Honestly, I'm extremely disappointed with Gold's Gym Bellevue. The gym feels neglected and poorly managed. Equipment is constantly left scattered all over the place, making the gym look messy and unorganized. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting -- I would not even consider taking a shower there because of the lack of cleanliness and upkeep. The staff is friendly and welcoming, but being nice only goes so far. The knowledge and professionalism just aren't there. If you're looking for guidance, expertise, or a staff that can actually help you improve, this probably isn't the place. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. The low membership price reflects the overall experience. A gym should be a place where people feel motivated and comfortable, not somewhere that feels dirty, neglected, and poorly maintained. read more

People are so inconsiderate it's hard to get a workout in. An old guy flexing for an hour using up 1-2 benches but not actually using them. Having to step over gym bags and tripods in the middle of the gym floor. Multiple people using benches just to sit or to place their stuff but not using it to lift. People sitting on their phones for 10 or more minutes (yes I've timed it) with no regard for other gym members. People standing thisclose to the free weights and then upset when you try to grab some. The gym is usually dirty. The AC doesn't work well in the main area of the gym but it's frigid in the barbell/leg room. If the gym members actually followed any rules or gym etiquette maybe I could get a decent work out it but nope... read more

Horrible management. Cancelled my membership IN PERSON in October of 2024 as I was moving several states away. Realized I was still being charged a few months later and called. They promised it was cancelled and I wouldn't be charged again. I have done this nearly half a dozen times (including driving 500 miles back to Nashville to cancel) and I am still being charged. To date, after my initial cancellation I have been charged $841.98 and it doesn't seem like they care at all. read more

Refused to let me talk to management or cancel the monthly membership, which I did not sign up for, over the phone. Have contacted my bank and BBB to dispute charges. This gym has been the worst experience of my life. They got me to sign up for a personal training contract and started double charging me for it. I asked for a refund for the double charge, and the personal training manager told me no and that there was nothing he could do. I reached out the general manager, and they were able to make the personal training manager ask customer service to give me a refund. I have yet to receive the refund and that was in NOVEMBER 2025. They told me they wouldn't charge me until the end of March 2026, but lo and behold they charged me in February. I have email customer service multiple times and have received no reply. I have reached out to everyone under the sun to get my contract cancelled and to get my money back but everyone I have talked to says they cannot help me. Then WHO can??? They have taken over $500 from me. DO NOT GO HERE!!! They SCAM you out of your money and keep doing so because NO ONE CAN HELP!!! read more

Been a member at Bellevue since 2019 - through several managers... appreciate the variety of equipment and separation of areas - the equipment is maintained - staff interacts well - lately much improved attention to cleaning. If you can be flexible for when you go, zipping through your routines is clockwork - but even when busiest, there is enough variety to make the visit productive. I downloaded Yelp to give this review. Don't join unless you plan on never cancelling. This place made it horribly annoying to cancel. You can't do it over the phone, you have to come in between the hours of 9 and 5 Mon-Fri. I went in to cancel my membership, billed bi-weekly, and was made to wait 10 minutes while the two people behind the counter sat there, clearly not busy. I finally was able to cancel my membership, which cost the entire last month, plus a fee. I was told that I would not be charged anything else. The next day, I was charged another bi-weekly charge. I called to dispute, and they said it was just pending and would disappear. It went through. I called again and the manager, who helped me cancel, said that he had the power to issue a refund, but "it's not protocol" and made me email the customer relations email address for Gold's Gym TN. Scummy. Steer clear of here and get a membership at the YMCA or something. read more

Located on a commercial strip near a liquor store and beauty supplies--I find the place quite small, lacking updated equipments, smoothie bar, private shower, sauna, steam room, and instructors for fun fitness classes, overall making me miss the single large building of my Gold Gym in Lawrenceville, GA which has everything updated and much more. I moved to Nashville from Lawrenceville, GA for work and didn't want to pay my Gold Gym cancellation fee, so I am force into a new contract with Gold Gym in Nashville (the only location). My visitor pass only last for 14 days so I sign the contract which force my contract at the other location to be voided without my paying a cancellation fee. I live on the other side of Nashville near the Nashville Airport BNA and this is quite a drive for me. This place is a franchised and have their own little thing going on. I wish they were more like other gyms that have premium membership for unlimited nationwide access to any location, a 14 day visitor pass is not cool. read more

Filthy gym. Showers have black mold in them. Never any soap in showers, so bring your own. Seated calf machine has been down for months with no signs of repair. I canceled my membership only to get a call saying I was no longer welcome, after I cancelled. People smoking weed in the parking lot, then getting in the sauna (for you to smell them at 170 degrees) after they reek of weed (pot, marijuana) Only Three steppers in the whole gym and one of them makes a noise that is unbearable when you turn it up. The sauna is almost never cleaned and the "new" wood in the sauna has screws that are not set in the wood, so they will burn you upon touch! Think about touching a 170 degree screw in the seat! read more

The equipment is old and usually broken but the staff is the worst part about this place. I closed an old bank account that had $10 a month coming out of it from this gym (which I never went to because of what I already mentioned, but just waiting for my contract to be over.) Instead of calling me or emailing me one single time, they sent it to collections. This gym is the absolute worst, which a huge part of its terrible nature being due to the immature manager, Brandon, who needs to take a lesson in customer service. My boyfriend and I wanted to cancel our membership due to the fact that equipment is always dirty and broken, the bathrooms were shut down for 2 months straight just to repaint, instead of repairing the broken TVs they are just taken down and reorganized, there is no space, the gym smells of old socks and marijuana, all yoga classes have been cut to being offered only once a day on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays (I will never understand who thought that was a good idea?), none of the staff have any inkling on how customer service works except for one girl, the manager is a creeper who tries to hit on almost every woman who walks in the door, and I could keep going on. Upon coming up to the front desk saying that we wanted to cancel our membership, Brandon doesn't even acknowledge my boyfriend and then once he gets Brandon's attention away from whoever he is having a leisurely conversation with, we get the most attitude possible from this guy. He proceeds to interrogate us about why we are leaving and makes fun of us for canceling, all while scoffing and making faces. I rather spend my money at a place that cares about their customers and fixing issues rather than buying a nasty massage chair and placing it next to the front door for everyone to see. The fact that Gold's has no issue employing this rude, unfriendly, creeper as a manager has completely sealed the deal that we will NEVER join a Gold's Gym ever again. read more

Has machines, free weights, treadmills, and elliptical machines etc. I signed up, paid the fee, they haven't charged me any more or less than they said they would. It's not fancy, it's not trashy. I'm 100% confident a person can increase their personal fitness and overall well being if they visited this gym daily. P.S. I always look forward to coming to this gym when we visit on vacation. It's not the newest gym in town but it's a good real gym. No judgments here when you're working out and you can get hyped off things energy of other people working out here too. Good sound system too if you decide to work out without your own music. I've been a member of this gym since April 2018 with the VIP membership. I inquired about my membership once I saw it had switched over to a month to month at a lower rate than I was paying. This frustrated me initially because I inquired about cancelling my membership prior and would have to pay a $99 fee when others were signing up on a month to month basis paying less than I was. During this later conversation I asked about downgrading to the silver plan, and Zach at the front desk told me that it wasn't a problem. I asked about having to pay the $39 fee and he told me I didn't have to. During the signing of the documents he couldn't tell me what I was signing for and kept going back and forth with the details of the new program I was in. He needs to be retrained on the details of the contracts, memberships and documents that are being signed and ultimately needs to be more professional and manage expectations. I later received a call telling me that they were honoring moving to a lower plan but that I had to pay the fee for downgrading. There was nothing that could be done is what I was told. I am not happy about how this location is managed. read more

I loved this gym until I moved out of the area and needed to cancel my month-to-month membership. I called to confirm how to cancel, and I was told to come in and fill out a cancellation form. The employee did not tell me I needed to come in Monday-Friday 9a-6p, so it took two visit attempts to fill out the paperwork. After successfully filling out my cancellation form in March and agreeing to two final payments, my account was charged a third payment end of April. I called and left a message with the front desk for a manager who did not return my call. I called again two days later and I had to drive out to the gym for a third time to confirm that my account will not be charged again. When I arrived, the manager was not there after I confirmed the hours he would be available on the phone. The girl at the front desk hopefully confirmed my cancellation. Very frustrating. I have heard similar stories from friends who experienced problems cancelling their accounts as well. Golds makes it easy to join and difficult to cancel. UPDATE: It took me six months total to cancel this membership. I had to report the transactions as fraudulent with my bank and file a complaint with BBB to get my account cancelled. I will NEVER do business with Golds Gym again. read more

I signed up at Golds Gym yesterday for their $10/month deal. It's important to know before you sign up that there is a $39 one time fee you have to pay when you sign up for "gym maintenance". Isn't that what my monthly fee is paying for? I'd rather be charged another $3/month for my membership than be charged a fee, but that's just my preference. They charge you $5 EVERY OTHER WEEK. Anybody who is decent at math knows that doesn't add up to $10/month. It's $130/year. I know that's only $10 more than if they truly charged monthly, but you are paying 13 months for 12 months of membership. This adds up even more for people on the silver and platinum plans. After I signed up, Jeffrey introduced himself and set up a time to do my body fat and nutritional analysis that you get for free when you first sign up. I met with him tonight, and I signed up for a personal training plan. I'm looking forward to seeing how it pans out. As far as the gym itself, it's clean, and the machines are nice and new. read more

Five stars. My search for a suitable gym here in the Nashville area was a frustrating one until I came upon Gold's Gym. The other gyms were too small... or didn't have enough equipment... or the free weights didn't go high enough... or the price was outrageous compared to what I was used to paying. The price is right (in fact, even less than I was expecting to pay). Plenty of equipment and free weights. Staff is super friendly. Free bottled water (albeit, room temperature water) for Platinum members. Clean workout floor and locker rooms. My only two knocks on this place are: (1) that they don't have the staff go around often enough to re-rack the weights back in the proper place. Clearly, many of the people who workout here aren't very good with numbers, seeing as to how the 55 pound dumbbells can often be found next to the 70s... or the 30s... or the 90s... or the 25s... or somewhere else. The best I can figure out is that there is some sort of random system that everyone has figured out except for me. Anyway, at least the weights get re-racked somewhere (instead of just being left all over the floor like many other gyms that I've been to) and a quick search of the dumbbells usually is successful in finding the weight you're looking for. (2) The hours. I'm sitting here on a Sunday morning "weighting" (get it? funny, right?!) 20 minutes for the gym to open. Highly recommended! read more

I'm moving so I had to cancel my gym membership. There isn't a Golds anywhere near my new residence. I work out at the one in Smyrna, but the Bellevue location is closer to my job. I show up to the Bellevue location at 9:15, and the gentleman at the desk let me know that the manager wouldn't be in until 10:00. So I waited. Sometime after 10, the manager shows up but walks around the gym floor for a while before acknowledging me. When he finally does approach me, he proceeds to tell me that he's incredibly busy, and if I was willing to wait, he would get to me eventually. Or I could just mail in my cancellation which will take 30 days to process. I told him I had been waiting since 9:15, and preferred to do it in person. I was also busy, and took time out of my day to drive down to the gym in person. The manager didn't seem to care whether I cancelled or not. It appeared that I was just an annoyance. He wasn't willing to help me if it wasn't on his terms. The whole situation was a complete waste of my time. I like Golds, and I will continue to work out at their locations if they are close, but I believe working at a gym is no different than being in any other customer service role. I feel like the situation could've been handled with a little more sense of urgency, and a little more professionalism... Fast forward, and I went by the Smyrna location after work and cancelled my membership. It took five minutes. The manager asked why I was leaving. After moving to Nashville from Murfreesboro, I was bummed to find out that there is only ONE Gold's Gym in town - and it's still about 25-30 minutes away from me. Wah. They gym itself is beautiful, very clean and the staff is super friendly. Wish the Cardio equipment had TV's attached but oh well. Such is life. They offer classes (yay)! and weren't too packed during the post-work hour. My only complaint is that Nashville NEEDS more Gold's Gyms. For the amount of money I pay a month (and since I can't get out of my contract), it is a pain in the butt to drive that far for a gym. Please build more in Nashville :) read more

Brand new equipment, everything is Precor. They do as much as they can with the amount of sq footage they have, however that is their biggest downfall! Just not enough space. Only 2 squat racks and bench presses. Never been at 5 pm (rush hr) but I imagine it gets packed!? read more

I really wouldn't recommend this Gold's location. I moved to Bellevue from Knoxville a few months ago and decided to keep my Gold's membership because the Bellevue Gold's is only about 5 minutes from my apartment. First of all, it was a pain switching over because apparently Gold's memberships don't transfer between corporate and franchise locations. So they made me call the Knoxville location to cancel and then sign with a new membership (which is now contracted when my other one was not). Secondly, I had no idea when I transferred that this location isn't actually 24/7. It's open 24 hours Monday thru Thursday and then they close at 11pm on Friday and 8pm on Saturday and Sunday. Their reason for this was that it wasn't busy enough on weekend nights to justify being open all night. Who cares? That's inconvenient for your customers who may not always be able to make it during the day. Some people work all day or just prefer working out at night. All gyms should be 24/7. When I go about an hour before they close on weekends it's so packed that I can hardly find open equipment. Then the staff walks around telling everyone how much longer they have till they close. Looks to me like you're busy enough to stay open AT LEAST till midnight. You're a gym not a retail store. Lastly, this gym is a hole in the wall. I've seen some pretty nice Gold's locations but this one needs a serious update. Especially in the bathrooms. A few weeks ago the soap dispenser came off the wall into my hand. The size of the gym itself is so small and cramped and the layout of everything just seems awkward. Also a lot of the equipment seems to stay "out of service" for a long time. Things seemed to get fixed way quicker at the previous locations I've been to. All in all, I wish I had a better Gold's Gym option in the Nashville area, but I really don't unless I want to make a 40 minute drive out to Smyrna. No thanks. Please be a better gym. read more
