Pros, Cons,then summary I go here with my family. PROS--Well, it's the only place in the area with miniature golf, bumper boats and cars to race. It was fun, for the most part. The games are fun, for the kids, and it is something that can take an afternoon (couple hours) to do. It's a fun place to go if you don't want to travel far (I'm from West Ventura County), and it won't cost too much money compared to bigger theme parks. CONs--There really aren't any arcade games for adults. In the "old days" there were always games here that were actual arcade games, not just games for tickets. While I'm sure that is where the $$ is, in kid games, have a few more games for adults....street fighter, mortal kombat, Killer Instinct,etc. Yes, those games are dated, but adults who used to be kids and spent time here are now taking their own kids, and would like to enjoy it a bit too. Food and drinks are overpriced. While the cost of attractions and games are reasonable, the food prices aren't. Lower the prices. Lines can get long for golf. You'll spend a couple hours doing 9 holes if you're behind a large group. Some workers need to brush up on customer service. I understand many are young, high school kids and just making a couple extra bucks....but at least smile and act like you want to be there. Would I go back? First time visiting this place on 4/24/22 with my family for my sons birthday. (I think you can schedule a birthday party there ahead of time? I'm not sure we just walked in). We went to the window Chris was super informative, polite, and patient about explaining all the wristbands offered and measuring my kids heights to make sure we can all go on the rides. We ended up buying 2 hours unlimited! On the go karts my son dropped his phone and was worried about it breaking. Young Jose managed to recover my sons phone from the track with no cracks!! After the rides we went to play golf, the same guy Chris was at the window and he gave my son a glow in the dark golfball which looked really cool! Finally after golf we went to the arcade. The games kept eating our tokens. The person working in the arcade was super courteous, his name was Shawn I think? The food was ok but not the best, I felt bad because we had a big order and there was only one person working in the kitchen with a big line. Amber was working hard, running back and forth. Taking orders and making them all by herself. Overall fun place, super nice employees, and a great first experience! I'm pretty sure I haven't been here since middle or high school and I'm pretty sure I've never played miniature golf. My bf was prepared to annihilate me in a round of golf. To my surprise I ended only 2 strokes behind him! Not bad for a beginner :) The golf was fun but I can't say the same about the other parts of the Groupon deal :/ The soda was...well soda, the popcorn was stale and just about every game had an "Out of Order" sign. So, I probably hadn't been to Ventura Golf N Stuff in 15 years or more, but my sister's birthday was coming up (and my mom's, and my sister's boyfriend's), and we wanted to throw her a surprise party. Sure, we are between 23-58 years old. Sure the expectation might be that we would go to a bar or something more sophisticated, but we are just not those people. The Good: Kevin who made our group reservations was very nice. He handled everything through email, which made me VERY happy. I hate having to talk on the phone. I heard the food was very good. We had a ton of food for about $300. It not only fed the 20+ people we had, but it also fed my department at work for another three days and even supplied part of Father's Day dinner! (We ordered lasagna, pizza, garlic bread, antipasto salad, green salad, buffalo wings, and soda - I think that was all.) I say "heard" because I don't eat meat, so I didn't really partake much in what we had. Everyone had fun. We paid $21 for passes that were good for 3 hours, and that included mini golf, bumper boats, bumper cars, Indy racing, and laser tag, plus 4 tokens. It was a good deal, and because we had a larger group, we also got a room to have the party at no cost. The Bad: It felt dirty. The minute you walked in, it felt a little skeezy. We had hand sanitizer though, so all was good. None of the employees seemed really interested in being there. They were nice enough but I wouldn't call them friendly. They didn't do anything wrong, but they would not be a motivation for me to return. The bumper boats and Indy cars closed early, which we were not told in advance, so not everyone got to do that (we had passes from 7pm-10pm). To ride the Indy cars you have to have closed toed shoes. My friend had warned me that was the case, so I told the party people, but it would have been better to get that information from them before getting there. Many of us wear sandals exclusively, and had my friend not recalled that rule, most of us would have been screwed. You also have to take your shoes off for laser tag, so be prepared for that. The guy at the Indy cars was a jerk. He seemed to take his putting your hair up before you ride a little more seriously than it needed to be, and he called my friend ma'am, which she was not thrilled about. He also had different rules for different people. My sister could have a pony tail (and she has LONG hair), but my friend had to have a bun. Overall it was a successful surprise party, and everyone had fun, but we are a fun group, so of course we had fun! read more

We drove 45 minutes to take advantage of a promotion they sent us. When we get there the girl (manager) at the counter would not honor the promotion because it wasn't printed out. The manager did absolutely nothing to help the situation. We have spent $100s of dollars at this place but will never go back there Just heard back from owner, he clearly does not understand customer service. We bought an unlimited package for 2 hours and spent over 100$ and then they wanted me pay another 26$ for a two year old to ride along. Go else where for family entertainment. I chose not to talk about the attitude of the staff in which I was appalled by the conversations that was being held by the attendants in front of my children and the fact that they continued their conversation while my family stood in line. For as old as this place is, I'm pleasantly impressed by how well it's kept up. Arcade has some old 80s gems like Pac-Man, Donkey Long, and centipede. Mini golf has two courses, $10 each. My husband called Thursday night at 4pm for information and was told the park would open at 10am and the rides open at 11am. He confirmed that it was the correct time with the lady because we had a 2 hour drive to get there. So my family including our very excited 5 and 2 year old arrived at 10:30 and the doors were locked. The manager, DAVID, happened to be at the door and told us it was a private party and there was no admittance. We explained that we talked to someone last night and gave us different information and his response was, "we have a lot of employees working here, most of which are high schoolers working 4 hour shifts, and not all of them know the schedule with all the information. You should have listened to the voicemail with the information" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! That's your excuse?? Why would the person not knowing information be answering the phone?? We were very upset with his excuses and lack of empathy. He didn't say sorry, or offer anything to help ease that we had some very disappointed kids. We had a really good time at Golf n Stuff. Everything seemed to be working and the miniature golf courses were clean and maintained. Employees were friendly. The speed carts were not in operation. (Their website says you should call to find out days of operation.) We went on a weekday and did not have to pay for parking. I see some people complain about that, but I think they only charge for parking on Fridays and Saturdays. We bought 2 All Park passes and 3 Mini Park passes. Including the arcade, we were able to spend a casual 3.5 hours there. I didn't see anyone mention this in any other review so I'll mention it here: the All Park pass and Mini Park pass are actually wrist bands you wear. The rides get checked off by an employee upon entry to the ride. Only the wrist band wearer gets to use the rides, so plan accordingly. (Before going, we'd envisioned giving some of the rides to the kids.) I didn't go in the lazer tag arena, but the boys did. It's in a big hot enclosed tent thing. Might not be good on a really warm day. The games in the arcade were fun. If you aren't a geek about it, there are plenty to choose from, even with a few out of order. The 4-player air hockey was interesting. It's a great way to spend a few fun hours with your kids. I wish they'd offer a deal on playing both mini-golf courses, but until then watch for their Groupon coupons to make your day a little more affordable. read more

I love a fun mini-golf! They have 2 different 18-hole courses. We did Course 2. It was pretty empty as we came early on a Monday afternoon which was nice. The arcade games were pretty standard, they were entertaining for about 10 minutes. If I came back again I would do the golf but not play any of the games. I bought the 2hr unlimited pass... They measured my son and cleared him for all rides. He went on the GoKart 2x and golfed for 10min yet aprox 40min after we got there I found him upset at the table outside... when I asked him what's wrong he said the staff wouldn't allow him to ride the GoKart anymore... I talked to the manager Jon C and he said that in fact my son was literally a hair away from the "line" to go on GoKarts hence couldn't Go on anymore (However with his hair which is very very short he was on the line) I could've totally agreed with them and understood if my son was inches away from the line but he wasn't AND they already had approved him AND allowed him to go on the ride 2x... I wasn't sure what to expect after reading several negative reviews. My wife and I were on holiday from Scotland and decided to give golf n stuff a go. It compared very favourably with our local crazy golf "Jurassic Par" in Clydebank. Californian sunshine didn't hurt. There were two courses and we enjoyed the first round so much we did the second. Contrary to previous reviews the courses were well kept and the water features were clean. I found that the course was older added to the charm and the "greens" had obviously been resurfaced when needed. We had a great time. The only negative thing was there was a dusting of leaves and needles on one or two holes which my wife felt deserved a mention as they saved my ball from going down a hill once. It is obviously cleaned and swept daily though. Also to debunk previous reviews the staff were friendly and service was prompt and efficient. It was really nice to see young people being employed. We didn't really do any of the "n stuff" but the arcade looked cool. Can't recommend highly enough and wish we had one in Scotland. I can see why David B gets worked up at negative reviews and is rightly proud in the defense of his establishment! read more

We (hubby, 8 yr old son & me) had a WONDERFUL time miniature golfing! The setting and design was beyond what I thought it would be. Very cute and detailed. Inside, the place is confusing to walk around. Lots of video games, dark, flashing strobes. It's fine if you aren't prone to seizures. I'm not even a germ probe but the idea of putting your mouth on drinking fountain at a kid's activity zone is disgusting. Asked for Dixie cup. Nope. Went to car for water. Sitting eating popcorn, girl walks by with 20 stacked Styrofoam cups!!!!! Got tokens which are reasonably priced. Not sure where to purchase so ask girl. She directs me to 4 machines. Cash only, I have credit. I asked which window let's me buy tokens on credit. She says, outside window. I move to leave & she says "or I can help you". They are NOT busy too. First game: Jr air hockey. Immediately lose 2 tokens. Go to other girl at counter. Barely acknowledges us then says she can't give us tokens back. I need to wait by machine for assistance. So I do. 9 mins feels like forever for 8 yr old. I tell him to play something else but since I'm still waiting I can't watch him, scary. Guy comes, gives me tokens. Told him ridiculous. He was blank faced. Mini golf = A Staff: D. Ugh. Rude. Dismissive, pouting, eye rolling. Very clean and the colors are vibrant. Two courses to chose from; we played course 2 this time, and looking forward to returning to play course 1. took my little girl to this place for her birthday , and had such a pleasant experience!!! the park was super sanitary from the parking-lot all the way to the bumper-boats! but what truly made this visit worth it was the customer service. once my little girl and i decided to take a snack break , we ordered some nachos and candy bars ....once the snack bar associate took my order i was observing to see the process of our order and to my suprize she put on a fresh pair of plastic gloves and then continued to our or order together!!! the associates name is "kodi" !! i was so impressed by her attention to her quality of care that i had to ask for her name so she can get acknowledge for her excellent customer service! now days due to the covid pandemic its its imperative to be aware of how your food is being prepared!! once we were all done with the the rides and golfing and collected all our tickets from the hours in the arcade room , the associate "sarahi" & i beleive "david" (can't pinpoint the young man's name but is started with a d) we're extremely pleasant aswell!! thank you all for such an amazing day, god bless u all! read more

I enjoy taking my niece and goddaughter here. We have been there several times. For $20 worth of tokens they get to have fun for an hour at the arcade section and exchange their tickets for a little price. They don't care for golf too much. They also have the go karts and bumper karts. I was not allowed on the go karts because I was not wearing closed toe shoes. So note to self wear my chucks next time and not sandals lol They also have laser tag, fun for everyone. They have the wrist band options too. You can have an all game one or one with a round of golf and 3 games plus 4 tokens. The staff are friendly. The machines get stuck quite often. But they help every time and they are not rude. It can get pretty crowded. But not too crazy. Also they have plenty of snacks to choose from, like pizza, ice cream etc. prices are a bit higher than eating elsewhere but not too bad. read more

Took the grandkids to Golf N Stuff for a nice Saturday. We ended up purchasing the 2 Miniature Golf packages for adults at $14 a piece x 2= $28. We purchased the "All Park Pass" for the kids....Golf, 3 rides and 4 game tokens at $29 each x2=$58. So just to enter it was $86. Before purchase, the kids were measured for height requirements to ensure safety requirements were met. The attendant said they were within range, for all but the go-karts. We ended up playing 18 holes of golf, which was fun and everyone had a great time!! The kids wanted to go the bumper cars next. The attendant at the bumper cars stated that the youngest was not tall enough to ride even as a passenger. We were confused, why were we told she was OK,meeting the requirements and charged at purchase. But when we get to the ride...she's not tall enough. This is a bait and switch! So we moved on to the bumper boats. The attendants were amazing!!!! They helped the kids, gave them input to drive/steer..just AWESOME and kids really enjoyed the experience!!! Unfortunately, there was not any other rides available and we were stuck with unused ride passes. So we decided to go to the arcade and get our tokens. After waiting in line for over 15 minutes, the attendant stated they have run out of tokens. We will have to wait an additional 45 minutes before they were able to provide the 8 tokens purchased. This was a Saturday afternoon and unable to provide something that was paid for in an hour?? Your misleading people.......in addition to this adventure. As we are waiting, we decided to order sodas and popcorn. We ordered 2 large souvenir cups and the cashier stated they are out of the souvenir cups. So we ordered a medium Cherry Pepsi, Pink Lemonade, 2 small Sierra Mists, and 2 jumbo popcorns. Popcorn was stale , cold, and should have been thrown out. The Cherry Pepsi was not cherry, and the pink lemonade was a Cherry Pepsi in a 20oz plastic bottle. How do you mix up a Pepsi vs a pink lemonade??? Ask the server, who was obviously new or high.....which we were trying to correct the order. They were out of Pink lemonade after purchase. So they tried to substitute it wit a Pepsi. Like we can't tell the difference between Pepsi vs Lemonade. What if we didn't want caffeine?? At this time we still had 30 more minutes to wait for tokens, and so frustrated with the lack of service, and staff unwilling to rectify these issues. We left and will not return. We had a total blast at Golf N stuff during our CA vacation! Going there with my mom and my daughter was completely nostalgic. My daughter had never been and my mom and I were excited to share the experience with her. The place was clean and people were friendly. The prices were affordable with plenty of options and variety of experiences offered. We decided on a round of mini golf for good old fashioned fun. We had a blast walking around the course keeping score and trying to putt the ball into the various holes. At one point my daughter's ball landed in the pond. The people very kindly handed me a new ball, it was no big deal. At another point in our course it became clear that the family in front of us had suddenly appeared out of no where--we quickly notified the workers and they immediately responded and took care of the situation. It was a safe, fun and wonderful experience! I would love to go back the next time we are in town! read more

Took my son 2 weeks ago... we golfed, did the bumper cars and played video games. We had a good time. He seemed to be having a god time shoving tokens into the video machines as fast as he could. Some games were 4 tokens which I thought was a bit expensive. Kids can run through a lot of tokens!!! Overall it was a good experience for a 7 year old. Oh... we couldn't go in the racetrack because I was wearing flip flops. So if you want to ride the track cars... don't wear sandals!!! read more

Golf N Stuff is fun. It really can be. Well if you don't work here. Yes, I am a former employee of Golf N Stuff. My first job ever. It was fun, some of the time, but how much fun can it be being yelled at by rich demanding parents and kids when you work at the prize counter.. Haha.. Good times.. As for the place as a patron, I think you can have a ton of fun here. The courses are actually very nice and surprisingly well kept (I say surprisingly for a reason). Very clean. How can you not have fun on the Indy Cars? I just wouldn't go on them when its a little chilly because the eyes start to water against the wind. Bumper cars are bumper cars and the Bumper boats are actually pretty fun too. The arcade is filled with Old School arcade games, they keep up with DDR and always order the newest game and get it up and running as soon as they can. I know for a fact that the managers go out to all the Expos to try and get the newest type of game there is out there. On the weekend nights (Fri-Sun) you do have to pay an "entrance" fee which is $5 but you do get to spend that $5 in the park itself (Tokens, Rides, Golf) so technically you aren't losing much money since you're probably going to spend that much anway. The "entrance" fee is per car, but if you're walking up its per person. This is one of the down points of the place, but it keeps away loitering people who are just there to cause issues. A little expensive, but its fun. I'd probably take my kids here for Mini Golf and the Indy Cars one day. read more

WORSE MANAGER EVER! Read through all my post and his response to see for yourself! Does not do well with accommodating Special Needs Children! I was very disappointed at the lack of accommodations and staff training to at least try to accommodate special needs children. My son lacks the ability to coordinate a steering wheel and gas pedal, so I tried to purchase a ticket for the bumper cars for him to ride as a passenger, apparently the guidelines state that passengers must be 42"-48", my son was at the 48" line exactly and the staff refused to allow him to ride as a passenger. Instead I had no other option but to purchase a ticket for him to ride alone. Needless to say, his car was stuck in the corner the whole time, creating a safety concern by constantly lifting his lap bar to try to get out to move his car, causing the attendant (who happened to be very nice and concerned) to stop the ride several times to remind my son to sit down and keep the lap bar down. All of which could have been avoided with a little accommodations, he was not over the 48" line by even a finger nail. If bigger theme parks are willing and able to accommodate special needs children in one way or another, so should Golf n Stuff. More training should be provided to management on how to better handle these situations so that they can provide more information and options to parents. I ended up requesting a refund for my sons ride, which they granted and also provided additional free tokens, which was appreciated, however, this situation could have been avoided and handled better! Apparently this is not a "Special Needs" friendly place! This is in response to the managers response. I didn't expect anything less from him based on his other unprofessional responses to other review, MORE OF A REASON TO NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE AGAIN!!! Riding as a double would have been a lot safer for my child then riding alone where he was constantly trying to get out of his car while the others were driving around him. Seems to me that the only reason Golf n Stuff has this rule of not allowing those over 48" to ride as double is because they are STARVING for those extra few bucks, understandably because they suck at customer service (double riders pay less). But at the end of the day it doesn't really matter because I'll NEVER go there again!! read more

Note: I am only reviewing the arcade. I havent used the other things here so they are exempt from this. On the surface, this arcade looks appealing. It has an ITG2 convert machine, a good variety of games even a drummania which is nice. Unfortunately alot of the games are out of order or have something broken about them. The crane game is stated to be out of order but still worked strangely which is weird too. The ITG2 machine though has 2 bad panels (the right panel on p1 and the up panel on p2) which is annoying. Strangely enough, as I was in the arcade I saw some panels from past games that Im presuming they had at one point. The ticket game selection is good, but there are not really any decent prizes to go towards it so it seems to be a waste of time for me. Im imagining that if they actually repaired their past and current games and improved their prize selection then it would be a strong arcade in the area, but like alot of other arcades it falls flat on that. Outside of the selection, the saving grace of this arcade is that it was also relatively cheap, but I honestly wouldnt mind paying a bit more if it meant that the games actually worked well. What a great way to spend the afternoon. We bought a $27 pass for the teens and they rode bumper cars,boats and laser tag for 2 hours straight. The mini golf was great for the whole family. Weather was beautiful. Super nice place. Wish they served good coffee. read more
