I've enjoyed Evan's beer since way back at that other brewery he worked at. I was excited when they opened the first Green Cheek in Orange and then we had to visit this one too! This was has the same amazing beer as the first but they also have some fantastic food.. like Smash burgers. We arrived early on a Friday evening and got in line to order a flight and a smash burgers. There was an only a few people in front of us and the line moved quickly. Our food was ready in a timely manner and was served up hot and fresh. The beers, of course, were fantastic as always. This was our second time at this location and the food and service were just as good as the first visit. We'll definitely be back when we're in Costa Mesa again.

The only negative about this place is the parking. There's not a lot of parking in the parking lot and it's just very limited parking around the area. It was my first time here and I ordered the Cobb salad and it was really delicious and a great size for the price! The ambience of this place is super fun. I met up with some other moms and we sat outside and it was really awesome! Service was great and our food came out really quickly. Lots of seating outside and some seating inside. Just a fun place to be!

Some of the best IPAS around !!!! While visiting from Vegas we love to stop in and get a beer flight and food . It is counter service so they give you a buzzer and you go pick up your food . The service is always fast and friendly. The double smash burger is the best !!! They also have vegetarian options . Also the Fish Bowl of Youth was awesome a 15% seltzer - heck yeah !!!!

There's a great selection of beers and hard seltzers to choose from. We only ordered the fries this time, but they were crispy and good. I loved the overall theme and design of the brewery, it has a fun, welcoming atmosphere. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit inside this visit, and it felt spacious and comfortable.

I usually don't go to breweries because I'm not the biggest beer drinker, but if a place has other drinks besides beer, I'm always down to check it out. Came here the other day with some friends for drinks and food and honestly, it was such a good time. I really love the open concept here, especially the outdoor seating area. There's plenty of tables and open space, which makes it perfect for hanging out with friends and family. It's also super kid friendly since there's room for them to run around and burn off all that energy while everyone relaxes. But be sure to dress warm cause it definitely gets chilly at night . I got their Levy Lemonade and wow... I was actually surprised by how good it was. It has lavender in it, but the flavor wasn't overpowering at all, which I personally loved. The drink was refreshing, smooth, and not too sweet or bitter , just perfectly balanced. We also ordered the chicken wings and they were really good. I do wish they let you do half-and-half flavors because the lemon pepper was VERY lemony but still super tasty. The woman helping us at the register was really friendly and helpful when it came to recommending drinks. Honestly, the whole staff was welcoming and nice, which made the experience even better I can already tell this is going to become one of my regular spots. Thank you Green Cheek Beer Co. for such a fun experience !!! I'll definitely be back soon

Loving their pet friendly patio! The burger was delicious just not shareable , perfect size for your own belly! We order to share a Cobb salad pretty good size to share! Parking could be hard to find!

Updating my review because the owner, Brian, reached out personally after reading about our experience. He apologized, refunded our meal, and even sent us a gift card to give Green Cheek another chance. That level of customer service is so rare these days and speaks volumes about how much they care about their customers. While our original visit was disappointing, I really appreciate a business that takes accountability and makes things right instead of brushing concerns aside. Because of how they handled everything afterward, I'm happy to update my review to five stars and I'm looking forward to coming back and giving them another try. Thank you Brian and your team

Green Cheek in Costa Mesa is a lovely brewery that serves amazing food. It's located behind the busy area of The Camp in Costa Mesa. They have a small parking area, but it was difficult finding a spot around there in general. The service is pretty good. When I asked for recommendations, the person taking my order did a great job sharing some of their preferences. I ordered the 12 piece wings for $12. The lemon pepper flavor was solid. It came with ranch and ketchup, which really elevated the experience with different flavors from every bite. I also tried the $14 Buffalo chicken sandwich. The size was good and it came with a delicious side of fries. However, in terms of protein, I think I prefer the chicken wings. I loved how family and pet friendly this place was. They have plenty of indoor seating and an outdoor area filled with long tables. Water, napkins, and some utensils are self serve. Overall, Green Cheek offers affordable and delicious food. It's a perfect hang-out spot and is now my go-to for chicken wings.

Been to this place a few times and finally getting around to reviewing it. If you are looking for a good pint and eats with a chill vibe, this is it in Costa Mesa. You'll walk in and be greeted by a friendly staff. Check out their menu and options, walk up, order, and get your buzzer. Head on out to the patio area, where there are plenty of seats. If you want to stay indoors, there are areas for that as well. Great place to catch up with friends and vibe out. Food: Love the tater tots here. Burger is great too. Hard to go wrong when you have a good pint to wash it down. Pineapple slushie marg is pretty darn good. I would recommend that on a hot day. Parking is a bit tricky here, so heads up on that. They do have a lot, but most likely, you'll do street parking and venture over. It's best anyway because it'll force you to walk off your food and booze. Swing on in for a delicious bite and pint. It's a good time here.

Do they have a full bar?

Not a full bar, but they have hard seltzers, cider and wine too. They make slushies out of seltzers as well

As of 2021, do you allow dogs outside?

They do not have TVs outside (April 2021) but there are some inside.

Excellent beer...But why can I bring my dog into Crack Shack, but I can't bring my dog into Green Cheek?!

Because Crack Shack doesn't care about Health Department rules and Green Cheek does.

So how is their stout, like the coconut stout?

Better! They're using real toasted coconut instead of an extract. The flavor is incredible. Can't wait to pick up a crowler for quarantine!

Seating options include about ten tables inside, a long table along the front window with a bunch of chairs, and a patio with quite a few tables, but no umbrellas and not much shade depending on the time of day. I sat at the front window and enjoyed the view. The air conditioning was nice and chilly. They had good 1970s and 1980s music playing inside. I walked up to the register, placed my order, and it was delivered to where I was sitting about ten minutes later. I had the Oklahoma smash burger (double smash patty, cheese, sliced onions, special sauce, potato bun, $12.99). It was good, but it was a little bit on the bland side. It was an average sized smash burger, there were plenty of onions, and the bun was fresh. The flavor just didn't give me the "wow factor" I usually get from a great smash burger. I also had a side of onion rings ($6.99). These were great, with a good crisp and the perfect amount of batter. It was a good serving size also. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly. They are a little on the expensive side, as I've had way better smash burgers for much less. If I could give half stars, I would give 3.5 stars. I'll round it up to four stars since the onion rings were excellent, and I enjoyed the view even though it was just of Newport Blvd.

If you go just down the block to Flower Child the manager is the one working at the counter handing our orders, or delivering orders to tables and interacting with the guests. Never saw him use a laptop but I'm certain he does. But the manager said goodbye to us as we left. A chicken sandwich with chicken and cole slaw was made with chicken that we very flat and hard, and had no real taste at all. I think we've been trained to get all our flavor from sauces - they had lots of sauces available and brought them to the table on request. A basket of sweat potato fried was undercooked and too soft. Not so good even with salt and lots of sauces. Of course we didn't eat the signature burger....that's what The Stand is known for...so we didn't really give them a chance for their home run. They do have them where I'm at in Las Vegas, but I have yet to visit any of those establishments. I was super hungry and thought I want to go try that rib sandwich. Place is easy to find right off 17th Street. You really can't miss it with that big sign. And the building is definitely unique as well so you shouldn't have any problem finding it Inside you can either choose to go digital and and skip talking to a real person. I'm old school, I actually like engaging with people. So I went to the counter. I ordered the rib sandwich without looking, and was a little shocked by the total. The sandwich itself is 15 bucks, I ordered a small fry which was $4.50, and a small drink which was $4. With a 15% tip my total came out to $28. Definitely a little shell-shocked by that. Now let's talk about the sandwich. It came to the table and at first glance it looked very small. When I picked it up there was a very generous portion of rib meat inside like a big chunk of rib meat. Huge pickles and a lot of sauce. It was a great sandwich. Do not get me wrong, what I ordered again? Maybe. They don't really have a meal deal that includes fries and a drink so it's sort of all a la carte. Now let's talk about the taste. The fries were perfectly cooked, and the sandwich itself was a solid 10. That being said, I would definitely feel more comfortable paying $12 for this sandwich, as I think 15 is a little exuberant. And you don't really get that many fries for $4.50. I can't imagine what the meal deal would have been, but I'm sure people would absolutely balk at that price. I would have given it a five-star review, but that is way too much for that sandwich. As delicious as it was, I just don't feel right spending that much for a sandwich. If it could be reworked, and the price dropped down I would be all in in a heartbeat. Bottom line? If you've been wanting to try it, I say go ahead. Just be warned that you could be unpleasantly surprised unless you know what the prices are you're getting into.
