Been saving my review for a while. Started doing the breakfast burrito thing a few months back. My other go to burrito place's drive thru was way messed up. The burritos were good better than most. The hubs loves breakfast sandwiches and not burritos so I bring one home to him. He raves about it for days. So on my next visit I try the sandwich. Well it did not disappoint perfectly toasted bread, Mayo that didn't drip out. The sandwich is eggs, meat (always do bacon), lettuce and tomato. Nothing fancy, but it's perfect they are not hiding behind gimmicky/trendy add Ins. They have good food prepared well. Glad I finally tried this place after driving by for so many years. read more

Formally "Bob's Burgers" I really didn't like their burgers when they first opened up, but something's changed. Their sauce tastes better, beef patties seem more fresh & grilled onions are free of charge(another place I go to charges $.25 lol) I usually get their 4 burgers, 4 sodas & 4 drinks for $18.99 special. I add cheese for $.50 cents a burger. I place my orders over the phone, and it usually only takes about 5-10 minutes for my order to be ready for pickup. Prices are a bit more expensive than other places, but they have awesome deals so give them a call and see what specials they have. Pulled up to the drive thru window, only to have the woman at the window yell with her mask on her chin to the car behind me. She continued bagging and talking while her mouth wasn't covered. I told her since she refuses to cover her mouth while handling the food that I was no longer buying and was leaving for that reason. She gave me that look and didn't so much care. So for that reason I will always tell my friends and family to stay away from this place. If they don't care about people then I don't care if their business fails. read more

This place makes really good food. I eat many burgers, and I am blessed to live between Golden OX/Georges/A&J. I always get a double cheesburger. They have a large menu with many classics. I recommend also the patti-melt. Their fried zucchini is great, also fries and onions rings are great. But the perfectly charred edges around the burger patties is why I keep coming back. read more

Great food. Burgers, tacos, burritos are all very tasty. Staff are very friendly. Inside is NOT air conditioned. Way too hot during the summer to come and eat here. I hope management fixes this soon. First off dont come here when its a hot day..... no a/c just fans with the door wide open letting all the flies to come in, i knew just by stepping in and seeing that i should of just walked away to else where... The younger girl at the counter looked miserable due to the heat or whatever it was and the other lady with the glasses had a very snarky attitude problem As for the food the only decent thing i had was the burger itself was charbroiled and unlimited drinks at your self serve kiosk was nice but other than that the fries was terrible and over cooked..... they give you those skinny fries and not those nice thick cut fries we all come to love from mom and pop joints. We also ordered a order of zucchini's which the portion size was very plenty however the ranch size provided was not, they were sample sizes for all those and when asked for more they wanted to charge extra for more and again attitude issues with the lady in glasses,the jack in the box ranch was bigger than what they had provided me At that point with all the attitude the lady with glasses i didnt want to finish my food i simply just wanted to get up and leave my 32+ dollar meal for me and my family.... This review is only for the service. I've been coming here for years. Really like the food here as it's good quality but unfortunately, the last few times I've been here the service has gone down the tube. The last few times I've came here, I had to wait over 30 minutes in the drive through. Both times only 2 cars were in front of me. I felt bad the 2nd time because the car in front of me only ordered a drink. I appreciate good food but for a fast food place, waiting over 30 minutes to get my food is not acceptable. I wouldn't leave this review if this was an isolated incident but it's happened to my a few times now, and the last two were over 30 minutes each. I like the food here but it's not so great to where I have to wait 30 minutes in a drive through. The last two visits were at different times. The first visit that took over 30 minutes was around 10 am on a Saturday. There were two cars in front of me and all I ordered was a BLTA and a breakfast burrito. The 2nd time my ordered took over 30 minutes, it was around 6:40 am on a Saturday as well. I ordered 3 BLTA's and a pastrami sandwich. This is the incident where the car in front of me only ordered a drink and had to wait so long. By the time I got up to the window, the workers were too busy talking to even start my order. I was pretty irate by this time as I figured it would have been almost ready since I waited close to 20 minutes behind two cars. I was wrong. They just started my order as I pulled up as 3 of the workers were just talking away with each other. Waiting for fresh food is fine with me. Waiting for over 30 minutes at a fast food joint is not. I thought the first long wait was just an isolated incident but I was wrong, as the next time I went back, I had to wait even longer. Will not be coming back. read more

We pulled up to the drive thru at 9am never having been but the reviews had reeled our palates in. We both ordered an avocado BLT for breakfat...I mean breakfast. It was so tasty and hearty. The bacon was cooked to perfection, the lettuce was fresh and the tomato was juicy. The service was friendly and fast. My only gripe was that the menu listed price didn't match what I was charges for the sandwhiches. I believe it was about 1.00 off total but still. Then, there was a fee added to have used my check card which wasn't posted or forewarned to me. It was $13 for two blts and a medium soda. read more

Don't get me wrong it's nothing fancy at all but that's exactly why I like it. The drive through is always efficient and relatively quick and the staff knows exactly what they are doing. I was deciding from this place or Burger King for breakfast...should've gone to BK. Poor customer service $8. For 2 pancakes, 2 sausage links, 2 eggs and a coffee. The price would've been great if the pancakes had taste and sausage links weren't burned. I waited a few minutes before the cashier realized I was waiting to order. I think I was the only person in the restaurant other than the cook and 2 cashiers. As the cashier walked up to the counter to take my order she didn't look happy at all, and didn't even greet. I could sense she was bothered. I was thinking about walking away but my time was limited and of course I'm hungry. So I placed my order, to go. Before I could add hash browns she was charging me so decided not to add anything and eat those extra calories at lunch. She gave me my cup for coffee and walked away. Well there wasn't any coffee. So I start calling the lady politely and the other cashier walks up and puts another coffee dispenser. So I'm waiting for my food and the cook is asking the cashier if my order is to go, and she obviously ignored him since he asked me. The cashiers were just standing off to the side chatting away about personal issues. So finally my food is ready, quite fast by the way. And the younger cashier says "ok girl it's ready" well I am a girl but have never been told my order was ready like that before its either a number or name so it was awkward for me. I have eaten at almost every burger spot you can think of in this area. This place was one of the last ones on my checklist. I wanted to try something different, I was not feeling the burger or chicken dinner these spots fight for superiority over. So I spotted something on the menu that was new to me. I saw something on the menu called the "meat eater". Now, let me tell yo- that thing is vicious. It took my taste palettes on a new endeavor. I was glad I choose it. The bread is saturated with grease, butter and all kinds of flavor. The meat inside is enough two stuff up a foot long sandwich at subway. It's really good. I highly recommend this place, I have tried many other items and everything is pretty good. Parking is good, customer service is great however the drive thru speaker is very hard to hear sometimes and I think they need to replace it. Other than that, place is golden. read more

Warning!!! Stay away from this place. The food is horrible. I ordered a sausage burrito and got about 1 lb. Of two day old hash browns that were hard as hell and impossible to chew. I had to throw it out. It was like chewing on hard plastic shavings. Clearly these people have no business serving food to people and arent interested in having return customers. The biggest indicator that the food is horrible is that in the morning, the place is empty. The place should be busy at this time. No lines at the drive through and no one inside. I was super excited to see one of these burger joints close to my new gym and since I've been to a Golden Ox before, I figured it would be as good as I remembered it to be. Totally the contrary. Although the fries were seasoned well and fried to a nice soft crisp, the burger was puny and sad. The patty was so small. For the price of 8 bucks for a combo, I felt like I should've gotten just a bit more meat. That flavors are there but that weenie size burger didn't cut it for me. read more

I was gonna get a breakfast burrito (they serve breakfast all day!!) or chili cheese fries (you can order half an order!) but as soon as I saw texas fries, that's all I want to try. There was not a lot of cheese on the fries, but it is ok because the fries stay crispy longer. The fries were medium sized (not as big as steak fries and not as small as shoe string fries). The bacon, O M G. CRISSSSPPYYY. Like the ones I used to make at home. That's the real highlight of texas fries. EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF BACON WAS CRISPY. I WILL BE BACK. Came here at 9:15pm for a quick bite. Seriously, wtf the worse customer service we've ever experienced dining out. Terrible staff's service from the moment we walked in. Being our first time here we were exploring the menu and we could tell the chef and cashier were getting annoyed from us asking questions about the menu. Finally, I told the front girl I wanted the "Philly cheesesteak meal" and replace the fries with fried zucchini, she yelled out my order to the chef "pastrami burger" when I corrected her with the correct order the chef turned around looked at me than turned away and mumbled "fuck". My husband ordered just the fish burger and the price totaled to be $20.07. The cashier refused to mentioned that they were an extra charge for the fried zucchini assuming we would be ok with the extra charge. But whatever we still wanted to try their food, but than she told us that they were closing at 10 and the dine in area is close at 9:30. I than told my husband let's go somewhere else since we didn't have that much time to dine in. The cashier insisted that we could stay and eat for as long as we like; therefore, we paid and went to the table and waited for our food. Another rude waitress brought out my Philly cheesesteak and told us that we have 10 mins to eat because their dine in area will be closed at 10:45. By this time, my blood has already boiled. Wtf? Who talks to their paid customers like that? Why was she even hired? Finally, I told her that we were told by the cashier before we paid for our food that we were able to dine here, she gave me a "oh no, our dining room will be closed." No apology for the way we were treated as customers whatsoever. When we told her We wanted our money back and we don't want the food since we've lost our appetite from the horrible ass service. The chef than came out barking at us demanding that we eat our food and that he wasn't returning our money. Did he think he was gonna punk us or intimidate us? I know it wasn't the language barrier because he knew exactly what he was doing. He said he had to call the boss for our refund since the food was already made, but he refused to see the fact that there was no way we were going to sit there and stomach our food after the way we were treated by all of them as paid customers. After threatening to call the cops if our money was not returned within 5 mins, the girl quickly returned our money. And we could hear them cursing at us as we walked away. To the owner, realize that there are many restaurants like yours and retrain or fire your current staff because your business will hurt as a result of those terrible employees. read more

I came here for dinner togo in-store and the lady had hard time understanding english and struggled to answer questions about the food due to poor English. I had ordered Asada French Fries, and clearly ordered without beans and asked again if she put no beans, she said yes. But later after receiving the order, I opened up the asada fries, to find beans inside. I told them I said no beans, they checked the receipt and told me they didnt get no beans as an order. So I told them that the lady confirmed it, and they checked it out with her and she agreed and apologized. But the lady who was handling my food asked "Did you see me put the beans" Of course, not knowing about it until opening, I denied. But she started giving me passive aggressive words, being rude to myself saying , "If you were watching, you could have told me no beans when you saw me putting it in because I wouldnt have needed to put everything inside" Of course, she had rudely indirectly stated to me it wasnt her fault but mine for getting beans inside in the beginning. This was a staple of local fast food at one time. I'm pretty sure it was also a Bob's Burgers back in the day. When I'm local to my town, or heading to Downtown Fullerton, I'll stop in here and order a quick cheeseburger meal or their fried zucchini. The food hasn't changed much over the years, but prices have gone up. From $3.99 to $6.99 for the specials and while you still get a lot of fried zucchini, you don't get much ranch. Either bring your own or expect to pay extra for a small amount. Also another star down for their charge on all credit cards. It's 2017. Stop charging us to use a card at your business. If you're like me and don't carry cash, this plus the tax usually is enough to run you an extra couple bucks on each meal. The employees are all nice and cooks are really friendly. I normally love this place the service is fast and the people are nice. Today however my boyfriend and I went in to grab some breakfast before our Sunday hike and we were served expired orange juice. What makes me so mad is that it was clear whomever served the orange juice scratched the date to try and hide that the juice expired a week ago. We were surprised.. nay, SHOCKED at how delicious this burger was.. meat perfectly seasoned, thousand island tasted like they make it fresh in- house, red onions -my fav- cut thin, lettuce was crisp, tomato was ripe yet firm, cheese abundant and melty. All the produce tasted really fresh, and though it's a large burger there wasn't too much of any one thing. It was all put together just right, so you got a perfect bite no matter where you were in the burger-beginning, middle, or end. Even the bun was tasty, and toasted just enough so the bun didn't get all soggy before we had a chance to devour it! Moving along to the fries, another delish experience. Crispy but not burnt and seasoned on the outside, soft on the inside, and sooo good dipped in their house ranch mmmm .. sorry.. salivating.. Golden Ox is located about 20 feet from a strip mall that's got a pizza place, a korean bbq spot, and a few other little restaurants but trust me this is where you want to spend your $5 kids. Yes, that's right. I said $5 BUCKS!! Bang for your buck is HUGE here! Portions are large (we can never finish both the burger and fries), and the staff is super friendly. The last time we ate here we decided to stay and eat on their patio since it looked so inviting. They brought our food out to us when it was ready and even offered to get me a refill on my beverage.. Let me point out that I've eaten at the Golden Ox many times before and, up until this point, enjoyed their food. Last night, after a long day of science and math classes, I decided to end my evening with a trip to the G.O. "Can I help you?" squawked the little box next to the menu. "I'll have the Pastrami quesadilla, please. That's it!" And blah blah blah afterwards. I drive up to the window, small talk with the nice, older lady with the 50's red hair-do and then I wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. (This isn't for drama, folks. I think I waited, like, 8 minutes!) This has never changed with this location. I've always had to wait long periods of time. But, in the end it was worth it. But not this time. When I got home, I chowed down on my Pastrami quesadilla. And it tasted good. It was filled with meat, cheese, guacamole and all the things you'd find in a quesadilla. What I didn't know that it was filled with was some sort of something that would later make my stomach say to me, "why?! WHY!?!?! W H Y? ! !" as it was heaving and aching in misery. As I write this, in between bathroom breaks, I wish to thank the Golden Ox for the wonderful quesadilla. And the whatever else they gave to me that has me leaking from both ends of my body. Quite possibly the best fast food experience I have had in a long, long time. I was working on a production and needed to provide craft services to over 20 people on a short notice. The owner helped me tremendously, was extremely kind, and even gave me a deal simply for ordering ahead of time. The food tasted great, fries, onion-rings, sauces, even a few salads and vegetarian dishes. They even threw in some fried zucchini and onion rings for free!
