Dr. Cohen conducted a root canal on me last week and I was shocked at how efficiently he and his assistant handled it. I was in and out within... An hour? The check in was thorough, with the assistant checking to make sure I answered the COVID-19 screening questions truthfully, and taking my temperature. She then ushered me inside and made sure I settled in comfortably while her and Dr. Cohen suited up for battle. The numbing was quick and painless, and once the anesthetic took effect, it was a quick and painless process. They checked in on me every now and again, which was appreciated, but the truth is that I experienced zero issues and was surprised when it was all said and done. Checking out was just as fast, and the assistant was understanding of my need to make payments with multiple forms (as my old HSA and new FSA accounts have different cards.) All in all, I'm grateful for Plaza Dental Care recommending such an efficient Endodontist. Would highly recommend if you're in the market for a root canal! read more

I had my Hollywood smile done in another clinic that replaced my all mouth to a zirconia crowns. A few months later my back teeth started to have lots of pain(pain that i can't take). One of my friends sent me a referral to Dr Cohen, which took his time to meet me on his day off (Wednesday) and after X-Ray we discovered that I need to take some actions and perform 4 root canals and one surgery to remove bacteria. The same day he reduced my pain by doing a few root canals, and to not push too much on one visit I had the clinic squeeze me in asap to complete the treatments. Dr .Cohen is very pleasant and same all of the people that work in this clinic They are there to help with any situation. The quote was reasonable and the treatment itself was very sanitized, which means that it's the first time a dentist is using some plastic wrap to avoid any grinding parts or chemicals to get in my Throat. My root canal was definitely not a easy process. It took me more than one try with a couple of different dentist. However, when I went to see Dr. Cohen he made the process seem so quick and easy. Oh my god Dr. Cohen was amazing! He saved my tooth and I left with no pain at all. The entire procedure was completely painless. I felt nothing but just a little sting when he had to numb me. Omg this place is amazing! Dr Ella Lim is nothing short of amazing. I went to two other specialist and they weren't sure if they could do it the root canal. Dr Lim was very friendly, personable, and confident that she could do the work. Most places charged 200 for the consultation and then would try to tip toe around doing the work a week or two out. Not this place, the day you get the consult is the day you get the work done and the consult was only 85.00. Dr Lim is also a veteran like me and she truly did amazing work. At the faction of the price others edno's quoted and were unsure if they could do it until they went in and opened everything up. I HIGHLY recommend this office for special root canals or any root canal, if they did general dental work I would be a regular customer for sure. Im so happy to have found this dentist for my root canal. Dr. Golden was fantastic! They took me in without a appointment when I was in agonizing pain. She was able to do most of the root canal that day alleviating the pain and infection. She did this even though she had prior family commitments and stayed as long as she could helping me. I returned 2 weeks later for the finish of the root canal. Both my visits were outstanding. I was treated with respect and compassion by all the staff and dentist. I felt like they really cared about my discomfort and went above and beyond to help me. My out of pocket was extremely fair and affordable with my terrible insurance. I'm kind of ashamed to say, but just had my second visit here within the year. I highly, HIGHLY recommend them! Dr. Lim is so awesome at what she does and makes you feel at ease throughout the entire procedure. I've heard nothing but horrifying stories about root canals, but was shockingly surprised it ended up being a painless procedure. I'm sure a lot of that has to do with who is doing your procedure, so trust me when I say Dr. Lim is amazing! I remember coming in for my very first root canal and being so scared, but everyone was very kind and answered all my questions. Dr. Lim and her dental assistant constantly checked in throughout the procedure to make sure I was okay. Also, I have sooo much appreciation for the dental assistant who constantly suction so you don't have a mouthful of gunk. This makes a huge difference!! Anyway, just left there and my second root canal was super quick. Second time again was painless and super quick! From the front office to the back office, everyone is great all around :) read more

Have you ever heard of anyone falling asleep during a root canal? Neither had i until I saw Dr. Lim. I didn't even feel the Novocain shot. She was so gentle I nearly dozed off. The staff was professional, kind and considerate and let you know what was happening and why throughout. It so eased my general dislike of dental procedures. Facilities are high tech which is cool. I was real nervous about my first root canal. I left an hour after arriving having felt little pain whatsoever and wondering why I had made this such a big deal! Dr. Cohen is incredibly welcoming, approachable, and professional--and his staff shares the same qualities. After some x-rays, Dr. Cohen walked me through my particular circumstances and what the procedure would entail. Even better, he kept me informed throughout the procedure what was going on and the progress we were making. After the procedure and a couple more x-rays, he sat with me to explain how everything had went and what I should expect moving forward. Even with a numb face and some questions, he sat very present with me to address all of my concerns. Not saying I'm looking forward to my next operation, but I know now I'm in good hands with Dr. Cohen and his team! read more

I am not the best patient for dental issues. I am also extremely scared of any dental procedure because of the drilling and pain. But Dr. Cohen is AMAZING! Only because I had to give 1*. 2nd time dealing with this company and never will again. They are extremely overpriced on what they preform. Today I went in for a Root Canal only to find out the tooth cannot be saved for maybe 4-5 years. Why pay over $1500 for a Root Canal for that. Then find out they charge almost $500 for an office visit. That's highway robbery for a few X-Rays. The Dentist's English was not the best. It was very hard to understand her at times which didn't help the situation. If I were you, I'd stay clear of this place and look for another. Their Concord office was worse with their staff several years ago, so not much of an improvement over the years as far as their business practice goes. My dentist will know not to do any referrals to this dentist unless absolutely needed. read more

Dr. Wendy Gulden was efficient (quick), courteous and knowledgable. She is a professional. There wasn't anybody in the office with an attitude and they all conducted themselves graciously. The office has re-invested some of their revenue in equipment, technology, cleanliness and good employees. The negative comments must come from people with an attitude of conflict...they are looking for sleights. The only complaint I had is that neither the doctor or assistant informed me that I had unsightly root canal chemicals on my lip before I left the office. read more

Dr. Lim did 2 root canals for me. I have had a lot of dental work in my life and I can say this is a gold star office. The ladies at the reception are extremely helpful on the phone & in person. Dr. Lims staff - sorry I forget all the ladies names but they were all extremely sweet & professional. Dr. Lim herself is so gentle & considerate of how I was during the procedure. Several times asking if I was alright - & pausing so I could have a rest ( you know how hard it is to keep your mouth open a long time ). & it went much quicker than I expected. I was in & out much faster than at my regular dentist office. & no pain. Some discomfort with the 2nd tooth but antibiotics took care of that & is now all cleared up. I've been very impressed with office so far. I recieved a root canal from Dr. Gulden which was quick and painless (even afterwards there was not much discomfort). I'm usually very anxious when they start with the numbing process and I didn't feel anything. I have a very difficult tooth (broken passed the gum line) and when I cracked it a bit more afterwards she was able to squeeze me in that day to check on it. I highly recomend this office! read more

I've personally had 2 Root Canals don at his office. And 1 surgery on an old Root Canal from years ago which became infected with an Abscess. I came to switch to him because of a bad experience from a previous Endodontist. I work for a dentist and he immediately recommended me to Dr. Scott Cohen. He introduced himself and even shook my hand (a good number of Doctors don't do that from my experience). I felt comfortable with him because he took the time to elaborately explain the procedure before, during and after the process. The assistants were accommodating too! Anything dental is never really a comfort for any of us so the quicker the better.
