The bakery is located inside Island pacific market. The worker is welcoming and prompt, she was willing to help us with our questions. The ambiance of the place was easy to navigate, majority of their items are displayed for easy navigation. We ordered their rocky road "premium" cake, and it was OK at best. I was really hoping it would've been a little better -- it tasted tough and extra extra sweet. Tried their polvoron, and I guess that made it up. Will definitely go back and try other desserts. The good: This is a Filipino bakery chain with pastries and many ube flavored treats! I used to go to their San Jose location a lot so I was excited to see that they had one inside of the grocery store. I ordered assorted ensaymada, ube mamon (a sponge cake) and chocolate crinkle cookies. The assorted ensaymada came with 1 classic, 1 macapuno, 1 ubeliscious and 1 ube ensaymada. I liked that I was able to order thru GrubHub though the delivery fee was pretty high. The mamon was so moist, spongey and tasty. It had a great deep purple color and was absolutely delicious. The coconut brioche bread (macapuno ensaymada) was also delicious and had some saltiness that made it more difficult to reach flavor fatigue. It was fluffy, moist on top and had shredded cheese. It was recommended to heat it up in the microwave but I ate it as-is and thought it was still delicious. These are great options for parties or co-workers because they come individually packaged (great for COVID times). The bad: This is a smaller location since it's just a corner in the market. My crinkled cookie order was canceled because they were out of it. The packaged pastry didn't say when it was made or when it expires. I am not sure if they were freshly made in store and then packaged on the spot or if they have been packaged already from a larger facility and then just shipped to this site. Beware: Food is awful! I had to throw out two orders of pancit palabok and 2 orders of pork siomai as they tasted awful - like they were rotten or had been sitting out for a while. Imagine having to throw out all that expensive food into the trash because we did not want to risk getting sick; i.e., food poisoning. I complained to Doordash but did not get my money back. I had ordered from Goldilocks based on their alleged outstanding reputation amongst Filpinos. Apparently, they don't care. Shame on Goldilocks. What a waste of money! I'm more than disappointed. Buyer beware! Ask for a receipt!! We purchased an Ube Roll cake for $14 but declined to have a receipt printed for us. The container did not have a best buy date on it. However, the cashier guaranteed it was fresh. Sure enough, when we got home and tried it, we were disappointed to find that it was stale. When I returned the next morning to complain, the cashier said I needed to show a receipt in order to have it exchanged. Located inside Island Pacific grocery store. Employees were very friendly, they recommended some items for me. Their halo-halo was more ice than other places I've been to. Bought 'asst puto cups' (steamed rice cake) and the second day after I bought it, it was growing mold. The white puto was more transparent, green bits of mold, the purple ones had darker spots on that weren't there before. Should've taken a picture. I don't think it should've gone bad that quickly, It didn't even have a date on the packaging. Only had a bite of one of them before mold was transparent. Kept it in a cool dry place as well. Will not come back to this location, will try another location instead. Check dates before purchasing items. read more

Went here yesterday (10/14/2021). While waiting I went to the restroom and saw that a Goldilocks employee had used the restroom and did NOT wash his hands as REQUIRED by health code. I alerted him and he ignored me and proceeded to return to work at the COUNTER. Who knows how many items were contaminated by this employee. I will NEVER buy from them again. By the way all he did was walk to the back where NO ONE could see him wash his hands. I believe I will follow up with LA County health department. read more

I bought ube cheese pandesal. The following morning, i heat up one for breakfast and then started eating it. This is not the first time i bought ube cheese pandesal from this location. On my first bite i tasted mold so i immediately took it out from my mouth and saw it has molds! I went back to the store to return for an exchange or refund but the woman in charge at the store says "oh you're the only one who complains about this." She says it's not mold. She says it's the natural color of the cheese when it's mixed with ube. What a BS right? So i go, ok how would you explain the taste then, i even asked her to taste it herself but she refused. I opened another ube cheese pandesal and showed her the inside and it was the same thing - it has molds! I told her to pull out the rest of the ube cheese pandesal on the shelf for their own good! but she refused. And continue saying "you're the only one who complained about this."
