The techs are nice but dishonest. I came in for a specific nail design. I showed pictures and asked if anyone had the ability to do it and they all nod yes. Yes is to the money. Not the execution. I trusted the process bc how else will you know unless you're in too deep. Got to the prep work. The shape. The color, which wasn't even remotely close. The polish on my hands and feet was applied entirely from the pedicure chair and was put on too thick and quickly so the layers didn't dry properly (the top coat moved like a waterbed after I left). Absolutely unacceptable experience -- both my daughter and I got nail fungus after just one visit. This was our first time at Wet Paint Nails, and sadly it will be our last. My daughter and I had our nails done by different nail techs, and yet within days, we both developed nail fungus. We've never had anything like this happen before, and a dermatologist confirmed the infections -- likely caused by unsanitary tools or poor hygiene protocols at the salon. When I called to report it, I was shocked by the manager's response. He told me that this "happens a lot" and that it's "not a big deal." Actually, it is a big deal. A fungal infection is a health issue, and it's absolutely unacceptable for any salon to dismiss it -- let alone admit it happens often. Now we're dealing with painful nail damage, expensive treatments, and the frustration of knowing this could have been prevented. Cleanliness and safety should be non-negotiable in a nail salon. ZERO STARS! I used to come here regularly before the pandemic but I never really loved Vinh's work and he kept messing up my scheduled appointments anyway. I've been going to another shop since then but my current nail tech was unable to do a "chrome on chrome" design that I wanted for my upcoming vacation, so I came back here on Friday, June 21st, 2024. Vinh immediately recognized me and sarcastically asked where I'd been. I showed a pic of my desired nail design to the lady at the counter and she emphatically stated they could do it. For further validation, she took my phone and showed the pic to Vinh who also confirmed. As the tech was removing the old gel polish from my nails, I noticed several others searching frantically for something and I assumed it was the two nail colors I needed and, ultimately, the girl doing my nails confirmed they didn't have them. Then she shoved samples of their other chrome colors at me to choose from. I voiced my disappointment and they were completely non-empathetic and absolutely refused to own up to the fact that they just lied to me. They were all just very nonchalant about the situation - kind of like "oh well...just gimme your money"..... When it came time for payment, a little dude stood guard by the door - I guess he thought I was going to run out without paying . At the payment counter, they tried to charge me full price but I reduced their asking price by $5 per lie - which meant that I paid $10 less than they wanted. The pie-faced chic with the messed-up teeth was agitated that I asked her to show me the price on the screen BEFORE I handed over my payment card. Not sure why she thought I'd trust her after the earlier two lies. She talked a lot of noise while I was on my way out the door which led me to assume that she may have tried it before with somebody who had time to play with her because, seriously, it looks like somebody packed a mean punch and hand-delivered that pie-face and all those cracked teeth in her head. Not saying it was the right thing to do but I certainly understand. Anywho, my nails look horrible. Shame on me for going back....never again. read more

One thing I did appreciate about wet paint was I went in on a Monday needing a gel deluxe manicure. They have lots of spacious room, and there was no wait. The gentleman doing my nails, only sanded my gels off did not take care of my cuticles indefinitely did not give me a deluxe manicure. I'm trying to figure out how this nail salon is even still in business? So years ago I would come here off and on as a last resort and now I see and know why for sure . Yesterday my original nail tech at another salon couldn't fit me in so I had to resort to coming here . The nail tech that did my fill in and gel polish was the absolute worst and very seldom do I complain or even like to complain but when you're paying for services and get a half job it's not acceptable. Let me start by saying he polished my nails four times in a row because he could not get it right the polish kept rippling. Instead of taking all the polish off he proceeded to keep polishing over the same polish again and then realized oh this uv light must not be working . So he went and grabbed another light and was still having the same issues on the 4th try , it appeared he had finally got it right but I was still concerned because I do believe he probably should have taken the polish off instead of keep painting over it noticing it rippling . I was just as ready to go as he was as for me to go as well I'm sure ! When I got home and started washing dishes my gel polish begin peeling off like a sticker I couldn't believe it mind you had an event I had to be to within 30 minutes . I called and let the salon know & they non challantly told me to come up and he will correct it . I let him know it's no way I can make it back up there I have somewhere very important I have to be . The entire night I was embarrassed to even show my nails in pictures or anything. The next morning whiCh is today (1/21/22 ) I called up there expressing how I'm coming back to now get it corrected and trying to explain to the young lady that answered the phone how frustrated I was over this and she pretty much just brushed me off talked over me and was like yea yea just come on up he will correct it. I explained to her I want a different person to correct this I'm sure he knew nothing about this was right when I left the nail salon . No apologies , no sorries , no nothing from no one there , the guy that did them yesterday sat in the back of the salon chilling while he knew exactly who I was and what was going on as they spoke about it amongst each other in their language. The entire time I didn't say a word while the young lady they had correct everything and do them over . I finally asked her a question as she was finishing .I asked do you know what could have possibly caused this to happen . Her reply was maybe he used old polish , the machine wasn't working , then she finally says I'm sorry . So my point is from the time I called up there the day it happened til this morning you would think the first thing would have been an apology given from the people answering the phone the owners someone ! Customer service & communication is key and unfortunately this business does not have that at all and I will never ever in life return here if I'm desperate and can't get an appointment with my original nail technician. I've been to this place a few times over the years but decided to try them again. Just finished cancer treatment and wanted a new set of sparkly red nails for Christmas. Manicurist was nice enough but in a hurry, very rough with me - filing my skin until it bled. She rushed to get to a new customer and didn't do the underneath drill/file so there was a lot of residue and my nails were unnaturally thick nor did she do the lotion, etc. at the end. I wish someone could talk to all these salons and explain they're not getting more business by jumping from customer to customer and it's really tacky and a poor business model. Also how is it sanitary to put the dip powder in an individual container if you just pour it all back into one? Can't wait to get these off and get a nice Mani but honestly don't know where to go - there are a gazillion in every strip mall and they're all the same and the workers seem to rotate from one to another. Tried this place for the first time this weekend (2.19.19). Overall it's a nice nail shop, nice decor and pleasant people. If you want a BASIC manicure and/or pedicure then this is the place for you......they can do basic acrylic, put tips on for you, do a pedicure, do a filling, polish and do a basic two color ombré. But please don't come in and show them a picture of a nice design that you found on the Internet or ask them to do a multi color (3 or more color) ombré because they will tell you that they can't do it for you. Bottom line is that they are not creative with their designs.....was shocked to find out that they only have one person in the shop that can do an ombré. They have colored acrylic powder but don't have enough color choices.... they gave me one ring with color choices and it was very limited. I did not appreciate that they were all over the place when my technician was doing my session. Everytime they would say something to her while looking at me and I did not like that. Then when it came to paying and staying around the front desk, they kept saying "ok bye, have a nice day" and me being me I'm gonna make sure I have my cards back in my wallet and everything that I came in with in my bag. So I did not like that just because i was standing there trying to retrieve my belongings, that I felt like I was trying to be pushed out the door. Also, seeing that their workers would lounge around on the pedi chairs and have their shoes on the towels that they use during a Pedicure. Had been skeptical at first but took a look at few reviews and was very specific with my request when calling to make my appointment. The location is very clean and modern and chic. I used to go to WetPaint Nail Bar but I stopped last year because the men in the salon doing nails were not as good as the ladies. When they would do my nails, they simply did not have the same elegant finish as when the ladies did them so I didn't want to have them do my nails anymore. Since you get whoever is available when you come in, I stopped going. About two weeks ago I needed a rush manicure/ pedicure and this salon is near my home so I went during my lunch time from work. When I stepped inside a woman approached and said that she could take me right away. I advised her that I wanted a Gel Manicure and regular polish on my toes. I sat in the pedicure chair although I was not getting a full pedicure as this is where they do the toes. I had selected a clear, somewhat sparkly polish to match on both my hands and my feet. A male employee came over to assist the female technician and advised that he would be taking my polish off. I was so focused on what he was doing that I was not fully paying attention to what the female was doing until she attempted to place a portable nail dryer on my foot. I asked her what she was doing and she advised that she was going to dry the Gel polish. She had put Gel polish on my toes by mistake. I advised her that the polish on my toes was supposed to be regular and that the polish on my hands was supposed to be Gel. She then took the polish off my toes in a quick swipe or two. As she replaced it with regular polish the male finished up and walked away. The nail technician then began to paint my nails and I realized then that she had totally missed the fact that I wanted a full manicure. Too late to correct her now as my lunch was winding down and it would soon be time to get back. I don't know if the lady tech was just preoccupied or if she really didn't understand what I had requested. Either way I was just very disappointed because I did not get what I wanted although the polish looked very pretty on all 20 of my nails. In the future I will still go their but I will be more careful to watch and remind them along the way of what I want and don't want. read more

I came here for years but had to find a new shop because outside of a glitter polished nail they really did not offer any design options. Not even ombré nails. The decor is very glam and they offer wine, beer, and soda to their customers which I loved. I would recommend Vingh or Julie for any acrylic work and either Julie or Ms Mary for pedicure. I showed them a picture of what I wanted and I believe the owner came over and tried to help me pick the colors..... the color was nothing simialr to what I showed. then she gave me to someone else to do my nails and it wasnt his fault but after he put it in I was like this is awful. I picked another color to cover it as the top coat which was also very disappointing. I wanted ombré in one nail and I wish he just said he did not know how to do it... it looks like I attempted it myself. Very upset or have spent an hour of my Sundays here and pay for that service. I've tried this place on several occasions. I've gotten a gel manicure, a pedicure and a full set with gel. My pedicure was amazing and my gel manicure was applied beautifully but didn't last very long. However, my full set is gorgeous.
