Green Cheek is a great place to spend your time, definitely one of the highlights in the surrounding area. The lot itself is pretty big, especially for being in this part of Costa Mesa. It has plenty of indoor seating, with even more picnic table/bench style seating outside. I love coming here in the summer when the sun is setting and the warm air starts to settle, peak experience. The service is fast and friendly, whether you're going togo or dining in, they are always great. Whenever I have questions regarding the beer selection, they always have an answer waiting. Speaking of beers, they have plenty of house made brews as well as some local and unique offerings. I tend to gravitate to seltzers or lighter beers and they plenty of choices for me to grab. I love the Lavy Lemonade, Flying South, Like Super Profound, and the New Adventures: Nitro. Their menu does change so please make sure to check what they have avoided when you go. The Like Super Profound was a Japanese beer, light but great taste, and the Nitro was smooth. I don't doubt anything on their menu currently is not worth trying while you're there. The food is also great, the pretzel, and wings hit the spot for me and my girlfriend as an appetizer for a movie while we sat and drank waiting for the start time. The chicken sandwich was hot and crispy, on the smaller side but good nonetheless. The tots, regular or loaded are just chefs kiss, always crispy, must order if you are there. read more

This place holds a special place in my heart in that I look forward to the food more than the beers haha. Not say the beer is bad, their selection is pretty solid actually. It's just their food is that great. However, to be honest, the only food items I've had are the classic double smash burger and tater tots (plain or cheeky style). I'm normally one to try everything on the menu, but this burger was just one of those items where I'd be incredibly disappointed if those other items could not contend with the burger. Now beyond the food and drinks, the service is pretty efficient and the staff is welcoming. Combined with a large outdoor space and cozy indoor space, this place has always been cheeky go to after work. I've enjoyed Evan's beer since way back at that other brewery he worked at. I was excited when they opened the first Green Cheek in Orange and then we had to visit this one too! This was has the same amazing beer as the first but they also have some fantastic food.. like Smash burgers. We arrived early on a Friday evening and got in line to order a flight and a smash burgers. There was an only a few people in front of us and the line moved quickly. Our food was ready in a timely manner and was served up hot and fresh. The beers, of course, were fantastic as always. The only negative about this place is the parking. There's not a lot of parking in the parking lot and it's just very limited parking around the area. It was my first time here and I ordered the Cobb salad and it was really delicious and a great size for the price! The ambience of this place is super fun. Came here the other day with some friends for drinks and food and honestly, it was such a good time. I really love the open concept here, especially the outdoor seating area. There's plenty of tables and open space, which makes it perfect for hanging out with friends and family. It's also super kid friendly since there's room for them to run around and burn off all that energy while everyone relaxes. But be sure to dress warm cause it definitely gets chilly at night . I got their Levy Lemonade and wow... I was actually surprised by how good it was. It has lavender in it, but the flavor wasn't overpowering at all, which I personally loved. The drink was refreshing, smooth, and not too sweet or bitter , just perfectly balanced. We also ordered the chicken wings and they were really good. I do wish they let you do half-and-half flavors because the lemon pepper was VERY lemony but still super tasty. The woman helping us at the register was really friendly and helpful when it came to recommending drinks. Honestly, the whole staff was welcoming and nice, which made the experience even better I can already tell this is going to become one of my regular spots. I had the chance to meet up with some friends here after work, and it turned out to be a great spot to unwind. Parking was easy with both a dedicated lot and street parking available. Most of the seating is outdoors with picnic style tables covered by canopies, making it a comfortable place to hang out, especially when the weather is nice. Ordering is simple, you go inside to place your order, and when your food is ready, they give you a buzzer so you can come back in to pick it up. They also have self-serve water dispensers, which is a nice touch if you need a refill. The food menu offers a good variety. I ordered the turkey and avocado sandwich with fries, and it was a satisfying meal. I'm not much of a beer drinker myself, but my friends really enjoyed the selection of ales and hard seltzers. One thing I appreciated was the atmosphere. Even with a good crowd, the noise level was low enough that everyone could comfortably carry on a conversation without shouting. Parking is pretty nightmarish because it's right by the Camp and the Anti-Mall so be prepared to stalk someone walking to their car; they have their own lot, but she fills up quick (it cleared up around 9pm on a Wednesday, but also... it's a Wednesday night so liiike). The outdoor patio area comes in clutch for get-togethers with larger groups. We were able to reserve 2 tables for after work and I love that music isn't blasting at max volume so you can actually talk to each other without having to yell. There were also babies and doggos, so it's a spot for anyone and everyone. I had the Lavy Lemonade seltzer and I would rec (comes in 10 oz or 16oz, with the latter only being $7.50). Also sneaked some of my coworker's pretzel that came with cheese and mustard to dip - that was yumm and definitely a shareable size. CM location sucks. Smash burgers are good and that's it. Orange location is way better. Every time we come here the staff acts like you are bothering them and this is at times when it's not that busy. They go out of the way to say dogs not allowed inside when we have seen people here with dogs inside before. So I guess special rules for regulars?? If you are going to have a policy, be consistent about it. Synth has way better staff and beers IMO. Even Salty Bear has nicer staff and that's not a high bar. read more

Went here for drinks on a Friday around lunch and it was pretty packed. The atmosphere was pleasant overall. It's a smaller brewery in terms of size, so there wasn't much indoor seating, but they make up for it with a large outdoor seating area in the parking lot, which was a nice bonus. I can't remember the exact beer I ordered, but it was a light, fruity, crisp beer that I enjoyed. In terms of variety, the brewery seemed to focus more on lighter and hoppier beers. There weren't many IPA options or darker beers available. The smash burgers were delicious. I ordered the original smash burger and it definitely did not disappoint. I feel like a lot of places offer smash burgers nowadays but don't execute them well -- either you can't taste the beef or they overload it with cheese and sauce. Here, everything felt balanced. The beef had a great grilled crispiness to it, and the flavors all came through nicely. The tater tots were also really good, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Parking can be a bit difficult. They share a small lot with other businesses, so it fills up quickly. Green Cheek in Costa Mesa is a lovely brewery that serves amazing food. It's located behind the busy area of The Camp in Costa Mesa. They have a small parking area, but it was difficult finding a spot around there in general. The service is pretty good. When I asked for recommendations, the person taking my order did a great job sharing some of their preferences. I ordered the 12 piece wings for $12. The lemon pepper flavor was solid. It came with ranch and ketchup, which really elevated the experience with different flavors from every bite. I also tried the $14 Buffalo chicken sandwich. The size was good and it came with a delicious side of fries. However, in terms of protein, I think I prefer the chicken wings. I loved how family and pet friendly this place was. You'll walk in and be greeted by a friendly staff. Check out their menu and options, walk up, order, and get your buzzer. Head on out to the patio area, where there are plenty of seats. If you want to stay indoors, there are areas for that as well. Great place to catch up with friends and vibe out. Food: Love the tater tots here. Burger is great too. Hard to go wrong when you have a good pint to wash it down. Pineapple slushie marg is pretty darn good. I would recommend that on a hot day. Parking is a bit tricky here, so heads up on that. They do have a lot, but most likely, you'll do street parking and venture over. It's best anyway because it'll force you to walk off your food and booze. Swing on in for a delicious bite and pint. Even though I am not a beer drinker at all, I enjoy coming here with friends for the food, seltzers, and atmosphere. The burgers, fries, and tots are delicious! Happened upon Green Cheek Beer Co. while in the area with a group of friends. We wished we had found this place earlier in our evening as we would have loved to stay longer. Then the food was fantastic, which isn't always the case at other breweries we have tried. I'm mad at myself for not snapping a photo of all of our food we ordered before everyone started eating so all I got was the German Pretzel photo. Aside from our pints, we had a German Pretzel with yummy cheese sauce, perfectly cooked. Not crunchy or dry but soft and easy to pull apart to share. An order of Cheeky Style Tots, my #1 favorite. The perfect amount of cheese sauce, grilled onions and bacon bits in every mouthful. Lastly a few of us shared the Cajun Chicken Sandwich. Large juicy chicken breast, nicely seasoned with fresh ingredients on a soft roll was so satisfying as well. The lavender lemonade & paloma seltzers are our go-to's because they're light, refreshing, and not too bloating - also can't beat the price $6/16 oz glass or $14 for a 4-pack! The smashburger is a MUST! Best brewery food we've ever tried because the double patty melts in your mouth and bun is soft, airy like a brioche bun. I think it would compliment well with pickles but that's just a personal preference. There's a nice outdoor area with shading. The ambience is casual and family/pet-friendly!
