I usually don't go to breweries because I'm not the biggest beer drinker, but if a place has other drinks besides beer, I'm always down to check it out. Came here the other day with some friends for drinks and food and honestly, it was such a good time. I really love the open concept here, especially the outdoor seating area. There's plenty of tables and open space, which makes it perfect for hanging out with friends and family. It's also super kid friendly since there's room for them to run around and burn off all that energy while everyone relaxes. But be sure to dress warm cause it definitely gets chilly at night . I got their Levy Lemonade and wow... I was actually surprised by how good it was. It has lavender in it, but the flavor wasn't overpowering at all, which I personally loved. The drink was refreshing, smooth, and not too sweet or bitter , just perfectly balanced. We also ordered the chicken wings and they were really good. I do wish they let you do half-and-half flavors because the lemon pepper was VERY lemony but still super tasty. The woman helping us at the register was really friendly and helpful when it came to recommending drinks. Honestly, the whole staff was welcoming and nice, which made the experience even better I can already tell this is going to become one of my regular spots. Thank you Green Cheek Beer Co. for such a fun experience !!! I'll definitely be back soon

Loving their pet friendly patio! The burger was delicious just not shareable , perfect size for your own belly! We order to share a Cobb salad pretty good size to share! Parking could be hard to find!

Updating my review because the owner, Brian, reached out personally after reading about our experience. He apologized, refunded our meal, and even sent us a gift card to give Green Cheek another chance. That level of customer service is so rare these days and speaks volumes about how much they care about their customers. While our original visit was disappointing, I really appreciate a business that takes accountability and makes things right instead of brushing concerns aside. Because of how they handled everything afterward, I'm happy to update my review to five stars and I'm looking forward to coming back and giving them another try. Thank you Brian and your team

Green Cheek in Costa Mesa is a lovely brewery that serves amazing food. It's located behind the busy area of The Camp in Costa Mesa. They have a small parking area, but it was difficult finding a spot around there in general. The service is pretty good. When I asked for recommendations, the person taking my order did a great job sharing some of their preferences. I ordered the 12 piece wings for $12. The lemon pepper flavor was solid. It came with ranch and ketchup, which really elevated the experience with different flavors from every bite. I also tried the $14 Buffalo chicken sandwich. The size was good and it came with a delicious side of fries. However, in terms of protein, I think I prefer the chicken wings. I loved how family and pet friendly this place was. They have plenty of indoor seating and an outdoor area filled with long tables. Water, napkins, and some utensils are self serve. Overall, Green Cheek offers affordable and delicious food. It's a perfect hang-out spot and is now my go-to for chicken wings.

Been to this place a few times and finally getting around to reviewing it. If you are looking for a good pint and eats with a chill vibe, this is it in Costa Mesa. You'll walk in and be greeted by a friendly staff. Check out their menu and options, walk up, order, and get your buzzer. Head on out to the patio area, where there are plenty of seats. If you want to stay indoors, there are areas for that as well. Great place to catch up with friends and vibe out. Food: Love the tater tots here. Burger is great too. Hard to go wrong when you have a good pint to wash it down. Pineapple slushie marg is pretty darn good. I would recommend that on a hot day. Parking is a bit tricky here, so heads up on that. They do have a lot, but most likely, you'll do street parking and venture over. It's best anyway because it'll force you to walk off your food and booze. Swing on in for a delicious bite and pint. It's a good time here.

We came here on Valentine's Day and had such a great time overall! arking was absolutely atrocious (especially on a holiday), but once we got inside, everything was worth it. The space is very spacious. They have outdoor seating with patio heaters. the drinks were yummy. I'm not a beer person but the paloma and flying south were good. it was very affordable and the best way to end the night.

Lavy Lemonade and Pierre's Paloma

Came here after visiting a nearby speakeasy and the drinks here were a great way to end the night. I'm not big on beers (which is crazy to say since this is a brewery), but I really enjoyed the seltzers here -- they were super cheap, $5-7. I tried and loved the Pierre's Paloma seltzer (16 oz), which was big but nice size! It was sweet and easy to drink. The Lavy Lemonade was delicious too. How it works: You order at the counter and you can keep the tab open if you'd like. Since I just got one drink, the service was very fast. There were a lot of tables when I went on a Saturday night (both inside and outside). I'd come back to get the Paloma again and even try the food.

How did I not know about this place earlier? The vibe here is awesome: chill, fun, spacious with indoor and outdoor seatings. Drinks were good (love my refreshing pineapple slushie magarita) and reasonably priced. Did not expect much from brewery food but it was surprisingly decent. I'd love to come back to try their popular burgers and tater tots. Staff was helpful and friendly. Aside from their small parking lot, you can find street parkings, or park at The Camp right next door. Highly recommend!

Happened upon Green Cheek Beer Co. while in the area with a group of friends. We wished we had found this place earlier in our evening as we would have loved to stay longer. The huge outdoor seating area was lively and allowed for groups to mingle together while sharing the long picnic tables. The variety of beer they offer met the needs of everyone on our party! Then the food was fantastic, which isn't always the case at other breweries we have tried. I'm mad at myself for not snapping a photo of all of our food we ordered before everyone started eating so all I got was the German Pretzel photo. Aside from our pints, we had a German Pretzel with yummy cheese sauce, perfectly cooked. Not crunchy or dry but soft and easy to pull apart to share. An order of Cheeky Style Tots, my #1 favorite. The perfect amount of cheese sauce, grilled onions and bacon bits in every mouthful. Lastly a few of us shared the Cajun Chicken Sandwich. Large juicy chicken breast, nicely seasoned with fresh ingredients on a soft roll was so satisfying as well. I love a place that takes pride in not only the beer they brew but the food they offer to accompany it. This place was fun, memorable and I plan to visit again with friends.

The food is really good here. Usually brewery food is not that great but the smash burger and turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich was worth it. They always have guest beers and really great beers on tap. I ordered a N/A beer since I took a month off drinking which was awesome they offered that. Service may take some time cause it's always packed. Definitely one of the best breweries around OC

Do they have a full bar?

Not a full bar, but they have hard seltzers, cider and wine too. They make slushies out of seltzers as well

They have plenty of tvs tuned to sports. I bet they'd tune it in for you.

Do you have board games?

The games I've seen there have been brought in by customers.

As of 2021, do you allow dogs outside?

Hello. As long as there is a patio the Health Department allows us to have dogs outside. So at our Costa Mesa location we currently allow dogs. Also our Orange location allows dogs since it is only a tasting room.…

Love your smash burger!! Would I be able to substitute the bun for a lettuce wrap burger?

Do they have tvs outside?

They do not have TVs outside (April 2021) but there are some inside.

Excellent beer...But why can I bring my dog into Crack Shack, but I can't bring my dog into Green Cheek?!

Because Crack Shack doesn't care about Health Department rules and Green Cheek does.

So how is their stout, like the coconut stout?

Better! They're using real toasted coconut instead of an extract. The flavor is incredible. Can't wait to pick up a crowler for quarantine!

Is this business dog friendly?

The Health Department classify's Green Cheek as a restaurant and therefore we are bound by their regulations. Unfortunately we are not allowed to have any animals within our Costa Mesa location. Our Orange location happily allows dogs. Thanks for…

The salad didn't taste fresh, the new dressing was not good, and the entire meal felt like it was thrown together without much care. The service was just as disappointing. We waited an extremely long time for our food, and there was very little communication or sense of urgency from the staff. Despite the long wait, the food came out looking rushed and poorly prepared, which made the experience even more frustrating. To top it off, the ice cream was already melted by the time we received it, which only added to the feeling that quality and attention to detail are no longer a priority. It's disappointing to see a restaurant that I used to enjoy decline so much in both food quality and customer service. Based on this visit, I don't see myself returning anytime soon.

They do have them where I'm at in Las Vegas, but I have yet to visit any of those establishments. I was super hungry and thought I want to go try that rib sandwich. Place is easy to find right off 17th Street. You really can't miss it with that big sign. And the building is definitely unique as well so you shouldn't have any problem finding it Inside you can either choose to go digital and and skip talking to a real person. I'm old school, I actually like engaging with people. So I went to the counter. I ordered the rib sandwich without looking, and was a little shocked by the total. The sandwich itself is 15 bucks, I ordered a small fry which was $4.50, and a small drink which was $4. With a 15% tip my total came out to $28. Definitely a little shell-shocked by that. Now let's talk about the sandwich. It came to the table and at first glance it looked very small. When I picked it up there was a very generous portion of rib meat inside like a big chunk of rib meat. Huge pickles and a lot of sauce. It was a great sandwich. Do not get me wrong, what I ordered again? Maybe. They don't really have a meal deal that includes fries and a drink so it's sort of all a la carte. Now let's talk about the taste. The fries were perfectly cooked, and the sandwich itself was a solid 10. That being said, I would definitely feel more comfortable paying $12 for this sandwich, as I think 15 is a little exuberant. And you don't really get that many fries for $4.50. I can't imagine what the meal deal would have been, but I'm sure people would absolutely balk at that price. I would have given it a five-star review, but that is way too much for that sandwich. As delicious as it was, I just don't feel right spending that much for a sandwich. If it could be reworked, and the price dropped down I would be all in in a heartbeat. Bottom line? If you've been wanting to try it, I say go ahead. Just be warned that you could be unpleasantly surprised unless you know what the prices are you're getting into.
