Im embarrassed to say ive been to Dr. Cohen 3 times i will never see anyone else for a root canal but him even though ive seen him iam still a nervous wreck iam terrified of going to a dentist. Dr.Cohen is sooooo nice and so comforting he really puts you at ease he's very calming almost soothes you into the chair he makes you feel that comfortable i feel no pain and if I did he will do anything and everything for me not to feel anything. I really wish i could have him as an all around dentist he's that GREAT!! Dr. Cohens dental assistant Hailey is also wonderful she's the sweetest and most helpful she also made me feel at ease they are both soo patient and reassuring. So is his office staff I believe her name is Marissa she is the sweetest and also caring she definitely helped me with my situation i was leaving for Christmas on Wednesday and i had some pain called on Monday and she got me right in i even called a few days later worried about my tooth and she reassured me it would be fine but if not they were always there to help just a call away and she was right!! Sadly I'm a connoisseur to root canals....work in SF and was having my dental work done there...such a big baby, I hated driving home alone so far after 2 1/2 hr root canals...so I went on yelp...Brave considering how petrified of dental work after a bad experience at 19 with my wisdom teeth....anyway...I found Dr Cohen on my ipad had my Dentists office refer me there rather than in SF ...that was at 4pm...Dr Cohen's fabulous staff got me in at 5pm and was able to do the procedure right then! It wasn't as much as my past root canals ...it took him less than half the time the other Dr and the best part? They had a warm blanket....sounds silly but I found it very comforting....the office and Maggie was amazing....and I didn't hurt once or after the procedure ....never ever thought happiness could be found in a root canal read more

Dr. Cohen was a lifesaver. Please forgive the descriptiveness of this review. This was one of the hardest trials I've ever had. I had been in pain from Black Friday until yesterday when I went in and he fixed me up. I'm talking cascades of ice daggers and steamrollers of branding irons with thorns. Like 9/10 made a grown man cry (a lot) and contemplate the afterlife pain. After being bounced around to different doctors we realized the pain in my left jaw was really a dying tooth, and I got referred to Dr. Cohen. They got me in on the same day, which was a God send, I don't know what I would have done otherwise. I was having sympathetic shock (chills, shuddering, etc.) from the pain. His entire staff was wonderful, really warm and nice and professional. His assistant was named Stacy, (or Tiffany, or something like that), and she was great. She took my x-rays and then explained what was wrong and everything they were going to do to me! I really appreciated that, usually dentists are just like, "lie down, were going to fix you." Dr. Cohen was professional and compassionate also. He found a solution. The situation was complicated, and he said that he was going to fix it today! I was elated! They ran me through what they were going to do, then he numbed me up, and did my root-canal and in less than an hour later I was delivered from the pain. I was so happy. seriously. I'm the biggest coward when it comes to dentists! I didn't sleep the night before my my root canal--I was in a lot of pain and freaked out about having my first root canal. I checked Checkbook magazine and found that Scott Cohen was rated well, but still did not look forward to this root canal. I e-mailed Dr. Cohen's office on Tuesday night and his office called me the next morning and set-up an appointment for the next day. Dr. Cohen's office is about 30 minutes from my house, but the drive was worth it. I just got home after my appointment with Dr. Cohen. I can honestly say I didn't feel any pain during the root canal. Most importantly, Dr. Cohen let me know what was going to happen and made me feel relaxed. He spent time answering my questions, so I didn't feel rushed. Every thing about the operation was executed flawlessly. The dental dam blocked everything, but allowed me to breath and not feel like I was being water boarded. After the nitrous oxide, I was given three quick injections. Before I knew it, the whole process was over--1 hour total. If I every have another root canal, I'll will return to Dr. Cohen's office. I was referred there for a consultation regarding a Root Canal. I am terrified of Dentists, and I was totally stressed out. Doctor Cohen is the best! He actually did my Root Canal while I was at this "first" appointment, and I am so happy it is done. Doctor Cohen was patient, explained everything and assured me that I would have no pain. I was out of there in just over an hour, and I feel fine. I waited two days to write this review to see how I feel afterwards. I have just a little soreness, (which is normal), but I feel a lot better than before. I give them 5 stars because one they are located so conveniently (2 doors) from my gen dentist and that i was able to get a prompt schedule I have yet to wait 6mos to see if my root canal re-treatment went well. A. Scott Cohen should have his license revoked and never work in the United States as a dentist,doctor, therapist or in any professional licensed field . He is a crook and stole money from me. He promised to pay me all my out of pocket fee's because he made a huge mistake. I had to file complaints with the better business bureau and with Delta Dental. He was ordered to pay me back around $1,000 and he sent me a check for $24.00 and said here you go! I've paid over $7,000 to fix what he should've done. read more

I was referred to Solano Endodontics for a problem tooth potentially requiring a root canal. I met with Dr Gulden and got the "bad" news: my tooth was a definite candidate for a root canal. In finishing the consultation Dr Gulden promised that I would feel no pain. I was a bit skeptical, but made the appointment anyway. After a sleepless night of anticipating the worst, I arrived for my appointment. I felt a little twinge from the numbing shot, but the rest of the procedure was, although noisy, painless. At the finish, Dr Gulden gave me verbal care instructions. Her assistant followed up with a written sheet of the same instructions which was very helpful. Sometimes when you have an intense experience like a root canal the words go in one ear and out the other. Later that day the numbness wore off and still NO pain. The experience I had with Dr, Stevenson could not have been better, he is extremely caring, combined with a very professional approach to his work. I have waited a year and a half to write this review because I have suffered from a recurring problem stemming from a tumor above the roots of teeth 6-8. Since then, I've had nearly 10 surgeries on the affected area. Every 1-2 years or so I would experience pain in tooth 7 and a fistulae would appear in my gums. I visited Scott and asked a simple question - "What will you do that is different?" He identified what he thought was the cause of the problem and informed me of his plan to stop it. The surgery went well and was typical; he is an excellent surgeon. I visited recently for a follow-up x-ray. I have seen dozens of x-rays of the affected area and could see that it was finally filling in with bone. I rate Dr. Cohen 5 stars for two reasons. 1 - He solved my issue when others could not, and 2 - He is an excellent surgeon. read more

Dr. Stevenson and his staff are amazing! My dentist recommended Dr. Stevenson when I came in complaining of a terrible toothache. Dr. Stevenson was able to see me later that day and performed a re-treatment on an infected previous root canal. While I hoped that all the pain would go away, I was up all night in excruciating pain. I called Dr. Stevenson first thing in the morning and his staff was super accommodating and saw me again. Apparently, I had another tooth that needed a root canal that was causing additional pain. Maggie, the dental assistant, was extremely sweet and set me up with ice water (the only thing that calmed that side of my mouth) while I waited. I am happy to say that I went home and felt like a million bucks and no longer needed any pain medicine! Even before I could call to thank Dr. Stevenson, he called me just to check on how my pain level was. The whole staff goes above and beyond to make patients feel comfortable, the offices (both Vallejo and Concord) are clean and professional looking, and the root canal treatment was painless!
