I am not a big workout buff, but received a free membership trial as a gift and it was great! Normally, walking into a new gym, not being in shape, you would feel intimidated, but the crew was always welcoming and answered all my questions. The only reason I had to hold off on my renewal is because of the change in my work hours. They have classes that start in the early morning and evening. As soon as I get my schedule issue resolved, I am going back and they let me postpone my renewal without any penalty. Great gym, clean, organized and not intimidating. I have been with Gold's gym for about 6 years now, i have witness staff come and go but the management team never fails to keep this gym thriving. Taking suggestion on what the members want, updating their equipment to fulfill the members needs. They have a cleaning staff on at all times from open to close. Any drama brought into this gym, Heather (General Manager) is right on top of it making sure it is resolved or kicking out who she needs. Great staff and management, cleanliness, variety and quantity of equipment. Sole complaint: Loud music that makes it hard for me to hear my own preferred podcasts via padded earphones turned up louder than I would prefer. It is especially loud near the pool entrance, despite multiple requests to desk staff to turn the volume down. If you can stand the noise level, it is an EXCELLENT facility. John read more

I realize the on the case by case there are things that are always going to go wrong with ANY facility, specially with the hours of operation that this gym offers. However despite of anything this is the best club in Long Island by far!!!!!!! It's priced accordingly and the customer service and attention to detail is second to none. Definitely found my gym home. Recently joined the main gym after doing the Apex class. Making the transition was super easy with no hassle. They have different brands of machines and quiet workout areas to cut out the distractions. Ryannne is awesome, she also leads the the Apex classes so she knows about proper form and how to ease into a routine. Love this place ! read more

Honestly having this gym so close by is a blessing. I'm a early riser and I like to go train at 4:30 am. This gym is always open on time and the gentleman at the front desk is always taking care of business. Everyone is as nice as they can be even at this time of day. Highly recommend anybody who wants to come hit it early when the gym isn't too crowed. read more

Today I stopped in at golds and was greeted by the amazing mike at the front desk! He was super sharp and super smooth when he recommended, and SOLD me on a shake!! I was a member of the Gold's Gym for over a year. It was a great, clean, with up-to-date equipment. They have a pool too! Their staff is very friendly and helpful. The bar has great shakes and whatever time you need to workout they are open. If you live or work in Islip it's ideal. read more
