with patience before hand however my last visit was the quickest I have ever had. I waited in line for 15 minutes and once I got inside it took 5 minutes. It normally takes at least 30 minutes with no sense of urgency and the staff can be super slow and act as if they don't want to be there. Last Monday I was at the Golden Krist in Sunrise. The food was very delicious and hot. Therefore, I brought my son to your chain restaurant in Miramar parkways. However, we both were very disappointed because the Jerk chicken and rice and beans were extremely dry and they both did not look fresh at all. When I ate them and no tastes at all. My son ordered the curry goats with rice and beans, they were no tastes and super dry, too. Golden Krust is one of my go to spots whenever I need some good Jamaican food. I always get the rice/peas with brown stew chicken. They have a lunch special that is all day for only $5 and it comes with a drink. You can't beat that. The only thing is that it gets really packed and the line can be extremely long but it's worth it once you get your food. The staff there is nice and try to move the line as quickly as they can.. The brown stew chicken taste really good there. I tried it at another restaurant but it was not the same. The rice and peas are also really good. They accept cash and cards. They also have parking available. I would recommend anyone who wants to try good Jamaican food to go there and try it! You shouldn't be disappointed. read more

I had been 2 this location several years ago and was not impressed with the food always loved the patties though. My sister and I was in the neighborhood and I scrolled through the reviews, most of the old reviews were negative but after reading the more recent reviews I decided to stop in... First I will say pack your patience because its packed inside, but the line moves pretty quickly. That day we ordered oxtails, curry chicken, jerk chicken and brown stewed chicken dinners. I must say everything was delicious with the exception of the jerk, not that it was horrible, but it was just alright. The dinners come with rice and peas, cabbage and plantains. I stumbled upon this place when I came to renew my drivers license and let me tell you, best and most delicious Jamaican food I ever had in my life. We order a large portion and it was massive, definitely enough for two people. We ordered the brown-stew chicken with rice/beans, cabbage and plantains. They also put a very generous amount of the chicken gravy on the rice making the meal even more delicious. We also ordered a beef patty and it was amazing. Their coco bread is one of my favorite and since I work around the area and the area having many similar patty places I know what I am saying when I tell ya that this place is superb from the rest. So, as a Jamaican, I have witnessed first hand how our people can be some of the rudest when it comes to customer service. Went in there today, waited 15 minutes before the line even moved because I guess they were switching out the food, no sign, no one said a thing, just waiting. They were out of festival and fried dumplings. They were out of vegetables which is the accompaniment to the meal. My sister is trying not to eat rice, and wanted to order a lunch special but couldn't because there was a 30 MINUTE wait for vegetables!?! She just going to get chicken and vegetables. Why didn't they have PANS of vegetables since it's part of the course??? So, I asked for extra plantain with my food since again, there WERE NO VEGETABLES, I was denied.
