So I read a review that said this is comparable to LA donut shops and I'll have to say there was a hint of it with added Texan kolaches. This was a nice donut shop that was really close to our hotel in Hot Springs so we didn't have to travel far. When we arrived, there was a little bit of a line but it went by fast and the staff were really nice. We ordered our breakfast items and they heated up our biscuit sandwiches and sent us on our way. The biscuit sandwich was really gooe, classic biscuit, egg, cheese, and sausage for me. The biscuit was nice and fluffy and the innards were all tasty and warmed up. The donut holes were your classic glazed donut holes. The boudin kolache had a nice, flavorful boudin and a soft bread. Really all the food we got was just great and cheap. This was a nice spot to pick up a bit of breakfast for our drive back home and held up well during our trip! read more

I got the cheese and jalapeño kolache and it was barely any cheese or jalapeño. I went back in to ask about why it wasn't any in it. They told me it was in the meat. I looked and it was just specks of jalapeño and hardly any cheese. It was very dry and the bread was rubbery because my microwaved it. The flavor of the apple fritter was good, but it was pretty stale in my opinion. They microwaved it as well, but you could still tell it was older. Also, when you walk in, they don't have any pastries shoes from in the display. They were nice and the place was clean so I'll give it a 3. read more

Yum, huge fresh donuts, perfect old fashioned donuts and very tasty, what they called butters filled with spinach. Good coffee. Staff was indifferent to customers, not even a hello or thank you. This spot has ample parking and a busy accessible drive thru, I would want to see these yummies bit nice to have the drive thru. read more

Plenty of parking. Came in on a Monday at 10am, no lines and plenty of options to select from. They microwave their breakfast sandwiches for you when you order, so at least the food is hot. I didn't get to try any donuts, but the hot food is good! read more

An old man from our Airbnb kept recommending this donut shoppe to us, everyday. This morning I said, I'd give it a try. The parking is small & was difficult to find a space. Upon walking in, we saw an array of donuts. I wanted the strawberry cake donut as it is on the menu, but they didn't have it available. So I ordered, the glazed cinnamon roll; one glazed donut, jalapeno cheese kolache and regular kolache. I noticed she warmed up the kolaches, but I thought she warmed up the donuts as well. Nope, the donuts were as cold as outside. Now, who wants to eat a cold donut? Not me! The donut was hard that it didn't taste freshly made that morning. Both the cinnamon roll and donuts was extremely cold, that I had to stop eating it all together. I barely liked the kolache, the sausage has a good smoky flavor and the bread was good, the jalapeno was faint. I'm not sure what the old man sees in this donut shop, but I'll Google a different spot next time. read more

Hell yes! This place is legit. It is the closest one can get to an authentic SoCal style doughnut shop without flying to Los Angeles. One of those places the food speaks for itself. Simple trayed display, no fluffy decor, a little but of crumbs on the ground from the people who couldn't wait to take a bite. And they have lemon filled. Holy crap they have lemon filled! First off, the girl that took my order was really sweet and polite and made some recommendations and answered questions. I ordered a dozen donuts and some kolaches. I then asked about the mochas and she said they were really good and recommended them so I ordered 2. They put a ton of ice in the cups and I asked for light ice. Another lady (ended up being the owner) then tried to re-fill the cups with almost more ice. I stopped them and asked again for light ice. They filled them up half way made them and then the owner tried to charge me for almost the price of another large mocha. I asked why it was so much and she said it was because of the extra coffee. They should tell people that up front, I would have never ordered them to begin with. The owner was extremely rude and argued about the price. She took them off of my order and removed the charge. The donuts were terrific once I took them back to the AirBNB but I will never order from there again after the rip off attempt. Do better, especially if a solo size cup is already almost $5.00. Donuts, fritters, bear claws, croissant breakfast sandwiches, kolaches, oh and the donut holes with drizzled chocolate icing, of course (I always ask for extra icing) all over lppthe top of them. My favorites are theiir homemade Boudin (it also comes in spicey) and their apple fritters.!!! Now these are just a few of the items that I've personally ordered. I don't believe you can beat their prices either. Now let me tell you about their service. The couple that work and run the shop here on Park Avenue are just a precious people that work so well together. I've walked down the block a many of times, early in the morning getting my many favorites and surprising my neighbors with these scrumptious pastries. I would also get extra and knock at the doors of the 3 Airbnb units in which I managed and leave them at their doors. I realized that they were going to enjoy the pastries, but i believe I got more enjoyment out of seeing the excitement they conveyed knowing someone, in which they really didn't know had thought about them. It brought such camaraderie to everyone in which I was able to share these special treats! So so happy that Golden Raised Donuts is just a hop~ skip~ & a jump down from where I live. Randomly saw this place. Very nice woman at the window, which is more than you get from most places. Got a little of everything today: donuts, kolaches, biscuits, etc. None of it was huge, except the donuts (yay!), but it was all tasty and came pretty fast. That's all I ask from a drive-thru.
