I have been going to this salon for more than 2 years. Everyone has always been very nice to me. Unfortunately, tonight I witnessed racism. They profiled a black woman right in front of my face telling her that she needed to pay first. I have never had to pay first. My friend has never paid first. My nail technician could see that I was uncomfortable and tried to explain that they could tell she was not from around here and then went on to explain about those people and how they had 2 young black women who had walked out without paying. If you are going to ask one person to pay first, then ask everyone. Sadly, I will not be going back there again. read more

I gave two stars because the people were nice, but my pedicure looks horrible.. It looks as if an amateur did my tools I asked for a French manicure. Every Law was. I needed an acrylic refill but my regular nail salon was booked up, so I decided to give Towson nails a try because they were in the area. I wish I hadn't spent my money there. My nails came out uneven and thick, plus it took the nail tech over two hours to finish the work. I won't ever go back there. They need to hire better trained people honestly. read more

I came in on a Tuesday afternoon and was helped immediately! I asked for gel nails and told the woman working that I wanted a design, she told me that she didn't do designs but that someone could! I told her that i wanted red nails and she helped pick out the perfect color. She did an amazing job with the gel manicure, and asked someone else to help with the heart. I really struggled with this one, mostly because my pedicure was so awesome, but the manicure- not so much. Went here, because the reviews seemed good. Place is def shabbier and more run down than other places in the area, but thought their services would make up for it. Was helped a very nice guy. Everyone here was really nice, as I was offered a beverage. Pedi area was run down and my massage chair didn't work. Luckily, the guy who did my pedi was awesome and really tried to make up for it with a long massage. My feet were soft and happy. However, my manicure left much to be desired. I am a simple mani girl- no acrylics, no gel, just paint. While my cuticles looked good, he barely rubbed lotion into my hands and the polish chipped before the night was over. read more

This is definitely my new nail salon! I came here after going to another shop that did a crappy acrylic job a little over a week before. The nail shape was uneven, the gel was bubbly and they just weren't what I wanted. I went to Towson Nails and was greeted by a very friendly lady who asked me what I needed. I asked for a soak off and new set. She brought me to a seat and had the tech who would be doing my nails (Marlene) come over. They both commented that my nails were still really new and it'd be a waste to soak them off. I agreed but explained that I just wasn't happy with the shape. Marlene said she could do a fill in and change the shape to what I wanted. I was hesitant but agreed to let her do what she thought was best. She did an excellent job at reshaping the nails and was so gentle with the drill - something I appreciate because most techs are way too rough. I am beyond happy with my nails now and am so excited I found a salon with excellent customer service in this area! read more

My nails took 2.5 hours. They are thick and the shape is not good at all. The edges of my nails and rigged and not smooth. He asks some people if they want a water Or coffee and then walks by others. Today I asked For a water and he ignored me. When I arrived none of the employees greeted me. I had to ask if there was a wait. When I told him ( assuming manager)I was there to get my nails fixed he stated next time don't take your nails off. I just moved here from long island, NY about 3 months ago, so finding a nail salon was hard. I browsed a few in the area of Towson and cockeysville (which is where I live now ) and I didn't find a good salon. Needless to say I was wasting money in the process. A customer of mine from where I work told me about Towson nails and told me to ask for SANDY because she was the best. Well I took the chance yet again, and I'm so happy I did. My nails are perfect! I just had the worst mani pedi of my life. Victor was extremely rough. He did not use a cuticle softener on my feet or hands. He could not get the shape of oval on my nails. I have nails of different lengths and shapes. I did ask seven times for the shapes to be fixed and I'm left with nails about three times shorter than normal. The gelish polish he used on my hands is awful! It's clumped and uneven. The polish on my toes in uneven as well. I can still see the cuticle around my nail and there is polish all over my fingers. Needless to say I don't recommend this gentleman. He was very rude when I had to take a work call. read more

I called around 7:30 and asked what time they closed and the man to just come in and they'll take care of me. I arrived at 8 and that's when they closed ad they still took me and did my pedicure! In October of 2011 after we realized that our favorite salon by the Mars on york road got bought out and our manicures and pedicures were getting sloppy and the quality and cleanliness was declining we decided to search for a new place to go. I saw a sign for a nail place near where I live and decided to go in and check it out- if we didnt like it we could move on and leave. Much to our suprise the place was extremely clean, had a fantastic selection of Essie and OPI and also had the best selection that I have seen of Gel- they have Shellac, OPI-Axxium, Gellish and another brand as well. They have every color imaginable and also make sure to buy all the new lines for Essie and OPI. They are pretty much always busy but you never have to wait. Everyone is very friendly and they have a very strong client base that is very loyal. Everyone I have gone to does a fantastic job. I have gotten pedicures, regular manicures and we go there every 2-3 weeks for our gel manicures. They guarentee that the gel manicure will last at least 2 weeks and if it doesnt they insist that you come back to get it re-done. They also do gel manicures on your toes (still havent tried this). It is a great place to relax with a glass of wine and get your nails done! read more

Avoid this salon! I was a first time customer and had an appt for 5pm and arrived on time. I was taken immediately to have my nails soaked. I then had to wait 45 minutes before anyone checked on me. In the meantime, my daughter arrived for her 5:30 appt. They told her it would be an hour before they could take her. What is the point of having an appt of it can't be honored. She decided to leave and go to another salon as a walk-in where she was able to be taken. Back to me...an hour and 15 minutes later, I was finally finished. I was content, but now less than 5 days since my dip service the color has totally faded from my nails. I had them a bright (almost neon) pink. They are now faded and dulled to a pale ballet pink. I have never had dip service do this before, so I know it is not something I have come in contact with since my appt. I will never go back to Towson nails. Tried this place for the first time last Tuesday. The lady who did my nails was very nice. I got gel on my nails and toes. My nails were already chipping 2 days later and were VERY chipped 2 days after that. Normally gel lasts at least 10 days for me so this was disappointing especially given the price I paid for it.
