The Champion Bermuda greens are relatively well‑maintained, and the staff is friendly but the young men are sitting down and not engaging with the customer's. The restrooms were clean for men and women. Parking is tight when the course is busy. There is handicapped parking--I've always found the pace fair and the vibe welcoming. The covered, lighted Top Tracer range is a fantastic touch for hitting balls anytime, rain or shine. The rain has been sporadic at best, so being under the cover is nice. It's not a championship course, but it's a great value (typically $24-35) for casual rounds or after‑work practice. Ideal for beginners or anyone wanting a relaxed, local play without a full‑size slog.

This course remains at three stars for me, mainly because of conditioning (average) and layout. The layout remains challenging, but not the most interesting. The TifEagle Bermuda grass greens were in good shape, for the most part, and I like how they striped their fairways - a nice touch. We played from the blue tees. From the blue tees, scorecard says 6,189 yards with 69.0/130 slope/rating. I almost drove the green on the 345-yard, par-4 13th hole (the one that goes uphill then downhill and doglegs left). My ball ended up past the cart signs and was able to Texas-wedge my second shot onto the green. Still managed to bogey. Before yesterday, I last played at this course on February 6, 2021; a little over five years ago. I noticed a few improvements: 1. Website and marketing, including course flyover. 2. New logo, flags, and tee markers. 3. Inside of clubhouse is slightly different. 4. Golf carts have GPS. Carts also have nice pickup and speed. 5. Some of the cart paths have been repaved or are in the process of being repaved. One of my golf buddies noticed a lot of trees have been cut down, especially around holes 9 and 18, which are currently under renovation. There was a drawing in the clubhouse with what the redesigned holes will look like. In the meantime, both 9 and 18 are par-3s instead of pars 4 and 5, respectively, with temporary greens. It's funny to me that they can spend so much money on renovating two holes, but several of the tee boxes are devoid of grass. What up with that? I was able to book our foursome's tee time on Wolf Creek's website without having to make any payment up front. That's always nice. I booked this past Wednesday, only three days out. Expectedly, a lot of other public courses in metro Atlanta were full well into the late afternoon. They included: Ashton Hills, Cobblestone, Cherokee Run, Towne Lake, and Woodmont. We were originally going to play Heritage, but they just aerated on Wednesday. An employee who answered the phone at Wolf Creek told me that they plan to aerate after the Masters (April 9-12, 2026). The weather was great and the course was nice and busy. There seemed to be an adequate number of staff on hand and they were polite and professional.

This is the main reason I'm giving John A White Park Golf Course 3 stars on Yelp ("A-OK"). John A White is located in the Cascade Road neighborhood of southwest Atlanta, about a 17-minute drive from Midtown. The course is only 9 holes (par 35). It has a driving range where you hit off grass. At the range, balls cost $6 for a small bucket and $10 for a large. The clubhouse is old, small, and about as bare bones as they come. They use gas-powered E-Z-GO carts which are in satisfactory shape. The course has three sets of tees (blue, white, red). From the tips, 9 holes measure 2,842 yards with two par 5s, four par 4s, and three par 3s. The longest hole is the 1st hole, a 524-yard par 5 from the blue tees. The longest par 4 is the 9th hole, which measures 398 yards from blue. The scorecard lists a handicap for each hole, but does not show a course slope nor rating. The course is home to The First Tee of Atlanta, a youth development organization that teaches life skills through the game of golf. The First Tee of Atlanta's core values are confidence, courtesy, honesty, integrity, judgment, perseverance, respect, responsibility, and sportsmanship. If you see a lot of kids playing golf, this is probably the reason why. The course itself has a simple layout with minor elevation changes and relatively flat greens. I'd say the greens, tee boxes, fairways, and bunkers are all in about equal shape, which is OK. There are rough patches here and there, but what to do you expect of an $18, 9-hole muni? My biggest issue is all the leaves, pinestraw, and other stuff that covers some of the greens and tee boxes. Unless you want to spend minutes removing debris out of your line, you'll just have to putt through it. The bunkers have nice, white, fluffy sand. The fairways are a little thin, but expected of a course in this tier. The rough is thin too. Trees will be your biggest enemy. Water does come into play on a few holes, but in the form of a small creek and long concrete ditch. The most scenic holes are 1 and 4, which run parallel to each other. You get an elevated, picturesque view of these holes from the 1st tee, 4th green, and clubhouse/golf cart staging area. The last time I played here, there was no soap/water in the ball washers. That was annoying. There are no restrooms on the course, only at the clubhouse. There's no food and beverage cart either, though for a course this short, one isn't really needed. Pace of play for 9 holes is 2 hours. Good service. At the time of writing this review, tee times for this course can be booked through GolfNow, but I wouldn't recommend it because you will actually pay more by booking online since the online rate is the same as the regular call-in rate *and* you have to pay GolfNow booking fees. Just call the clubhouse directly to book.

Reception and club house was great they welcomed us and told us that range balls were free. The pro shop had some attire and clubs but could use some updating of said items. Driving range was good I think they forgot to move the ropes which revealed some worn grass. It was easy to hit. S there was a pitching area that helps get the flow of your game prior to the tee off. Only gripe I have about this was that you had to pass the first tee box to get the the practice range. Kind of distracting if you are ready to start your round. Putting green closer to the club house, very challenging greens which was curvaceous as can be. The course was good. I mean I am not going to be picky but there were some challenging holes especially in the back nine where water came into play more frequently and the slopes were more severe. I really enjoyed playing there and I feel in my honest opinion. That it needs to be brushed up. Tees boxes were in rough shape some of the fairways were off color. Hole #15 Short par four, there yellow mowed bands streaking in the middle. Some of the edges were very wet, coming off a four day rainy week which stopped on weds. My favorite part were the greens. They were challenging to say the least but fun to hit I was thrown off by some because the first three played very fast and then fourth hole proved to be thick as mud. As the day wore on they were all over the place. Kind of hard if you want to be competitive. One thing I appreciated were the views. Nice layout, the houses all around were beautiful. Nature, at its finest. When we closed off the tournament were went back to the clubhouse for dinner. They were able to remain open for us until 630. I really appreciated that and it is because the service and generosity of their time. We confirmed another tournament with Chapel Hill in July. Thank you~

Even with the Cart Path only rule for the day. Cory; the Pro Shop Attendant and the Manager (Especially ) really took care of our threesome crew (very Cordial and Understanding STAFF). The Practise Greens are a true representation of the Conditions of the Greens on all 18 Holes. Fast, Clean and smooth. A couple of Challenging shot shaping holes. The Number One Hole is a 1 Handicap indeed. Not sure if its because proper warm up is required or its just a long par 4. but it caused some damage to the score card. Cons Most of the greens sit in front of a wood Line. A long Shot missing the Green is a lost ball . A Fair amount of holes are lined with Bunkers at the Back of the green . Overall, Its a good course to beat, after 3 serious rounds.

Blackburn Tennis Center is one of the few very popular ITP tennis centers. They have recently been…read moretaken over by the UTA Tennis Management Group, which has included a ton of renovations, including court surfaces, nets, scoreboards, etc. I like playing here- the courts are nice. But spectating can be annoying. The picnic tables are shoved up right next to the courts which is distracting for players. Also, there's just not enough space to spread out. BUT there's not enough space to sit either, so bring camping chairs and be prepared to squeeze! On normal nights, they keep the main gate closed, so you have to walk up a flight of stairs and then down a narrow ramp (colliding with other players who are leaving). Not sure why they do this, especially for popular team practice nights. On match days, GET THERE EARLY especially if you have something heavy to carry. The parking area seems ridiculously small on match days, and you could end up parking nearly half a mile away. If it were easier to access from the highway, I think I'd like these courts more. Lastly- the staff, pros, and players are all friendly. That's a major plus!
