Cool room, good beers, and in a neighborhood not far from where I grew up. Across the street from Regis U. and on one of my alternate routes to get back home after work makes stopping in almost too easy. I half expected them to be over run by college students but it's really more of a neighborhood hang out. The Cutter IPA and the Black River Stout depending on my mood are my go to's here. read more

Great addition to the neighborhood. It was great to see more than just college students there; plenty of families with kids/small babies, elderly couples, mid 30s crowd. Loved Julia's Blessing (kolsch). I'm not an IPA fan but others seemed to like the selection. Plenty of seating. Nice renovations of what had been an empty space. read more

Goldspot Brewing is a great neighborhood spot, and whenever we visit we wish they were located in our neighborhood! I've visited a few times, and they always have various styles of some pretty delicious craft brews on tap. Julia's Blessing a a wonderful light Kolsch-style beer, but if like me you enjoy your beer hoppy & bitter, the Cutter IPA is really great! I also love, love, love Gus' Breakfast Porter, a rich beer made with coffee and cocoa nibs. YUM! The inside of Goldspot is nice and cozy, outfitted in reclaimed woods and exposed brick. For some weird reason we've only been here on rainy days, so I have no idea what the outside seating looks like, but I look forward to finding out this summer. read more

This area needed a place like this to move in. And so far, not a disappointment to be had. Esthetically, simple, modern, and inviting. More importantly, the beers are...well, yummy. On a recent trip to Denver, a friend suggested that we visit this new-ish brewery. It ended up being a fantastic idea, as we all thoroughly enjoyed the beers we sampled. It was also a relaxed environment and was good for a decent-sized group to hang out and catch up. Being located near a small college, my guess is that place will do quite well! The space inside is a bit on the industrial side, though there's a glass garage door that opens in nicer weather and allows the outside to pour in. There are a few high tops and some longer picnic tables. Our group snagged some space at one of the picnic tables and it ended up being a perfect spot for a few rounds. There was a food truck there offering some goodies, though nothing really spoke to us so we didn't partake. I tried the Rioja IPA which was fantastic. So good, I had a second! Not super hoppy, so if that's not your thing you may like this one. Others in the crew tried the porter and the stout. All were content with their choices. I'd definitely return to try more of their beers. The atmosphere was relaxed and I am all for supporting new local businesses (and subsequently spreading the good word). Best of luck to these guys, but I suspect they'll do just fine given the quality of their craft! read more

Goldspot is doing things right. The open floor plan, the exposed brink and the instant patio via the open garage door make this place a perfect place to enjoy some craft beer. I think I've had nearly all the beers here at this point and cant say anything bad about them. For a newer brewery, they have a polished taste. The two standouts for me have been the Cutter IPA and the Gus' Breakfast Porter. The IPA is well balanced but you still know you're drinking an IPA with the hop profile. The Porter was much smoother than I expected and could even be a year around porter. The staff has been friendly and easy to chat up about beer and there is usually a food truck out front as well. They also dont mind if you bring your own food, so feel free to grab some food before heading over. Oh yeah, they also offer the 32 oz growler size refills. All good things about Goldspot! read more

We came on opening day and if it is any indication of things to come they'll do just fine! It was packed! The beer is really quite delightful. I am an IPA gal almost solely...it's just what I like. Their # uh huh is SO GOOD - IBU 105 (yezzzzzz). I tried the other IPA (name escaping me - also tasty though not as bitter so to me not as tasty. I had snips of the other beers and all were solid. I definitely recommend it. Great beers, friendly staff, nice location, community tables (if that's your thing), cozy spot with games! Definitely going back. The only thing Goldspot is missing is an actual pot of gold. It's a really great space with that pretty standard semi-industrial chic. Garage doors that open to the sidewalk are a huge plus in the summer -- I'm a sucker for ANYTHING with garage doors. Top to bottom the beers they serve are quite good, as long as it's in season - no heavy porters on hot summer days, you know? They've got lots of games to play, I've always enjoyed chatting with the servers -- and it can't be repeated enough, the beer is fantastic. It's a favorite stop on a Saturday afternoon after I finish up a round of golf at the nearby course. Can't recommend it enough! read more

I stopped at Goldspot after work on Bike to Work Day and I was so impressed! The space is not huge, but they were able to cram a lot of people into the picnic tables both inside and outside of the bar area. Service was good, and beers were DELICIOUS, with super fun names to boot. There were some pretty annoying dogs hanging out on the patio that growled and lunged when we tried to walk past - whatever happened to breweries banning dogs within the city limits?! My wife and I stopped in to Goldspot on our way home from Vail. It was just what we were looking for. A relaxed place with nice people(both staff and clientele). There was a food truck that guests seemed to be enjoying. The main event, the beer, was GREAT! Goldspot is now one of my favorites in Denver(and I've had LOTS of Denver beer). So glad we took the advice because not only were we not disappointed, this was one of the highlights of the trip! Been wanting to check out this place for awhile, finally went for trivia night, so much fun! Really chill neighborhood brewery, GREAT BEERS! Great new brewpub next to Regis U. No food beyond Cheez-its, Goldfish, and Chips. Craft Brews only- BUT what FANTASTIC Beers they are! Gus' Breakfast Porter and especially Black River are both high ABV's and the taste is BEYOND!! Fun location. Not especially good beer. You'll find mostly overly bitter or diaceytl like flavored beverages served. I love IPA's also but there has to be balance between bitter and sweet or citrus. Denver is full of new micro breweries and I really wanted this place to shine. For beer lovers I'd rate them middle of the road. read more

Visited on a Saturday afternoon, tried the Julia's Blessing, Gus' Breakfast Porter and Pantalones Rojo. The Julia's Blessing is a Kolsch style beer, pretty good for a summer afternoon. It's not as refined as you'll find in Cologne, Germany but that really can't be expected. Gus' Breakfast Porter immediately tasted of coffee, then I noticed a very slight hint of chocolate but no nuttiness or sugar, as advertised. It had very little legs - once it was past my tongue the taste disappeared quickly. I much prefer Deschutes' Brewery Black Butte Porter or local Ryerick Porter from Mountain Toad in Golden, which are more complex and full bodied. Rojo IPA is exactly what they said it is, somewhere between an IPA and a lager. It was pretty good. Service was excellent, bartenders very friendly. read more
