Lovely greetings upon arrival to Golden Krust! The space waa exceptionally clean and the food looked delicious behind the glass! I ordered a large oxtail to go and was served an enourmous amount of white rice and an extremely small serving of the oxtail and cabbage. Came across this place while having my cars oil changed locally at same shopping center. Most of the locals in area were saying it's great for lunch, so loving Jamaican and island food so much decided to try it. Noticed when I first came in that there was a huge line during lunch our but having been told it was good decided to wait. Menu as told seemed to have all the Jamaican goodies like oxtail, curry chicken and nice assortment of patties. Place looked clean with lots of employees on high speed mode trying to get customers their lunch. It't almost twenty minutes just to order food, but once served was worth the wait. It's a small Caribbean place with Jamaican food as well as Jamaican patties. The line for the food can be very long, especially during typical lunch hours, so that can be kind of a drag if you're starving or if you have some place to be. However, they have an express line open just for Jamaican patties and thank god they do. This line moves quickly, and the service is fast. The patties here are always hot and wonderfully flaky. My favorite is the spicy beef, because I love the flavor and flakiness of the dough with the heat from the beef. I also really like the curry chicken, because that curry flavor also really goes well in the dough. I usually order two for myself and the spicy beef and curry chicken are my go-tos. read more

The chicken can be a bit on the spicy side, so if you can't handle the spice, you may want to try it prior to ordering a full plate of food. Since I don't eat beef, I order the curry chicken patty which is always tasty, never greasy and full of flavor. Unfortunately on my four visits to is location, they have not had festivals, which is needed addition when eating Jamaican food. When visiting this location during lunch time, you can order the $4.99 lunch special where you get your choice of a curry, brown stew or jerk chicken plate along with a beverage.
