Came here on a Monday and realized it was Happy Hour, what a happy surprise! I was especially excited to see the wings on the Happy Hour menu because that's usually what I come here for, along with a drink. The wings were sweet and spicy with a subtle ginger undertone and SO yummy. I also tried the michelada and chimichanga. The michelada was just okay for me, but the chimichanga was crisp and packed with flavor. I loved all the fresh toppings that came with it, gave it a nice, refreshed taste that balanced everything out. I also ordered the chicken taco paired with buttered peas from the kids' menu for my son. He wasn't a fan of the lettuce that came with it , but I actually appreciated that it came with veggies. He loved the peas. Service was also great. I'll definitely continue coming back. I also love the location being right in the shopping center. Nice view. We just had drinks. The Sunset Sangria just seemed like iced cabernet. Raspberry margarita was good. Menu said late night happy hour daily but server said that meant daily weekdays. Lol. We weren't sure about that so we asked another server who was better able to say that they no longer offer late night happy hour. Which sounded much better than saying that a menu that says daily means Monday through Friday. I'm always amazed at servers who clearly don't know what they're talking about and try to make me think I'm wrong. Something that says Monday through Friday 3:00 to 5:00 and daily after 9:00 does not mean Monday through Friday. Daily means daily which means everyday. Long overdue but here it goes! This place is simply ok. I got the nachos, and I was not a big fan of the hard as pebbles homny they added. Homny needs to be in pozole. I got a chicken sandwich and it was pretty good. Filling for sure since I couldn't finish it. My sweet potatoes were a little overcooked but it was still eatable. However their drinks selection is amazing. I got some lavender blueberry hard cider drink and it was amazing. Seriously one of the best ciders I've had in a while. Love coming to Simmzy's when I'm in the area, and this time around was another great one! Bailey was our server and she was very attentive, bubbly and kind. It was taco Tuesday so I took advantage of that, and we then overlapped with Happy Hour at 3, which was awesome! I ordered the Baja fish taco, Quesa Birria taco, and the Bacon Date pizza. Tacos were hot, fresh, and delicious. The Bacon Date pizza was very unique. Loved the thicker chunks of bacon, and the mascarpone date mix was interesting. It almost tasted like a cream cheese spread. For my drinks, I ordered the La Rosa and Raspberry margarita along with an Aztec Mule. Everything was nicely presented and refreshing. I've been to Simmzy's more times than I like to admit and every time I come here it's because of the great view. Sitting on the patio with a view of the highway, the beach and the ocean is just so relaxing when you're having a drink after a hard day at work. I think for the 50 or so times I've been here. I've only had bad service here once and that person from what I can see no longer works here My go to dishes here are the nachos, chicken wings, and little Simmzy's burger. When I get the burger, I usually order a salad with it so it's a little healthier; cause most of the time I have the nachos and we all know how unhealthy but delicious nachos are. As for drinks, I usually take the beer for breakfast Stout, which is in my opinion the best draft that is offered by the house brand I've also tried a lot of their listed drafts. Simply okay. Fine for a quick bite at lunch. The tacos are a decent size but the chicken tinga did not have much flavor to it. My friend's ahi poke tostada was more bland as well and she requested a couple lemons to help fix it up. The Qusabirria had some potential and seemed to be a menu favorite. The seasonings used just didn't fit my particular taste though. As for the beverages, the Cactus Cooler and Passionfruit Palomas were solid. Tasty enough. Being right by the beach is also nice but they could use more shading over the patio as you don't really want to eat with the sun blaring in your eyes at certain times of the day. This place is a pretty popular restaurant here in this area and is most reliable. I'm not one hundred percent sure but I think this is the longest standing restaurant in Pacific City. All other restaurants don't seem to last as long. This place fits well right by the beach because it's casual vibe and good eats. We went to this place on a Saturday evening and it had a consistent flow of patrons. You can tell when folks dining were either coming from out of town or frequent this place by what they ordered. The view of the ocean and sunset was great from where we were sitting. We ordered several tacos to try, a chimichanga and the wings. All of which were really good. Not over the top good to brag about but good enough to know that this place is your safe and consistent place. For all the things that we ordered, I would say that the dish that I was most surprised by was the chimichanga. I found this right off Huntington Beach in Pacific City. They host an amazing happy hour from 3-6; Monday-Friday. The staff were efficient and friendly. The ambiance is truly unmatched on a gorgeous and sunny day. The beach, the sun- chef's kiss. The food was pretty good considering how pricey this area was. The burger had a beautifully smoked taste. We had the Simmzy's Burger and the Billionaire burger. Both were decent (7/10), but the fries seemed a little overcooked - more similar to kettle chip texture. Additionally I had the California chicken sandwich which was yummy as well (7.5/10)! We also ordered one of each of their tacos ($3 each on Tuesday!). The Al pastor was great and had fresh pineapple in it! Second and third favorite was their carne asada and poke tostada - great flavors and decent size in my opinion (8/10 for all tacos). Been here before long time ago when Pacific City first opened but came here on Saturday for brunch. I ordered the pub scramble and asked for no cheese and no sour cream since I'm gluten free and dairy free. It was pretty good and a big portion. My complaints are that they only gave us lunch menus and we had to ask for a brunch menu (it was 11am on Saturday) and they gave us one menu for 3 people. Then my friend asked for hot sauce and they never brought it to us. We also felt like they were kinda rushing us out once we were done. Food was good and our server was nice though. Verdict: No flavor, soggy chips, dry ass chicken, like DRY! LoL We also got the Ahi Poké Tostada Ahi tuna poke, guacamole, pickled vegetables, red onion, radish, pickled ginger, lime crema, cilantro, crispy corn tortilla Verdirct: BOMB AF!! Fresh Ahi Tuna and fresh ingredients, super flavorful, super delicious. For the mains, we ordered the kids chicken tenders and fries. I ordered the Billionaire Burger and the California Chicken Sandwich. Chicken tenders were standard tenders, nothing special. Fries were the thin shoestring fries, basic. The billionaire burger looked good upon presentation, flavor was good, but the thing that ruined it for me was that the burger patty itself was made rare when I asked for medium, and the bacon was still raw inside the burger. Instantly felt sick to my stomach, and I did not finish the burger. I hate the fact that this happened because everything was going good, food-wise, until I saw the rawness of my burger and bacon. Not sure if the kitchen was having an off day or what it was, but I'm sad to be giving Simmzys 2 stars. 1 for the location and 1 for the other good food. Would I recommend this place? Was followed out by our server into the mall about his tip. He was upset we even asked for a happy hour menu, im never one to complain about service and this guy was horrible. This guy comes back and we ask for the check and stares at the tip option while most servers look away to make it less awkward. Then proceeds to stare us down while talking to himself "please be on the table" repeatedly. Again all he did was take our drink order and by the time he came back we were ready to leave. He proceeds to stare us down and then follows us out of the restaraunt to complain about a $40 tab. We explained ourselves why. And he got defensive saying we were rude even asking for a happy hour menu in the first place. Will not be back. This guy should not be working customer service AT ALL. After that we walked to go tell the manager what just happend. When we tried to go back to tell the manager, we were confronted again and it was intimidating so we gave him $10 cash and left. Not a good look, but called the manager and he was very nice so thanks for that. Food was pretty good too but who would come back to a place after that happens? read more

Stopped by around 3pm on a Sunday and there were plenty of seats inside and out. It was beautiful weather so we opted for seating outside. Service was great, Steven checked in on us occasionally. We ordered 3 fish tacos and a simmzy's burger - Steven offered to have the order halved in the kitchen and it was ideal for us as we were sharing. We added chilis to the burger and it was sooo good. The onions were caramelized and delicious. Also they serve skinny fries!! Love it. So hard to find.... The fish tacos were crispy and the aioli sauce was just enough without destroying the tortilla. The tacos were on corn tortillas that were not my favorite, that was my only complaint. We ordered 3 drinks total - two beers and a spicy watermelon margarita. Wife wanted brunch and when my wife wants brunch, you know I'm taking full advantage of this rare opportunity! I will never say no to daydrinking and boozy brunches. Only complaint was the charred edges. I love me some char, but some bits were straight up burnt which made a few bites a little acrid. Chilaquiles: Not really a big chips kinda guy, but this was actually really good. Not something I would personally order myself, but the chilaquiles were loaded. The egg was good too! Nice crispy edges and a nice orange yolk to go along with it. Blue Cheese Haystack Fries: Honestly our meal was a bit overkill with the fries since mine came with sweet potato fries, but since it was my first time here, why not? It was definitely a welcome addition once I took my first bite. Again, very rich and saucy like the burger. They're also shoestring fries which are my favorite! Cactus Cooler: A tasty cocktail, but only tasting a little bit like a Cactus Cooler. Refreshing though! Bloody Simmzy: I love bloody marys and Simmzy's is probably one of the best I've had in a very long time. The salsa verde is hands down the best part of it.
