Lobster Benedict, eggs with homemade hash (hidden by the eggs)

Good food fast service fair price. Nice place. Tuesday morning visit so no wait. Sat outside as it would be a little tight for Me with a walker to get around. Quaint downtown spot easy in and out would come back again.

We visited for brunch and were impressed with the service, food, and price-to-serving-size ratio. I wasn't expecting them to get so packed, though! I guess it's a local favorite in the Biddeford/Saco area. Thankfully, we still managed to get a table without having to wait. We ordered two meals -- a special and the eggs + corned beef plate -- plus two coffees, a Bloody Mary, and a homemade muffing for $50 after tax. Not bad at all, and this would've set us back quite a bit more at other diners. The food was delicious, although the corned beef was not the best I've had. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and the dish came with a generous amount of toast (four pieces versus your typical two pieces). The Bloody Mary was also delicious, only $7 -- you can't beat that. The homemade blueberry muffin, which we had grilled, was my favorite. The breakfast menu is limited and lacks items we expected to find at a place like this (breakfast burgers, biscuits & gravy, etc). Service was outstanding. We will be back!

This was our 1st time at the Rooster and it won't be our last! We came in for breakfast with some bloody 's and it was great but we also saw a lot of lunch plates going to other tables (i.e. club sandwiches, wraps, burgers, ect) and they all looked good. Our servers were prompt & friendly. The atmosphere is warm & cozy and if you come in for lunch they have a full service bar for beer and drinks. Oh yeah, Prices are very affordable. Overall, I give a solid 4 stars!

My husband and I went to breakfast at Golden rooster restaurant today. On our way to leave Maine and we took a chance at this spot. I looked everywhere online and couldn't find a menu so we just decided to try it. I'm very glad we did. It's very busy on a Tuesday morning. The waitress was very nice and helpful. My husband had lobster omelette. He needed to have that lobster everywhere we went in Maine. lol. It was delicious and there was a good amount of lobster for omelette. I had the Florentine Benedict. It was delicious. I really like the hollandaise sauce and the flavors as well as the home fries. The home fries were lightly seasoned enough so it wasn't bland or Overpowering. . I one of my eggs was cooked to medium. However, the flavor was so good. It didn't bother me . I definitely recommend trying this restaurant out if you're in the neighborhood.

It was worth the wait in the rain! Food was delicious! Staff was inviting and friendly. They know what they are doing at this establishment! Simple yet perfectly cooked food!

Crepes were very good and the eggs were perfectly cooked. The coffee was average. For $14 I would've liked to bigger strips of bacon. Great dining experience everyone was friendly and kept our drink filled!

The wait was 45+ minutes and unfortunately it was pouring rain and there's no where to wait inside the very small restaurant but we waited due to the high ratings we figured it's be worth the wait and overall it was. Just as a fyi: Parking wasn't as bad as we thought it might be bc there were a few lots behind the restaurant with parking available to the public. I don't think the restaurant has its own parking and with it being located along a main road with only a few spots in front of the restaurant itself we weren't sure if parking was going to be an issue. In terms of atmosphere it's a small place loud and crowded on the day we went. Lots of larger parties of families and a small counter of regulars/singles. Once we were sat the waitstaff was fast and friendly. Our food came out quickly and everyone in our group was happy with the quality of the food and the portion size. I had the cheese omelette which was yummy and I thought the home fries were flavorful and well cooked. Several members of our group got the breakfast sandwiches and thought those were delicious and the little ones with us loved their pancakes and scrambled eggs. We'd definitely return when in Saco again.

    Cute little bar.

If you're looking for a place where locals eat then this is the place. Small bar, sufficient meno, stick to your ribs type of food and friendly service. Came during off season so don't know what it is like during tourist season. We liked it and would come back.

Great place for a quick bite to eat, especially for their burgers, sure the wait was little long but it was worth it.

No reservations, you put your name in and wait. We waited about an hour and a half, and I can confidently say it was worth it! The menu is small with only a handful of options, but they clearly know what they do and do it WELL. I had the cheeseburger with fries (no bun), and MAN, that burger was cooked to perfection. So juicy, and the fries were perfectly golden with just the right amount of crunch. My husband got the tuna salad and made it a melt, this was actually his birthday wish, so we HAD to make the trip! He said it was one of the best tuna salads he's ever had. You know the food is good when both of us are sitting there silently eating. Both of our counter servers were so friendly and the service was great. If you're in the Kennebunkport area and have the time, Palace Diner is a MUST. Absolutely worth the wait and DEFINITELY lives up to the hype!

Very limited menu and waitress told us the 2 specials. One was omelette of the day Broccoli and Swiss (not to special) and their blueberry pancakes. Menu prices are a bit high than what you usually pay anywhere else. I got the omelette and it was pretty small looked like a burrito Tasted good and fresh. My wife got the breakfast sandwich. It was good, but was a little overpowered by the sliced jalapeños (fresh)on it Both our breakfasts came with "palace potatoes " which are a different spin on homefries. My guess is a par boiled potatoes that the smash a little then deep fry and add salt. They were good, crunchy but creamy on the inside. The coffee was ok. First cup tasted a little burnt but the refill was better. Customer service was great. Waitress was attentive, checked in after 2 bites and heated my coffee several times while I ate. The price was $48 for two people we had thought about splitting an order of pancakes or corned-beef hash($11) but it was too pricey. It was a good experience, clean restaurant, friendly people and ok food but too expensive for breakfast. Had breakfast the day before at Twin City diner. Food was just as good ( except their home fries) and a better value.

We were able to park right out front of the store front. Before we got off of the Pike, we ordered 2 pizzas.....one cheese and one veggie. When my wife was finished ordering and before she was told how long it would be before pick-up, the clerk told her the total price ($53.22). When I heard the price, I almost went off the road but I would find out later that it was well worth every cent! I went in to watch the process, which I love to do. It was a pretty busy Sat evening, for sure. Only one size of pizza....all large. Pizza orders of 8, 4 and 5 were pumping out the kitchen! Three workers and one register clerk made up the staff. There are 4 small tables and chairs if you want to eat-in, as well. When our order finally came out, I was a bit hesitant. I am a fan of lightly cooked and no bubbles. The pizza, when it was being cut, looked charred up a bit and had a bubble or two. As I walked to the car, I was not very confident that things would turn out the way they did. When we each started to eat the pizza, we were both thrilled with everything.....crust, cheese, overall taste and cook-style! The veggie was "delicious" and the cheese pizza was in the Louie's class (Woburn, MA). Boy, were we happy! The price was a little high but very well worth it. You get what you pay for! Soda: no Pepsi/no Coke (see pic) Parking: on Main Street...seemed easy Price: a little high...but worth it Ambience: nice little spot Will I be back?: When in Biddeford....sure Stars: 5 (I took a bunch of pictures...but it is a long story)

The thing that's frustrating it the hours and then posting on social media an hour or so after they open saying "sold out" already. This business has been around for a few yet it seems like they make a handful of doughs and then close. Why have hours then because when you try to show up if you don't check social media or their online ordering you will be out of luck. Why not make more pizza dough if you know you are busy and people enjoy it? Also tried to order online and got charged, showed up and they said they never got my order and I would need to figure out the charges with my bank. Connect with the bank and they tell me the restaurant refunded me already and it's processing. So it seems like once again they ran out of dough even though I ordered online ahead of time when it opened. Just unfortunate experiences I have had all around.
