Rooney was my manicurist and he gave me the best manicure I've ever received. My nails have never looked better. I got acrylics with gel and typically I hate them because they're too clunky or there's product underneath my nails, but he literally changed my life. Hands down the best my nails have ever looked in my life he is amazing. He took his time on my nails and didn't rush and I really appreciated that. Hannah did my pedicure and she was so great. She asked me how I wanted everything and was so kind. My pedicure was fabulous and my toes look so good. The establishment was very clean and so welcoming! I came in around 5:15 and they did not rush me at all but took their time. My phone died and they even let me use a portable charger. If I could give 6 stars I would! Came back for a fill since I had a good experience the first time. Waited about 45 min until anyone was free and then per my choice waited another 15 for Mimi specifically. She did a good job with the fill and it wasn't rushed or anything but 4 days in my gel polish (on acrylics) started chipping. I'm 5 days in now and two fingers are chipped. Nothing major but it's annoying. Fill was $32 per usual. Note: On my last set from the first review the polish starting chipping as well but after about 8 days. read more

The lady tell me to pick a color, i said I have color acrylic on my nail it's bubble bath so she said oh pink I was like no I want bubble bath, so instead of saying to me that they do not have the color bubble bath they sits me as if they had bubble bath and put this color on my nails that's not bubble bath. the application of the acrylic was trash, my shape was trash. I came here based on the reviews and it started out great, but quickly declined. I got a gel manicure and TT offered to do my brows. She was rushing the entire time then left a bunch of oil on my hands without giving me a towel to wipe it off. I had to grab my own towel before being rushed to the room to do my brows. I asked her to CLEAN THEM UP. Multiple times I stressed that I didn't want them waxed too thin. She waxed my brows so thin! I haven't had them done in a year and was growing them out. I'm so disappointed in the service. I even had to go back in to have the gel cleaned off my fingers. Sadly I wont be returning. read more

You can't throw a stone around here without hitting a nail salon so I relied on Yelp reviews and I'm really happy I did. I just moved here from out of state and after unpacking I was in desperate need of a mani pedi. T helped me out today. I get shellac on my toes and powder dip on my finger nails. They have a nice selection of colors where they have the same color in shellac and powder so my fingers and toes match. I love that!! The salon is clean, everyone is super friendly. DO NOT GO HERE... went to get a full set and asked for long skinny square nails, everything was fine until i asked her to file them a little more she instantly got an attitude and filed so aggressively my surrounding skin started to bleed. I decided to try Golden's Nail Spa for my first time and I have to say I probably won't be back. The reviews and photos are a couple years old: the place doesn't look at brand new as it used too and they didn't offer any drinks of sorts as some reviews stated. The service was quick as soon as I walked in I was greeted and quickly started my full set. The guy who did my names I believe was named Jonathan as everyone kept saying hello to him. He was very nice and polite but seemed to be in a hurry as he kept looking at the clock ever so often. Within 40min my nails were complete but during the process I felt like he didn't pay too much attention to insure he wouldn't cut or hurt my fingers. When I went home I could see a lot of the dried up materials used as I had to peel them all away the following day. Love my color as I brought my own from home and the shape of my nails but I won't be back. ($5 charge for shape) read more

Always good experience Can't believe I am the first person to review this... as you know there is a nail salon on every corner now...I had been to others in the Steele Creek area and had had problems, a friend went here, I went with her and now won't go anywhere else. All of the staff are very nice and friendly, my manicures and pedicures last for awhile, they have a loyalty card so after you go 10 times, you save $10. I went there looking to get a removal of gel acrylics to get a lay over of my real nails.. Let's start that the lady Mary started clipping them down with a nail clipper then started shaving with her drill I was already wondering like why she didn't soak my gel nails first... so then her appointment walks in. And she pushes me to the tub where I sat for a hour waiting to get them removed.. then a second lady start removal the same way just drillin so I got up and left so unprofessional and no one even apologized for messin up my nails like that 8 months of just fills to get them to grow out and they shredded the nail bed so I had to start all over !!! I've been getting my nails done the last five years in Charlotte and was so happy to find Golden's. They were by far the best of any I had been to. Best customer service and quality of nails. I usually request Do. Love him! I never have a nail break or even chip when I go to him and he keeps me entertained. However he does stay booked so when I go to the salon on a whim I'm taken care of and always happy with whoever does my service! Sally and Tim are great and the manager is a sweetheart. I went in for a gel manicure and the guy talked me into doing SNS, that was my first mistake. While pushing my cuticles he made my right pinky and right finger bled. My ring finger would not stop bleeding until he put some type of chemical on it. Lastly, there was glue or whatever they use to bond the powder with under my nails and didn't even attempt to clean it off with acetone. I've came to them one other time and came back tonight because someone recommended the place and so I thought I would give them another try. It was a horrible mistake. This place is probably the closest nail salon to my house, but I'll travel for better service. I've been going to Golden's for almost 2 years and I have always left satisfied until today. There was no crowd and it was not busy at all, but the lady doing my acrylic nails rushed, and it! is! noticeable! The process that usually takes about an hour took less than 30 minutes. I showed her a picture of the length and style that I wanted, and she gave me some very long and some VERY short nails, and not AT ALL the shape that I asked for. The nails are also very thick, and the polish itself as well as the acrylic nails are uneven, so it just looks rough and disgusting. The inconsistency of the length and texture has left me in utter disappointment. I cannot believe I had to pay for these. read more

One of the worst pedicures I've ever had. She was so careless and showed no attention to my feet. She rounded all of my toenails and didn't even nip the citicleWhile she was removing my calluses she cut me on the side of my foot really bad. She saw that it was bleeding and didn't even bother to wipe it or say sorry she just stuck my foot back in the tub. I do not recommend this place at all. I've never shared a bad review previously, but must do so now. Giving no stars with this review isn't an option, or I would have chosen it. NEVER get a waxing done at this "salon." The owner, Cindy, did my waxing, and ripped off a piece of my skin. She attempted to blame it on 'acne' after she saw what she had done, and said the area was red. When she gave me the mirror, it was obvious a layer of skin had been ripped off. I had zero acne, dry skin, nor any other contributing factors her careless error could be blamed on. Unfortunately I will be finding a new nail salon, because I no longer trust that any of their other services will be satisfactory.
