Great food, service & atmosphere. Family friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant!!

Got dinner beef and mushrooms from rural hall golden wok. Was lacking in most areas. Meat was not cut up and fat and connective tissue removed. Muted flavors. Noodles were all broken. Mushrooms were good other veggies were weird tasting. Egg rolls didn't taste right. Spring rolls were good but no sweet and spicy sauce for those. For the money it felt like I was given a lower grade product or cheap alternative. When I tasted the broth it is very muted or diluted in flavor. It had no pop of flavor one expects from a umami broth. My coworkers sesame chicken and fried rice was good. read more

The food had so much sauce and oil, it really wasn't enjoyable but it was quick and hot.

I used to eat here 3x a week. Since I moved I don't get over there but I stopped in and ordered shrimp fried rice, cream cheese wontons and soup. In my rice for $14 I got five small shrimp and the yellow rice had no flavor. Used to, when you got cream cheese wontons, you got the sweet red sauce with it. I wasn't offered the sauce and found out later you could buy some. It's gone down hill too much for me to go back. I won't go back. read more

Don't get me wrong to food is good. It's a lot at reasonable prices but over seasoned. Plus the lady at the front had a chip on her shoulder and was somewhat rude. The inside of the restaurant was small and they had a leak in the roof that they put menus on to cover up. Wish I would've eaten somewhere else. read more

This place has been my favorite Chinese restaurant for years! Excellent service, very quick and efficient, and the food is always good! I like their soups, General Tso's chicken, dumplings, and spring rolls. Always a big portion size too. The lady who works here works super hard and is great! The dining area is small but this place is mainly a take out place. read more

Love this restaurant. Food orders is always accurate and I have frequented this place for a great meal. Portions are huge! Flavor outstanding. Always have leftovers for future meals. Lady at the counter juggles multiple talks from taking phone orders, taking face to face orders, bag cooked food and get these to the correct person. She is one very typical busy entrepreneur! One time, she added some bottled water in my food order, free! Last year, she placed a nice desert in my takeout bag! Again, free! read more

I always leave tips because it's a small family business and they work 6 days a week with just an hour break each day. The labor they put into the food is amazing. I love this place! Truth be told I only decided to do this review because I saw so many negative reviews on here that a extremely unfair. This place is hugely popular even though it is tiny and it always has people eating no matter what time I go in. A lot of these reviews seem to be pretty picky and only decided to leave a review after having a negative experience. Here are the facts. The portion sizes are large. You can feed two people for about $10 and have a snack for later as long as you are not a pig who eats everything even when you are full. The owner is super friendly, smiles a lot, and takes great pride in her work. It is a family restaurant and even her children work there and learn proper customer service (which is rare these days). They always give us extra stuff like a free drink, spring rolls, or sweetbuns. They genuinely care about the customer. The sesame chicken with broccoli is wonderful... and the fried rice is epic. We get a large order pretty much every time we go and the staff knows what we want before we even get to the counter. All in all a great place to eat. read more

Food is good but they take FOREVER to prepare it. I waited an hour for simple egg foo yung.

We used to really like this place but the quality has gone down and prices have gone up recently. Dining room not very clean. Restroom atrocious. That's why we usually order to go. Egg rolls were cold and soggy like they were cooked many hours earlier. We like our veggies cooked but not mushy. Last time the vegetables weren't even cooked. Seemed like they were just thrown in last minute. If you are told your order will be ready in 20 minutes, plan on an hour, even if you call it in. Its disappointing to wait so long for cold, mediocre food. It's sad but Wilkes doesn't have any good Chinese restaurants. read more

The service sucks. Prices appear to be cheaper than they really are. They also give you the same amount for lunch and dinner portions but up the price. Also, hope you don't have anywhere to be because they'll make you late. read more

This is one of those walk up to order and they bring it to you type places. The food was decent, I had the General Tso's chicken. It was pretty heavily sauced which ended up soaking in my rice which I had to add soy sauce to prior to give the rice flavor. The lady who took the order was nothing short of hateful when I asked if they had black pepper chicken before I ordered then asked if they had sweet and low, she shortly replied "No!" Maybe she didn't speak much english who knows. Anyway I've had better Chinese food, probably won't come back here. 97.5 sanitation grade. read more
