Easily obsessed with this place now. We've only gone once, but we love it. We were heading back to LA from doing something in Long Beach, and wanted to stop and have a drink somewhere quick. This place popped up, and it was happy hour. So we thought why not. We got lucky and found parking close (rare for that street). And walked over and immediately loved the vibe. We walked in and were greeted immediately, and then brought upstairs. The decor on the way up was awesome. The old school nature, with paintings and abstract vintage pieces.. love. It felt like we were in an old industrial building. We were surprised that it was pretty empty when we got up there. We sat at the bar, and love the decor upstairs too. There's a view of the street from up there as well that's beautiful. The bartender greeted us fairly quickly, and we each ordered a speciality cocktail on their happy hour. Both were delicious. I will say that the prices are a bit steep for me. Very glad we came during the happy hour. But really want to return to try the food and more drinks. Maybe on a special date night out! read more

I hadn't been in a while and didn't realize the rooftop was no longer open and communal seating and I had planned to have 8 people in my party AND it was the night of the Snoop concert so needless to say- almost everything was reserved. One of the women (I missed her name but I believe her birthday is today) working there helped me find seating for my party. She was gracious enough even with there being little to no wiggle room- so shout out to her. Our servers were great, appetizers came out hot and delicious. Why is always so hard trying to find someplace to eat when there's loads of restaurants literally around you. Same thing each time, never figuring out what to eat and where to go. Tell me to meet you somewhere and I'll be there. Simple as that and less stress for me. Anyways, that's how we ended up at this place. Trying to find happy hour with food in the area was somewhat a challenge. Either they were finishing up or it wasn't that interesting on the menu. Of course some places offered amazing drink deals but no food. We ended up here actually across the street still looking up for places but the rooftop patio was what caught our attention. The restaurant itself looked bare as there was no one inside. Still on the early side but noticing people going in and then heading up stairs. After a few debates on here and there, we gave up and found our way here. Checked in with the host, letting him know that we just wanted happy hour upstairs. It was about two flights of stairs which the place looked quite industrial with all the metal beams and stairs. Downstairs was beautiful but completely emptied. Everyone wanted to utilize the rooftop patio as it was beautiful out. We were greeted by someone which mentioned to us that any bar seating was available. There was a section towards the back that was pretty lively. I think it was booked for a group. Instead of the bar area, we asked to sit along the rooftop counter that looks out to the street and building across the street. Way better view and perfect way to spend the afternoon hours. Staff were all pretty sweet and very friendly. Whatever we needed they were they to help. Both the regular menu and happy hour menu were quite impressive. As we just wanted HH, it was given. They had drink special for 10.00 and small bites for 10.00 as well. Didn't hesitate and started off with some drinks. The red sangria with mixed fruits was a nice clean and refreshing treat. Tasteful without that aftertaste. And the Le Pistolet Fumant, a delectable tasty drink with mezcal with a hint of pineapple. And other well drink that was perfect for a nice afternoon. HH drink special was quite tasty to start off. Food wise, started off with an order of the Caesar salad, simple but delicious. Fresh crisp Romaine lettuce and slices of Parmesan and crouton bits. Nice crunch with each bite. The dressing, wow pretty tasty. And an order of the Mac and Cheese . Most places it's either a hit or a miss and let me say it was a HIT. Quite cheesy and full of flavors that a second order was had. A dish I do recommend for HH. We also had an order of the Brussels sprouts which was excellent. A nice glaze and crunchy with chunks of house cured pancetta. Nice big chunks I must say. Lastly the beef sliders with Wagyu beef patties. Honestly, this was the least favorite of the dishes we got. You would think it sounded great but it was quite tasteless and nothing major to report on. Served with brioche bun and shredded lettuce and tomatoes and a lemon aioli. I had high hope for it when I saw the group next to us order it but it was a little disappointing. Overall, the Mac and cheese, Caesar salad and Brussels sprouts were all hits. The sliders, disappointing. Other items on HH didn't look too ingesting for us but it was for other people. The rooftop lounge and bar area was the place to be when we were there. It picked up real fast after we got seated. Picnic style tables being occupied by large groups before HH ended. Just the rooftop alone was great and beautiful. It a place that's good for a drink and meal with friends. Downstairs was beautiful but seemed more of an intimate experience. Overall, it was a great choice for a meal during HH. read more

Came to celebrate a friend's birthday on a Wednesday thinking the downstairs dining was open but was told that downstairs dining is open only on Fridays. We were super bummed because we wouldn't imagine sitting roof top since it was so cold but it ended up working out because it was actually really warm and we had a corner area all to ourselves. We got the Mac and cheese, Brussels, calamari, and buffalo wings. Everything was DELICIOUS. The one that didn't impress us as much was the Mac and Cheese- we like spicy and there really was no kick to it. And it was too toooooo cheesy for our liking. But that's a preference for others so you might like it! We brought in a cake and our server was so kind and let us store it until the end and brought us candles too! Wow, we had such a great experience here! Beautiful and uniquely designed restaurant.. with plenty of seating. I was hesitant because it was a slightly chilly night, but there is a lot of heating on the rooftop. Plus it's covered. We sat at the bar and had comfortable seating. Food was great!! We ordered the Brussel sprouts and they were definitely some of the best I have ever had! (& I order Brussel sprouts at almost every restaurant I go to!). I am not a fan of goat cheese, but they did pair well with the meatballs, which were tender and juicy. The passion fruit whisky sour was also divine! The real star of the show was our server, Billiam. Honestly he (sorry if I am assuming gender) was one of the best bar tender / severs I have ever experienced! Literally so beautiful inside and out. Beautiful experience for Valentine's Day. We were seated on the rooftop and the ambience was cozy and quiet. The food was great, I wish we had asked for more chips for the hummus. It was so yummy! The service was nice, although since it was Valentine's Day, I understand they were much more busy than usual. However, we did wait a long time in between the appetizer to entree to come out. The seats are like benches so sitting idly for a prolong period of time made our bottoms hurt haha. Otherwise great experience and the food overall was yummy. Daniel was our waiter, and he was phenomenal. He was extremely attentive, whenever our glasses were half empty he was immediately there to refill them, and offered great suggestions of the menu. He truly knows how to give outstanding, memorable service. The food was great - I absolutely loved their French onion soup. Great vibe and 5-star service, but everything else was a disaster. Came here for the $85/person Valentine's Day prix fixe and ended up leaving before dessert. The ambiance is fantastic--upscale, hipster whiskey bar aesthetic--and our server was wonderfully attentive and tried his absolute best to make it a great night. But the overall value was terrible. We paid an extra $45 for a "flower and decoration" package that was a total ripoff--literally just six petals and some cheap decor from HomeGoods scattered on the table. They also only offered pricey "enhancements" instead of à la carte, and the $20 baked brie was just a bland, basic block of cheese with jam. The kitchen completely dropped the ball. The salad tasted like a bitter, bagged mix. Both of our mains were severely undercooked. The wagyu meatball spaghetti felt like chewing raw dough covered in canned Ragu, and the seafood risotto featured hard grains of rice with zero seafood flavor. We were so put off that we didn't stay for dessert and just left. Great place for a cocktail, but skip the food entirely. read more

Try your luck with street park, but we paid $30 for all-day parking in a structure right across. Though there was a special Grand Prix event going on so I'm sure you could find somewhere cheaper. The dishes and drinks were quite pricy, but they were delicious! We ordered the carnivore flatbread and duck pappadelle pasta. Somehow they brought out a wild mushroom truffle flatbread instead, and said they made a mistake and immediately told us to keep it. Woooo it was very kind of them to comp it, without taking it away from our table. That's when you know service is top-notch. I like this place. Nice ambiance on the rooftop although there are canopies in place so you cannot see the sky. On weekends they have prime rib. I got the 16 oz. I also had their Brussel sprouts and bread pudding. Everything was pretty good. I didn't love some of their red wine selections. Parking here is a bear. All the lots in the area are about $30 for three hours. Meters may be more economical but unoccupied ones are hard to come by. Cute spot in Long Beach. The rooftop is mostly enclosed but you can still catch some great views of downtown depending on where you sit.
