Drunken noodle (half eaten), it was a huge plate. That is what I took home.
    Matthew R.

Great place. I had drunken noodle, Vietnamese fish sauce chicken wings and tried the fresh pork spring rolls. Previously I have had the Vietnamese crispy spring rolls, with meat. Everything was great. Crispy rolls not pictured. This is the best drunken noodle with beef I have had in twenty years. Honestly I had given up ordering it because of prior disappointment. But it was great. Got medium spicy and may ask for hot spice level next time. The green pepper and carrot were perfectly cooked with a bit of crunch left but not raw. The beef was perfectly tender and a generous portion. The wings!! I have tried these wings wherever I can find them. These were perfectly crispy with a great carmelized fish sauce glaze. It was simple. Nothing fancy but perfectly done. Try them. Umami bomb! Not too fishy. Just flavor. Sweet, salty, crispy and juicy. The fresh spring roll was great too. I don't like when they are overstuffed with lettuce to make them look bigger. There was plenty of pork, vermicelli, cucumber and coriander (cilantro). Again, flavorful bites with the peanut sauce to round it out. The only thing I am upset about is I just found this place and it is just down the road from me.. so excited! The family that runs it is kinda and attentive. They have Chinese, Thai and added Vietnamese during covid when they took over. Everything is made with care. I tried their bahn mi on my previous visit and it was good but would go to a bahn mi place in norcross that specializes in bahn mi instead. This place is for great meals. Not just a sandwich grab. Hope you enjoy it

"It's like a consensual sexual assault on the senses." "I feel like I got hit with tear gas. Flavorful, delicious, spicy tear gas." I was first introduced to pho when I was 22 and working at a Korean law firm. For the past 11 years, pho has been my go-to meal for everything: hangover, common cold, emotional comfort. I'd not be exaggerating to estimate I've been going to different pho restaurants at least once a week for 11 years. This is the very first one where a waiter or staff member has suggested something and said "that's the way we eat it in Vietnam." Our waiter suggested a sauce mixture (the base of which is his homemade recipe) that had my husband saying the two quotes at the beginning of this review. And an additional "it's like a Vietnamese holy water, purging the demons from my sinuses" I'd highly recommend this place. We'll definitely be back - hopefully we'll get more "back in Vietnam" recommendations too! It adds so much to the experience when someone shares their passion and homeland experiences with you - it is obvious food here is cooked with love. I took the picture when we were almost done because it was so delicious, I forgot to take a picture at the beginning.

Veggie egg rolls. Fried, but not greasy. A great way to start a meal.

Great customer service! Seems like more people carry out, but we had a great dine in experience. Very welcoming, fast, and friendly service. It smells like you hope it would. You can smell the fresh seasonings, and curries cooking. We ordered the veggie egg rolls, a grilled pork Bánh Mì, and shrimp massaman curry. Everything was so fresh, not just freshly made, but also made with fresh ingredients. The egg rolls are fried, but they felt lighter than most places. The Bánh Mì had a little too much bread for me, but the massaman curry was so flavorful. Layers on layers of flavor. Overall, it was a great experience, and I can't wait to explore more of their menu. Next on the list is Tom Kha Soup.

I no longer have to travel 45 minutes to an hour if I want delicious PHO as the GOLDEN PHOENIX RESTAURANT in Buford is much closer to me than Duluth is. The menu has both THAI and CHINESE items on their menu so you can get whichever cuisine you are feeling like. The PHO is perfect and their GENERAL TSO CHICKEN is cooked to perfection with a slight crisp and spicy level that doesn't make you quit Service is always great with an extremely quiet environment, at least when I've gone over. I always see people come in for pick up but I always prefer my food eaten right away If you've never had PHO... I beg you... Please stop by and order yourself a bowl and let me know what you think!! #rolieats #goodfoods #goodeats #thaifood #chinesefood #whynotboth #pho #generaltso #ricerolls #iorderedeverything #iwasfull #noregrets

The juiciest , yummiest wings EVER!! If you don't eat wings like this . We are not friends. The sauce was really good. I tried the "Hot braise".

Our first time ordering from Golden Phoenix. The staff was friendly but I think they messed up one of our 4 dishes, the basil fried rice. There was no basil and the dish had no flavor. My favorite was the beef lo mein, tasty and I would definitely order again. Shrimp as well as beef with broccoli were both ok, nothing super wow! I will try another place next time.

Food was delicious. My kids love the lo main and the sesame chicken. Will definitely go back again.

The door was unlocked, so we walked in. A staff member told us they didn't open until 11:00 and asked us to wait outside. He also told us that we should only come in when the sign outside was lit. I completely understand that the restaurant has business hours, but it was only three minutes before opening. Also, it's summer and the sunlight is very bright, making it extremely difficult to tell whether the sign is lit or not. The three-minute wait wasn't the issue. What bothered me was the way the staff member spoke to us. It felt more like he was lecturing us than politely communicating with customers. Unfortunately, this experience was enough for us not to come back, and I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends.

We ordered at 7:15 PM, and by 7:44 PM, our food was at the door..still steaming like it had just been plated. This place closes at 9 PM, with the last delivery at 8 PM, so we were pretty impressed by the speed. We went with the General Tso's Chicken with fried rice, Shrimp Lo Mein, egg drop soup, and crab rangoon. My husband's a big fan of the General Tso's, and I get why--great portion size, great flavor, and for the price, it's a solid deal. The crab rangoon? Eh. It was like every other Chinese restaurant's crab rangoon. Nothing to write home about, but nothing to complain about either. As for me, I had the soup and lo mein. The egg drop soup was fine, but it was a little... oily? And it could've used a bit more flavor. The lo mein, though... wow. It was like someone made noodles and then forgot to season them entirely. I found myself thinking, "Okay, what can I add to this to make it not taste like cardboard?" But honestly, I wasn't in the mood to start a culinary experiment at 7:44 PM, so I just gave up and ate it anyway. All in all, 3/5 stars. Fast delivery and a solid General Tso's saved the day, but the lo mein and soup definitely need a little more love.

My partner and I decided to try Tani Thai 02.20.2026 and stopped by around 6:30PM for dinner…read more First off, the interior seemed clean and well-kept. The ambiance was dark and intimate, which I appreciated -- it gave the space a cozy, relaxed vibe that felt nice for a dinner date. The music was low and soft, which worked well since most of the tables were talking pretty loudly. It didn't feel chaotic or overstimulating, and we were still able to have a comfortable conversation. Service was decent -- we were seated quickly and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Here's what we ordered: Tiger's Tears ($15) - 3/5 This was the dish I was most excited about. It's described as grilled beef with chili-lime seasoning, onions, scallions, and sweet peppers. Unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The beef was noticeably tough, chewy, and a bit sinewy rather than tender and juicy. The chili-lime sauce was very sharp and aggressively acidic -- overwhelmingly sour to the point where it masked the savory, char-grilled flavor of the meat. It was supposed to be spicy, but as an Asian who regularly eats and enjoys spicy food, there was barely any heat at all. The dish looked vibrant and colorful, but flavor-wise it felt unbalanced and slightly one-dimensional. Basil Fried Rice with Chicken ($18) - 2.5/5 The menu labeled this as spicy as well, but again, there was zero kick. Not even a subtle warmth. It tasted like very standard, plain fried rice -- mildly seasoned, slightly oily, and lacking depth. The fresh Thai basil aroma wasn't very pronounced, and the overall flavor felt muted and underwhelming. The chicken was okay texture-wise, but the dish as a whole didn't stand out or justify the price point. It needed more heat, more fragrance, and more boldness to feel like true Thai basil fried rice. Coconut Mushroom Soup with Chicken ($5.50) - 2/5 This one was disappointing. When it first arrived, it was comforting and creamy with a light coconut aroma. Initially, it tasted balanced and mildly savory. However, as it sat and I alternated between dishes, the flavor became increasingly sour and slightly off-putting. The chicken was extremely dry, stringy, and overcooked, which made it difficult to enjoy. The broth lacked the rich, silky depth I was hoping for and ended up tasting thin, overly acidic, and somewhat flat. Thai Teas ($5.50 each) - 3.5/5 Honestly, these saved the night. Sweet, creamy, and refreshing -- exactly what you expect from a good Thai tea. Smooth, well-balanced, and flavorful. Water - 0/5 I took one sip and didn't touch it again. It tasted like straight tap water with a faint cleaning solution scent. Thankfully, we had the Thai Teas to rely on. Overall, the experience was okay but not memorable. The atmosphere and ambiance were pleasant, but the food didn't quite deliver -- especially considering how Thai cuisine is typically bold, aromatic, spicy, and layered. For us, the dishes leaned either too sour or too bland, without much balance in between. Given the prices, we were expecting more depth and stronger flavors. Not a terrible experience, but not one we'd rush back for either.

Delivery was timely, the driver tonight left the food on the doorstep even though I asked to have it handed to me. (Not the restaurant's fault) I was even masked for the handoff as per DD protocol also! When I opened the bag, a couple things were immediately noticeable. The bag had sauce dropped on it, which told me that it was either tilted en route or when initially packed. Next I saw there was one lonely packet of soy sauce for two entrees but two packs of duck sauce (I don't know who wants this sauce it's just sugar and starch). Looking through the packaging, definite order issues! I asked for an order of the Crab Rangoons (6) and opened the container and saw 4. Boooooo. Then I noticed I was missing one egg roll; and one cheesesteak roll. Disappointing, as people didn't get what they wanted. I dug in, I was hungry. It's 30 minutes later and my stomach has been turning circles and cramping. Not very excited for what I imagine will be a rough night. I very rarely write super negative reviews, and usually when I do it's because I feel something is egregiously wrong. The portions look decent, and maybe it's an off day for the person checking orders- but I haven't eaten since 2 (7 hours ago) so there was nothing else that could be the offender of my stomach. I'll pass next time and order pizza or italian.

Luxurious and cute interior space, filled with white marble and Tiffany blue tableware. Their house pickles are on the buffet and are super addictive. I eat about 3 large bowls per visit. My only complaint here is that the broths are very mild in flavor and meats aren't the highest quality --- but the value, price, cooked items selection, and sauce bar makes up for it.
