A rewind of the classic Goldie's Patio Grill experience. After dining at the failing Goldie's on S. Lewis a few years ago I had given up completely the hope of ever having a delicious Goldie's charbroiled burger experience again. Bad food combined with the miserable service at that S. Lewis location, delivered the restaurant to an appropriate ending; closed. Yelp ratings of the remaining Goldie's in the Tulsa area were in the tank, with 2.5 -3-star ratings. It's over, Goldie's was history to me. While doing a restaurant search, Goldie's in Pryor Creek popped up with a 4-star rating. The locals in Pryor like it. That rating may be indicative of better management and possibly less competition than the failing Tulsa stores. It gave me hope. The Goldie's sign in Pryor is nothing but a vacant ring of steel on a pole. Likely a causality of an Oklahoma storm that swept the plastic emblem and lighting into another county. You have to know where Goldie's is located or you will drive right by the industrial looking metal building. There is a sign on the south side of the building that might be visible if you are north bound. We found it a 2:30, still filled with about a dozen diners. They were out in the next few minutes giving the staff a short break to clean tables and sweep. And soon after that, the next shift of diners rolled in. As you would expect the restaurant wears the small-town diner interior, well-worn from the local workers that frequent the place. We parked in a comfortable booth. Immediate service, greeting us, delivering menus and taking beverage orders. The friendly waitress, back in a flash with drinks, then taking our order of two classic meals; GOLDIE'S SPECIAL WITH CHEESE [no mayo!] and the CHILI CHEESE BURGER, served open faced, covered with Chili and American Cheese, add chopped onions. Fries on the side for both. Before leaving the waitress emphasized the "help yourself Pickle Bar." We did. A bowl full was emptied before the meals arrived. My wife's burger was perfect. It delivered memories of the many meals that we have had in Tulsa during Goldie's prime. On my plate, the same perfectly cooked charbroiled beef patty, holding down an opened burger bun, then crowned with perfect, thick, hardy, delicious Texas style chili! It delivered bite after bite of pleasant memories. The coated crispy fries were a much better, modern version of the plain cut potatoes served eons ago. The service was small town friendly and flawless. What a great lunch it was! #500/2500

Country Dinner and Chicken Fried Steak - on point!

Passing through between Kansas City and Dallas. Great local place. Chicken fried steak on point- tender beef and great flavor. The Country Dinner is very tasty - two beef patties with cheddar cheese in the Center covered in Country gravy. Dang Good! The local PoPo were eating in here - that was my first indicator- A good place to eat. Staff did a great job.

All I can say is wow they make the best fried pickles I ever had. The burger was good and came out just right.

Traveling between Stilwell, KS and Dallas on a Saturday, we hit Pryor, OK about lunch time. Saw Goldie's and decided to stretch our legs and grab some lunch at a "local" place rather than a chain joint. We're glad we did! Goldie's isn't a super-fancy place, it's simply and tastefully decorated, and most importantly a clean place. Staff was friendly - as other reviewers had noted - most seemed to be younger kids in a first summer job - which is great to see kids working these days. Our server did a good job, she was prompt, courteous and cheerful. We had burgers, chicken and salads. Food was served promptly, hot things hot, cold things cold - and prepared as it should be. Everything tasted great. Kudos to the kitchen - nice job. The pickle bar is a novelty that we had fun with - not something you run across every day, but hey - every place needs to be world-famous for something - why not a pickle-bar? Talked a bit with Tim, one of the owners - a nice guy who's working hard to have a successful business that serves good food - in our opinion he's doing a good job of it ... we will stop in for a bite next time we're through Pryor. See you there - Cruiser

Booking/billing is a little disorganized as they were changing systems, so we had a little bit of trouble with that (some charge issues, unavailable lodging listed on website) but nothing a few phone calls couldn't fix! Everything else was absolutely incredible. We stayed in the tanner house 2 nights, and we had beautiful flowers in the kitchen. It is the cutest house with sleeping arrangements for 4 or 5 with the couch! And it was comfy. The back deck overlooks the lake, and was perfect to look at stars at night and/or drink morning coffee. The oven was out of order, but we were overly fed without it! That leads me to dining and the actual Girls' weekend package. We got the cutest dinner tickets and schedules. So we started Saturday morning with a delicious little breakfast. The cinnamon rolls are next level good. Then we had an awesome yoga class at 11am. The yoga barn is gorgeous inside. Plenty of space for lots of yogis. Lunch was a delicious spread of salads and sandwiches and awesome pickles. Plus mimosas and desserts. The salads were a strawberry one and a peach one with these delicious nuts and dressings. They pay extreme attention to detail on the food here! Then we spent our afternoon by the pool until it was time for our cocktail making class. The pool is so neat how it's built kind of secluded in the trees. It has an outdoor kitchen area and the nicest pool bathrooms I've ever seen. They had lots of floaties for us to relax on too. The cocktail class was another incredible inclusion. And we got to keep our shakers! Mack was the head bartender, and she was SO great. I didn't catch the other girls names that helped us all day, but every staff member the whole weekend were SO kind and fun. The cocktail concept was one I had seen on TikTok brought to life even better. It was a brilliant set up. We had so much fun trying new flavors and muddling our ingredients. We also got drawn names for a giveaway gift! I got the cutest wine cup. And we got a gift card for the gift shop boutique on site with our overnight booking. As dinner rolled around, our dinner ticket in the package allowed us to order a drink and entree from the main dinner menu, so it was great to try that! I got the sirloin tips special, and oh my gosh was it good. Quality beef. The glazed carrots were SO good, and the onion rings hand battered and fried to perfection. We all struggled deciding what to get because it all sounded delicious. Since we shared, I can confirm the garlic shrimp and bruschetta are also delicious. And spaghetti! We even got this little fan that keeps flies away on our outdoor table. The patio was beautiful. Our server (Kristy I think or Christine maybe) was SO nice. And even though I made cocktails with Mack earlier, her margarita special at dinner was still better than anything I made myself! Lol Then we had the option of a movie in the pool on this big inflatable screen, which is such a cool idea, or live music at the barn! We ate a late dinner, so we didn't spend too much time out and about after that, but the offerings were supreme. And of course we just enjoyed our time back at the Tanner House laughing, dancing, eating leftovers, etc.! We also got Sunday brunch, which was another incredible experience. Huge selection of fancy options like prime rib! Plus all the classic breakfast offerings elevated. Dessert was amazing. The catfish was excellent. I ate until I was overly stuffed because I wanted to try it all. Definitely hit the Sunday brunch if you want the best in NE Oklahoma. Not only is the Canebrake just beautiful and fun on its own, they host some awesome events like Girls' Weekend. The price we paid vs what we got was unmatched. It was beyond worth what we spent. We loved all of it. One of us did a spa day too, and she said it was heavenly. Every service requested & offered was extremely thought out, planned, and executed with success. I could do individual reviews for every aspect, and I've already written a novel! I can't wait to go back for another event or just a relaxing meal on the patio. Thank you staff for making us feel so pampered!

The restaurant is clean and well decorated with Early America decor. The atmosphere was busy and the noise level above average. My husband and nephew ordered chicken fried steak. The steak was large and fried to a golden brown. Dan shared with me and still had some left. It cost about $5 more than what we pay for chicken fried steak at diners in Tulsa, but in fairness, the taste of the steak was a little better than what we are used to. The mashed potatoes were made from fresh potatoes, and they were delicious! I chose fried shrimp, French fries, and Cole slaw. I got a huge plate of home made fries which were delicious. I shared with others and still took some home. I didn't like the shrimp and sent the slaw back. The shrimp were not fried crisp and just a little doughy. I got one slice of lemon but couldn't have used more because the shrimp sauce was too thick for dipping. I tried putting some on the shrimp with a fork but didn't like it. The slaw had too much sauce which made the cabbage soft. I asked if I could exchange it for steamed vegetables. They took my slaw but didn't bring the vegetables. Our nephew got a loaded baked potato with his meal and it looked tempting. My sister in law got a rib eye sandwich which came with potato chips. They served it without any sauce, but brought sauce when she requested it. I overheard her tell her husband it was overcooked. The servers were friendly. I'd say we got good service, but two very large groups ordered right before us causing the kitchen to be backed up. We had to wait a considerable amount of time for our food. That gave us more time to visit with our nephew whom we hadn't seen for a long time. I wish we had not forgotten to take pictures of the food since most reviews are a few years old and a lot changes in that amount of time.
