What a beautiful bakery tucked in the corner of the west hills area of Los Angeles. You are welcomed with a friendly and cozy bakery and the woman behind the counter was very kind. There is a gelato section on the right with a cookie and pastry display case that definitely opens your eyes with excitement. Since it was Mother's Day this weekend we got these flower meringues as well as some chocolate/tiramusu cakes. You can definitely tell these were handled with care. There were pretty good but I do wish the Tiramusu was a little denser but that is just my palette. Pricing was a little above average for items but then again, it seems like everything everywhere is these days. Also, it is unfortunate they aren't open sundays. Will I be back? Most likely yes! This is one of my favorite if not my most favorite bakery. The owner is such a joy to talk to and I've never once had bad service. The gelato is fantastic and the serving sizes are generous and extremely delicious! The danishes are to DIE for, and I have never eaten something from this place that wasn't fresh and extremely delicious. The place is not usually packed which blows my mind when it's so good! The owner is SUCH a sweetheart and remembers us every time we come by, and the last time we came by the cheese and apricot danishes (my new favorite because of this place) were hot and freshly glazed right out of the oven. I've had danishes from a few other places, and this place completely outshines them. This morning was the day and I hoped to surprise my blushing bride with a breakfast pastry surprise. The bakery is really cute and clean. Many classic options. The lady who served me (to go) was very nice and offered good advice to warm up the pastry so it tastes better. The pastry looked great. Bought an apricot and cheese Danish. They looked flaky and had a nice glaze over the filling. I warmed them up ever-so-slightly to avoid losing any of the flakiness. The apricot Danish was really yummy. The cheese Danish was quite a letdown. It was flaky but the cheese filling was rather tasteless and I thought it had a weird texture. So it was a 50-50 experience for me: half of each pastry and only half of the pastry really tasty. read more

Frankly, this is the first business I've ever frequented in that small strip mall and glad to have found them! If you're having a tea party or a fancy lunch, these pastries would be perfect for dessert. Currently, they're about 4 bucks each and have flavors such as red velvet, chocolate, tiramisu, chocolate raspberry, Neapolitan... and each one is a little work of art, topped with pretty, edible accents. They may seem pricy, but I like to take each one and cut them in half or thirds and display them so that people can try a variety and that makes them go a long way. I came here later in the day with my mother and was helped immediately. The woman who helped us was very friendly. I was very excited to try the cupcakes. They had chocolate or vanilla cake with vanilla frosting. It was very simple which I like. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The cake was very stale and the frosting was really, really thick. Stopped by the other day to pick up some pastries for my mother's birthday. I was greeted so warmly by the sweet and lovely Pouneh (who I've come to learn through Yelp is the owner!). All the pastries selected were so delicious (mango cake, mocha cake, chocolate cake, crème brûlée), and had a light spongey texture while the creams were so smooth and delicate. Needed to pick up a cake same day. So I called the bakery and was told they have several cakes available so I can come and pick one out! Once I got there I realized that this place is literally 5 minutes from me, I've been passing it by daily! It is extremely clean inside and the displays are very neat and filled with goodies! I was greeted by most sweetest lady! She helped me decide on the cake and lunch option while I'm at it! It was such a pleasure to have someone truly enjoy their job and customers! The chocolate cake was insanely delicious and just the right amount of sweetness and chocolate goodness! My husband really enjoyed the cake! Usually we have cake leftovers for days but not this time! The fruit tarts were sooo yummy with raspberries and blackberries making it a true tart! My new guilty pleasure! Ordered a last minute custom birthday cake for my friend and the owner was so helpful in getting that done for me. I called a few days before the actual event and she managed to get that done for me! Sent pictures on what I wanted the cake to be and she nailed it. Always so nice and friendly, texting me back fast whenever I had a question. Came here around 3pm on a Saturday and decided to get a dozen cupcakes, some cream puffs & a cheesecake. While we were waiting for the cupcakes, the cream, they brought out a new batch of cream puffs. So we decided to get a pound of them, which came out to about 12 pieces. The cream puffs was not as sweet as I'd like them to be. It just tasted like someone just filled it with whip cream from a can. Wasn't my favorite. The cupcake was really dry. I had to drink a beverage in order to finish it. The icing wasn't the greatest either. No real flavor to it. And the thing that really annoys me is the container they put the cupcakes in. There's no way for you to take the cupcakes out without getting your fingers all messy with icing. The holes for the cupcakes are too big. If the cupcakes were a little bigger, it would be easier to remove. The cheesecake was the best thing about this place. It was thick similar to a NY Cheesecake. It was pretty good and the crust is on the thicker side. I like that it doesn't have sugar crystals like a lot of other cheesecakes I've had. The cheesecake was a treat for myself, meant to be eaten over a couple days but ended up finishing it all in one setting. The cream cheese frosting and texture of the cake is so good, and how cute is the decoration?!
