Discovered this place after years of not coming and it did not disappoint!! First off, you are by the beach with great entertainment, how can you complain? The 1 downfall is that you can't bring in your own water. You can bring and empty water bottle but they make you dump of the liquid. Which is fine, if you offer ice water. However, they do not. You either buy a bottle or they will give you an empty cup to go to the water fountain. Really, come on. Lost a star for that for sure. Great way to listen to music by the beach. You can't beat the views or weather. You can look at their schedule for who is playing. Sat at 1pm, they offer free line dancing which is also a blast. Small dance floor but you make it work. Heritage BBQ is also the food option here which is yummy but pricey. Lines aren't as long as their SJC location either. But it's a more limited menu. This is the worst burger of my entire life. It tasted like a meatloaf patty. Without any seasoning. Really weird and gross texture. Couldn't even finish it. And the worst part is that it was $22. We were still hungry so asked for something else. They offered chicken tender but those also came out with a weird freeze dried texture. DO NOT EAT HERE. This establishment has changed 100%! What used to be a nice relaxing beach ambience with music has been renovated into a full swing Gilly's Texas honky-tonk on the beach. The country music is fine. The line dancing is fine, all has been changed to a nightclub ambience. The Adirondack chairs have been removed, charging a $250 deposit for fire pit reservation. Advertise new food and a chef, charging approximately $26 per menu entrée, which is all pre-prepared food. Tepid temperatures, over indulge on the liquid smoke to create barbecue effect. Chicken undercooked, was pink and uneditable! And a tip is expected for them to package up the pre-prepared food. It was delivered quickly within 10 minutes. Not at all handicap, friendly. Restrooms are the same beach restrooms, unkept, urine soaked ground. What used to be a relaxing Sunday every summer will no longer be . Looking for new digs to relax enjoy the music and the beach that is family friendly without an environment that invites over drinking, and all that comes with it. read more

Great place to visit while at the beach (Bolsa Chica State Beach). I would have given this place 5 stars but the prices are slightly too high (paid $30 for two tall cans of Modelo). Overall, it's a great recreational place to buy: food, drinks, enjoy a fire, play outside games, and see live entertainment. Here is my breakdown: Customer Service 3/5 Nice people but very slow service. The employees here are friendly and attentive but the service is extremely slow. It took me over an hr. to get my order which is ridiculous considering the high prices. Food & Libations 3/5 Don't get me wrong, the food here is good tasting and flavorful but it's overpriced. I tried the avocado burger and it was a normal burger with avocado priced at $13.00. I personally don't mind buying a $15.00 burger when I visit a well established restaurant but this burger was almost this much and wasn't anything special. The alcoholic drinks here are super expensive! $15.00 for a tall can when you can go to a gas station and pick up a three pack for less than $10.00. They are clearly taking advantage of their liquor license on the beach. The alcohol here is more expensive than buying most food items on their menu. Outside Seating 5/5 The area is well kept and they have plenty of outdoor seating on their patio. They have an area with giant beer pong cups which I thought was neat (not sure if you have to rent the ball). They also have a bean bag toss (not sure if you have to rent the bean bags). There are restrooms here as well which is nice especially if you plan on drinking. Entertainment 5/5 They have a variety of live artists/bands playing here throughout the day which is great while enjoying food or drink. Most of the artists I heard were all very good and I really enjoyed the vibe here. They also have a couple of bonfires that you can rent ($75.00 for a pit that includes wood). We rented a pit and it was great, especially toward the evening when it starts getting cold. Improvement I think this is a great spot with a great location. I would improve pricing on both food and drinks. In example, I would lower the cost of tall cans to $10.00 each since the price is decent and yet still high enough to keep all the riff raft out. As far as food, I would add more items to the menu that are less expensive. read more

I've been to Sea Salt to watch a band before and it was so fun that we just had my daughter's 9th birthday party here. Management and staff were so easy to work with and made the event so stress-free that I actually got to have fun hosting for once! You can't beat the location right on the beach with live music but the food was amazing and we loved that the venue was both kid and dog friendly. It was such a great time and everyone had a blast. So much so that one of my friends who attended the party is now having her daughter's grad party at Sea Salt. Love it! We will definitely be here a lot this summer! read more

This is such an amazing live entertainment venue! On Saturdays they always have a great band playing for free. You're right on the sand with an amazing ocean view and they serve adult beverages and simple food. It's pretty much a serve yourself, spot unless I guess you book a VIP table which we didn't. When we went, it got extremely packed, so I recommend you get there early and Uber or bicycle in because parking is limited. Definitely a go to, but it is seasonal and you should check to make sure they're open. read more

There was no line when I came.. I ordered a cup of wine, cheeseburger and fries. The fries come separate, there's no combo deal. It came out to $21 dollars for that which I thought was ridiculous. Even more ridiculous, is that they have one of those pos systems that asks if you would like to tip. I'm ordering standing up and you don't even look happy, what the hell am I tipping for? Anyways, after paying all that I picked no tip, so let's hope there isn't a surprise charge on my card later. When I got my food later, the burger was surprisingly good. They used spinach in the burger, not wimpy romaine or iceberg lettuce. The beef patty was juicy. I really wanted to hate this place but the burger was legit. The fries were decent. They had the thick fries, not shoestring fries. The cup of wine that I paid $7 for was kinda pathetic.. If the prices weren't so bad, I would give more stars and come here regularly, but wouldn't pay $7 for their tiny cup of wine. Surprised to find them open, but it was a happy surprise. My first time at this location and it didn't disappoint. Decent selection of cAnnsd wines, lol. Porch Pounder brand, gotta love the name. And Salty Brew on tap (my date had it). We shared the buffalo wings which were yummy. They had a few different choices besides buffalo. Then I had one of their burgers which was quite tasty. This is a nice place to stop by if you're on the boardwalk bike path. It is difficult to access otherwise especially if you're driving in the car unless you pay for parking and then walk. However this place is pretty fun they have a stage for live music and plenty of seats under the sun. I enjoyed the big stick drink because it came with a whole popsicle and their sweet potato fries were crispy and tasty. read more

I was really stoked to see Offspring here, the photos looked amazing. But quite disappointed. Their website says they have accommodations if needed, with seating. But when I got there and asked about it, they said no not really. They had picnic tables that were first come first serve. And away from view of the concert. Good thing I brought a blanket. I can't stand for the entire show. So I didn't mind sitting in the sand, it just would have been nice to have an area that was accessible. Instead I got to look at all the butts in front of me. They could have seating, cause they had an entire area sectioned off with seating. And another area roped off on the other side. The concert was awesome. But the venue do better. read more

This review is the for the outdoor experience only. We brought our kids to the beach for the day and thought this place would be fun to sit and eat while enjoying g some fun music. We scored some good seats in the sun and ordered our food. As soon as the music started our 6yo and 8yo kids were introduced to every swear word in the book. Unacceptable! When did we as a society determine that amplified f-bombs every other word is ok in public places. I've lived in HB for 43 years and this was one of the most shameful representations of our beach community I've seen in a while. We chose Bolsa Chica, because it wasn't Main St. Guess we'll take our beach experience to Seal Beach next time. Next review will be on the food. read more
