We come here every time after we visit the Huntington Beach Dog Park. We love that they are dog friendly and so we can have a couple beers with our pup by our side. It seems like they periodically change their menu items and so we're sad to see the Brussels sprouts go but excited to try new and different items. Today we ordered fish tacos and it came with three of them. The slaw, mango pico de gallo and pickled onions were just perfection and gave the tacos this fresh delicious taste. I would only wish they had a grilled fish option for the tacos. We also ordered hatch chili hummus and the hummus was pretty tasty! Also, the pita bread was baked and not fried so it's a healthier option, which we like to have. I almost forgot to mention we were able to order a pup patty( no salt and no seasoning) for our pup, which is awesome because he's hungry after the beach. For beers we ordered mango cart mas (100% recommend it's delicious), trapdoor( my bf liked this one) and ride on the west coast IPA. We also got mango cart MAS in cans to go. I've never been the biggest fan or regular mango cart but the mango cart mas is less sweet and 8%, I love it! Service has always been 5/5 for us and we've been coming here for a few years now. There is plenty of parking. Oh and they have merch by the entrance. I saw a sign that says they have brunch on Saturdays and Sundays! Went to this brewery to get a beer and ordered a club sandwich. We were very hungry, but decided to share the sandwich and an order of fries. The sans with has a nice amount of turkey, but had one slice of bacon. We told our server about it and she said that it always comes with way more bacon. However, she did not offer to give us any solutions. No extra bacon , no kind of compensation or even a small amount taken off our tab. I feel we should have gotten some kind of compensation. Such a win to have Golden Road so close to home. This Orange County brewery has an unbeatable location in the Sunset Beach harbor. Their space overlooks the busy marina, making it a can't miss spot on your weekend itinerary. We stopped by for a beer on a Sunday after an afternoon of errands in the heat. While I've tasted a number of Golden Road's signature brews, this was my first time dining at their sunset location. Our group ordered a bit of everything and shared. My pick was their deep fried avocado tacos. Despite being fried, these tacos felt light and delicious. The breading was a fine layer, adding a little bit of crunch to this entree. Despite being close to the beach, this shopping center is also loaded with a plethora of parking spots. A true beach side gem. read more

Called ahead to make a reservation for Saturday brunch for my husband's birthday for 20 people in July. There was plenty of parking available at 10:15am. My kids immediately want to play on the outdoor climbing structure, so while my husband took them to play I checked in. Our tables were ready. We were given 2 long tables that were back to back. I probably would've preferred they be together but no biggie. I LOVE that Golden Road will do individual checks for however many people in your group! Makes it so easy to meet up with other people! Thank you!!! I was disappointed in the brunch menu. There were only 2 choices, a breakfast bagel sandwich or chilaquiles and no kids breakfast. My husband and I split the breakfast bagel sandwich and it was amazing and huge! It also came with a side of tater tots. The regular menu is available to our kids split the sliders. Mimosas come prepared, meaning you don't get to poor your own OJ into your champagne, they do it for you, so it's more on the OJ side. No Bloody Marys. We brought balloons in, no problem and they kept our cake in the refrigerator. Our server kindly placed the candles and lit them for us. We had a small view of the harbor, our server was attentive and overall we had a great brunch and would return, but probably for lunch or afternoon, not brunch unless they expand their menu. read more

Met up with former coworkers here a few Fridays ago. And it was Golden. Pun intended. For starters, unlike my last visit to the location in Anaheim, parking was easy. Followed GPS which led me to this wide open parking lot. Free. I was worried though because I didn't know exactly where this was located. There are some spots on that stretch of road that parking is horrendous. So, glad this wasn't. Service was good. I don't remember her name but she was a champ dealing with the group as everyone arrived at different times - two even arrived about an hour and a half after me. Beer was great. Food was ok. Nice open layout with seating both indoors and outdoors. Depending on which was you're facing, you have a view of the harbor. Boats mainly but off in the distance - homes. Cool spot to gather and hang. Just don't expect gourmet level food and you'll have a blast. read more

Came here after the Triumph Foundation Push to Pier volunteer event and really appreciated that they could comfortably accommodate three wheelchairs. The staff was attentive right away and made sure we were taken care of. Eric was especially great--he took time to chat with us, share details about their house beers, and made the experience feel welcoming. Service was quick, and the food came out fast. This Golden Road Brewery is located in front of Huntington Harbor public dock. I love being near the water. This brewary is very laidback and not as crowded as their other locations that I've been to. When we were there it was around sunset, all the tables near the dock was taken and the patio seating seems kinda small. We decided to sit at the bar facing the bar (sad. All seats facing the view was taken too). Nevertheless, I still enjoyed my visit. Our server was great! He let us sampled few beer before placing our order. This is the place to be on a Saturday night. Came for a casual birthday party. The food is your typical bar good (potato skins, sliders, fries, spinach artichoke dip, fish and chips, etc.) plus of course, drinks: beer on tap, long necks, sodas in thr bottle, and maybe more but those are what we had. Lots of tableside seating and of course you can sit at the bar. Plenty of TV's playing whatever game is on (this night it was the Lakers playing some other team, I don't remember who though). There's also a small playground (making it family friendly) and a deck bordering the Long Beach harbor. Goldenroad was "goldenrude." I love this spot so much and enjoyed having a casual party there a year ago. When I called to reserve it again this year, they really let me down. Not only were they not accommodating for my group of 20, they acted like they didn't want to work with me at all. I asked about using the outside area, or the bar area, and the girl I spoke to said "my group was too large for them to accommodate due to another event that same night." I understand that other events do get booked and rooms get filled, so I without a reservation, I walked in to Goldenroad at 7pm Friday, to see if I could just get seating at the bar. Not only were there plenty of chairs and tables available, but the staff member I spoke with was very rude with me. They said "why didn't you call to reserve like yesterday?" I explained to them that I had called 3 weeks ago and was told then that I could not be accommodated. They said "that's odd because I would have accommodated you." They then said it would be a 2 hour wait. I replied with "you guys close in two hours." They replied with "oh really, wow I guess so." I walked next door to another bar which not only accommodated me right away, but didn't make me feel bad for looking for a place to drink with 20 friends with no reservation. I'll probably still come back to Goldenroad for the nonalcoholic mango cart which I love, but I certainly won't with a large group again. read more

golden road brewery was super chill and a great time! it was super spacious and right by the dock, so really peaceful as well. there's a lot of seating but my friends and i chose to sit at the bar. the staff was friendly and got us our drinks pretty quickly. my friends got a michelada and a mango mas, and i got a strawberry passion fruit cart. the mango mas and the strawberry passion fruit cart taste pretty similar, with the former being on the sweeter side with a slightly higher alcohol content. i preferred my drink, since it was lighter we didn't try any food but the nachos looked huge and seemed to be a great price for $18. overall a nice brewery! read more

Came here with my family to watch the last few innings of the Dodger game. I checked Yelp for the menu before coming, but it did not match what they actually had, which was a little disappointing since some of the dishes we wanted were no longer there. That said, the place itself was really nice. Loved the view and there is a climbing structure outside that my kids had a great time on. I know it is not part of the restaurant, but still a big plus for us. That was the difference between a 3 star and the 4 star I gave. Service was great and everyone was super friendly. For food, we got the pretzel which was good, nothing crazy but solid. We also tried the blackened chicken sandwich, spicy chicken sandwich, and turkey avocado sandwich. All were good. I was not a big fan of the jalapeno bbq sauce or the sriracha aioli, but we got them on the side and just dipped. Kind of defeats the purpose of the "spicy" sandwich but it was still good plain, the slaw made up for it. The kids got the sliders. They were decent, but for eleven dollars I expected a little more. Overall not a bad experience. We will be back, maybe not with the kids next time, but definitely want to come again and see if the menu changes. read more

I always enjoy visiting the beach community of Sunset Beach and a visit to this Golden road location was just the excuse I was looking for! This is part of a larger chain operation, but still has a nice brewery feel to it. Everyone in our group was very happy with their selection of beers and all the food came out looking delicious! We were here on a weekend evening, so it was fairly busy, but still plenty of room to find seats for our group. Our server was cheerful and helpful in making selections and we enjoyed our visit very much. I wasn't quite sure about avocado tacos, but ended up enjoying them immensely. This establishment is in a beautiful Location next to the harbor in sunset beach. We had a Duffy boat ride and went here after. Large space, beautiful spot and food was descent. They messed up on one of our orders and we sent it back tithe kitchen. It took just as long to get the salad back out when we were practically finish, disappointed to say the least. Don't ever get delivery from Golden Road... I had been craving their Chimichuri Steak & Frites and what I received was a box of well done steak coated in grease as well as grease soaked fries. It was absolutely packed and there was a birthday party that was going on as well so the main section was booked out. However they got us a table anyway with just a 5 min wait. My wife and I have been going to Golden Road HB for over a year. We have enjoyed each and every visit and have often invited family and friends to join us. Obviously we love the location but beyond that I personally enjoy the openness and all the monitors televising sporting events. We each have our favorite brews and menu items but actually enjoy everything we have had. Honestly we have been disappointed with some menu items that have been removed but we still have confidence that they may return or eventually be replaced by a new item we really enjoy. Just so happened to pass by and stop by for a drink. They choose the tables for you and do table service as if it were the pandemic. I am accustomed to breweries where you get your own beers. I believe that changes after a certain time. I understand that for this limited amount of space you can't have everyone walking around. A lot of the staff were elusive and unresponsive. My boyfriend and I ordered a beer flight and poke nachos. For the flight, we tried the Citrus Seltzer, Street Cart, Mango Cart LA style, and Ride on 5 hop. I enjoyed the Ride on 5's hoppiness and how refreshing the Citrus Seltzer was. If I come back on a hot summer day that's definitely what I would order. For food, we shared the poke nachos. The poke is ahi tuna and the sriracha aioli and wasabi crema sauces provided a nice kick that was well balanced with the light wonton chips. We were really looking forward to visiting Golden Road Brewing in Huntington Beach, but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. After being seated, we waited quite a while just to receive menus. Once we finally had them, we sat for another 15 minutes without anyone coming by to take our order or even check in. As we looked around, we realized it wasn't just us -- several other tables appeared to be waiting and not receiving service either. It seemed like they may have been short staffed, but unfortunately there was no communication or acknowledgment from the staff. After waiting with no service, we decided to leave. Hoping this was just an off day because the location has great potential, but the service experience definitely needs improvement. read more

We love this place and how close it is to us! We usually come here for happy hour because their prices are good. They also have happy hour all day on Monday which is a plus. We came today for brunch and were served by Peter. He was very attentive and made our experience pleasant. Their breakfast sandwich was good (and huge!) and ended up getting a Belgian white. I used to not like beer too much but Golden Road has changed my mind. I started off with the street cart beers (always a solid option) but recently switched it to a Belgian white. We came to watch the Dodger game and enjoy the waterfront spot. Again- we made it for HH and I tried the Chata Beer- it was a Horchata & Beer baby with all the warm notes of Horchata but the balance of a well crafted pale ale. Highly recommend! For HH - you can't go wrong with the Smashburgers and half order nachos. I ordered my favorite steak tacos for dinner and was reminded just how well seasoned the steak is and what a perfect bite you get from the combination of slightly sweet yet tart pomegranate seeds and tangy hit of cheese with the acid from the lime which balances it all out. We had such a good time at Golden Road Brewing. The food was really good, which was such a nice surprise. We were most excited about trying a flight of beers so we could sample flavors that you can't buy at your local grocery store. Our server was incredibly attentive. We had such a great experience. We will definitely go back. The only funny part was we went to HB instead of Anaheim because we thought the ambiance & view would be better. We ended up being seated facing the parking lot... haha.
