Played in a scramble tourney that was supposed to have multiple tastings on holes and I think there was 3. The tourney prize for first was a head cover like what?!?! Just a money grab. *UPDATED* Jeff below will try to tell you lies to make what occurred seem better to save face. There was only 3 tastings. Two par 3's had empty tables. Prizes were underwhelming at best. A bag tag looks like a child made at elementary school, a free round of golf in these conditions (couldn't pay me to play it again), and one of their own head covers. Utilize your vendors from golf brands. Other courses offering hundreds of dollars, clubs, etc for lesser tournament registration fees. You offer what seems to be after thoughts to be cheap. Every course waters more in the summer so it doesn't get fried but morning tee times see dew. Not standing water and soggy ground with every step. It was the most unprofessional tournaments I have ever seen. Absolute amateur hour. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COURSE!!!!!!

I arrived shortly before the 3:00 p.m. tee time and was placed in the 3:18 p.m. slot, which was completely fine. The problem began when I was charged $29 instead of the advertised Arcis Prime twilight rate of $25, plus the water fee and tax. When I questioned the price, Kevin acknowledged the difference but initially refused to correct it, saying the register and phone app showed different rates. He then told me that if I wanted to "save a few bucks," I should book through the app. The issue was not the small dollar amount. It was the dismissive attitude, the implication that I was being cheap, and the refusal to take responsibility for correcting a pricing error. When I explained that this was about customer service and accurate pricing, Kevin responded that he does not run the facility and does not care about fixing those issues. That is not how a loyal member or any customer should be treated. GM Jeff has always been professional and welcoming, and AJ outside is consistently friendly and helpful. I hope Jeff speaks with Kevin and provides him with appropriate customer-service training. One employee's attitude should not damage the reputation of an otherwise good team. Ocotillo is where I come to relax and enjoy the course. Today's interaction did the opposite and seriously made me reconsider continuing my Arcis Prime membership. I hope management addresses this directly so it does not happen again.

She came home and eloquently explained what she learned. My son went with me to her first lesson. He is very excited to attend his lesson next week. He is on the autism spectrum. The coaches are wonderful. I can already see that the program is very inclusive and diverse. I hope so continue to keep my kids in this program in the future.

Either courses are fun tracks that challenge you in different ways. The Cattail is a super fun track that has a lot of potential for scoring good. Greens roll really true with good pace and everywhere around them has crisp perfectly manicured grass defining the fringe to apron back to fairways. I wish the bunkers (sand) was more fluff and softer but still very easy to manage out of them. The course conditions were absolutely nice and pretty much as perfect as you would expect for a course of this nature. Cart guys, pro shop staff, starter were all great and super helpful and very informative on anything g you needed or asked. Services throughout were great and the weather was perfect. The pace of play was very nice, never saw the group in front of us or behind us and finished a group 4 in 3 hours 58 minutes from the Golds(one) shy of the tips (black). I definitely want to come back here again rather soon. Great overall experience. It appears the LPGA will be here exactly the following week from today play as they were setting up all over the course. Even with cart path only on all holes, walking out to the ball was not difficult on any of the holes.

It finally dawned on me... My youngest son's baseball tournaments have been scheduled at a new…read morevariety of fields and complexes all over the valley. So, just like I reviewed all the Spring Training stadiums, I've slowly been adding all the amateur fields to the Yelp! archives too. The Red Mountain Softball (and baseball too) Complex is on the other side of the world from where I live. But just like Gene Autry which is nearby, I actually enjoy making the drive to visit these fields. I don't know how old it is, but the facilities and the park are very well maintained. There are smaller softball fields and larger baseball fields (with their turf infields) so this complex has something to offer everyone. Plus it's easily accessed off the 202 Loop. Oh, and the surrounding area is pretty nice. If you're familiar with the area, you'll understand where the name "Red Mountain" comes from. There is plenty of parking which is well dispersed and there are trees. Sounds weird, but not all trees in parking lots cast shade on the parking spaces. You can find a shady spot almost anywhere in this lot. I recall visiting these fields once before, a few years back. Now my son plays on the big fields. While I can't recall using the restrooms, I know the snack bar had some decent food and it was reasonable. All in all, these fields are as nice as Pioneer in the west valley, and similar to Gene Autry, just larger. And the sunset (see photos) at the end of the weekend was gorgeous! Nicely done Mesa. In terms of sports complexes, you're two for two! Which is better than some of my son's teammates at bat. Did I mention the sunset?

I met Morgan Reimler at a charity golf tournament this year. She was the "Beat the Pro" contest…read moreprofessional and after chatting for a few minutes, found out that she is also a certified instructor. I emailed her and over the course of a few months decided to try some lessons with her. I have had lessons before and some were helpful, and others, not so much. Im currently a 17 handicap senior golfer but im fighting pretty hard to hold back the tide of age, stiffness, loss of strength and stamina. I felt that getting a swing coach and instructor would be beneficial and help the swings and putts be more productive even with my overall performance declining. First of all, Morgan spent quite a bit of time talking and assessing my game. She asked what my expectations are and what goals i hoped to reach. I felt very comfortable right away. There was no "boot camp, drill instructor" personality and Morgan is a very good communicator. She looked at my swing using a 5 iron and made a few suggestions that made a big difference in my swing plane and club head position. Now, im already past my time alloted but Morgan gave me a few homework assignments and helped plan out our next sessions. No pressure! Just whenever i felt ready to continue. Increasing club head speed. Short game. Course management, putting. These are some of the areas I'll be covering in my next few reviews with Morgan Reimler. Please. If you want to get the most enjoyment from your golf game, give Morgan a shout. I truly believe she can help and even 2-3 strokes will make a great difference in your overall appreciation of golf.
