Woah, this place was overpriced. Used sporting goods should be cheaper than new and some tennis rackets are extremely used and still 75% of a new price. Also at no fault of their own they do not have many roller blade sizes. The bar weights were overpriced as well. Maybe other items are a deal but the two we were interested in were not. read more

Secondhand sports store that, sadly, I have to say also comes with secondhand service. Play It Again Sports is a store that buys old sports equipment and resells it at a lower cost. I've made two trips to this store - the first one with very good customer service, the second one with not so good customer service. Having never purchased golf clubs before, I went to Play It Again Sports on the recommendation of a few colleagues. On my first trip, I was referred to an employee who was very knowledgable about golf. The employee did an excellent job answering my questions and was able to set me up with a used set of irons and a putter, while giving me a good explanation of different products in the store. I returned for a second trip after my driver broke, expecting more good service. I asked one of the employees if they fix golf clubs. He abruptly told me that clubs are not fixed, and spoke in an attitude that he didn't want to be bothered. I asked if he knew where I could fix clubs, and he shot back that I should check Google. Then, I asked him if someone could help me decide if I should buy a new club instead of fixing it - which was when he sent me to the golf club section to figure it out on my own. I would expect an employee at a store that sells sporting goods, but doesn't fix them, should know where to fix sporting goods (the answer, which I got from another source, is PGA Superstore or a club repair shop at a local golf course). At the very least, I should be referred to another employee in the store who would know - if not information on repair, at least information on what I could purchase as a replacement. If I knew what to buy, I would go to Amazon instead of going to the store. And to be honest, I would recommend that you shop on Amazon instead of coming here. Good customer service which was sadly followed by an episode of very crummy customer service. I'd much rather spend more money at a place that treats me better than save a buck coming here. read more

I so wish I could give less than one star....The customer service at this location is TERRIBLE. I came in to get some cleats for my son and was greeted by a teenager who offered to help, only to be interrupted by a very rude manager named Chuck. He snapped at the teen and barked some orders for him to do something else. The young man apologized to me and left to go the the back of the store. I looked for the cleats with no help from the manager/Chuck. As my son and I wandered the store, I heard the manager berate the two younger kids that worked there. He totally gave me the creeps, leering behind the counter watching women go by. Shopping there is a very uncomfortable experience- maybe it's different with other staff members but avoid Chuck at all costs... read more

I've been here countless times for everything from golf clubs to lacrosse sticks to baseball gloves. They always have the best selection at the best value possible in the market. Sooooooo, I have to say, My mom and I have NEVER had this much FUN buying exercise equipment!! From walking in and being greeted very warmly by some very good looking employees, to wanting a treadmill and actually buying two pieces of equipment in the end, my mom and I had a blast. I highly recommend coming here for your sporting needs. I am a first time customer and would like to say I will be a "lifetime" customer, but I don't buy sporting equipment too often, but if I did, this would be the place I would go. We ended up buying a 2015 Sole F63 that seems to be in amazing condition and a 2017 Nordictrak Freestyle (we can't stop calling it The Monster, this thing is F.U.N.) that is in incredible condition. Both pieces feel very new and hardly used. I really want to Thank all the guys who really made the shopping experience a fun memory and moment for my mom and I. From Zach, to Clint, to one of the owner's Beau, and other Zach (Beau and "other" Zach delivered our equipment and were just as fun). We've bought a few things from Play It Again sports. I got cleats, multiple pairs, for my son for soccer season. The earlier you go in the day/week, the better organized all the cleats by size. We got a used bike for my oldest for $90, saving $60 over getting it brand new, and it was in essentially brand new condition. They've got a lot of adult used bikes as well. We also bought a brand new net for him to practice is baseball pitching. Though the hours aren't the best for working parents, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. read more

We had such a great experience here. We had our dog with us, visiting relatives in east Cobb, and were commuting home via Roswell road. They were all super friendly and accommodating to letting our dog come in while we bought our son a baseball bat for the upcoming season. Where do you typically think of going when you need sports or fitness equipment? Sports Authority, Target, Amazon? Yeah, me too. I needed to buy some free weights for working out at home, but I was running into a problem. Free weights (even smaller ones like 10 - 12 pounds) are not very cheap. What's the deal? I need a piece of metal a certain weight and you're charging me upwards of $15 per dumbell! Huh?? While relaying this tale of woe to my boyfriend, he suggested I check out Play it Again Sports - a store known for good prices on used sports gear. I had even used them myself shopping for softball cleats and bats during middle school, but I'd never even considered this place for used fitness equipment too. Boy was that a smart move. We went to the Play it Again closest to us over the weekend, which is located up Roswell Rd in Buckhead, and out front there were lots of bicycles, inside there was the expected amounts of golf, baseball, soccer and other sports equipment, but over on one wall was a ton of fitness stuff including lots of free weights of varying sizes! Score! Even better was that they had some that were probably half of what I would have paid for the same thing anywhere else. Double score! In short order, I was hefting small free weights onto the counter and with my boyfriend's help, we hauled my new weights out to the car. Bada bing, bada boom, I had my weights for a lot less than I would have paid elsewhere, even online. (Shocking but true). Very nice job, Play it Again Sports, the next time I'm in need of anything fitness-related, I'm thinking of you first. read more

I would never step foot in this establishment again employee was rude didn't want to get up from his chair when I brought him my products which were football shoulder pads and helmet he told me I'll look but they don't accept them then offered me $35 for both brand new when I looked on the website for the same exact store they were selling the same exact shoulder pads same bran and all for $75 used without the helmet when I asked how come of the difference the employee stated oh well that's the way it is you can sell it on your own I will make sure everybody in my leagues and Community never step foot in this horrible establishment again read more

I won't be shopping here again. Less than a year ago, I bought a bike from this shop. They told me it was new and had been stored in a warehouse somewhere. Less than a year later, the bike broke (probably took less than 15 rides total). I actually called not long after buying it because brakes squeaked but they said that's "normal." Today, they called would not even buy it back from me and half or less price!! They took advantage of the pandemic by selling bad bikes to people who wanted something to do outside during lockdown. Shame on you owner of PIAS. Extremely disappointed. read more

I went into my local store with 2 used Racquetball Rackets to sell. I was offered a cash amount which I thought was fair and I accepted it. I informed the store representative that I had some golf clubs in my vehicle that I also wished to sell. The store representative advises me to bring them in. I bring in 2 almost complete adult sets with appropriate golf bag and 2 junior golf partial sets with bags. I'm told that no offer will be made because the clubs are too old. I'm partially ok with the decision because the youth clubs and bags were in "like new" condition and not very old at all. That's when I concluded that I cannot trust what I'm being told at my local PAS store. The store insulted my intelligence and I will never step foot in it again! I expect honesty and fairness when conducting business with all businesses! I'm so disappointed because I've purchased many items from the store over the years. And, sometimes paying more for something that I felt was overpriced. Honesty is always the best policy!!!! read more

Went here to get a baseball glove today. There were 2 guys working... one an obvious veteran (so am I). I walked in behind an older gentleman, so I don't think they really noticed me. Thwy asked him if he needed help finding anything and they helped him. Another man walked in and they helped him. I was in the back looking at items and couldn't find what I needed so I went and asked the vet for help. He half walked over and half answered my question to the point I didn't feel comfortable asking for more help so I figured it out on my on. For the next 30 min, I saw him and his buddy alternating walking by looking at me trying to act like they were just moseying along. Before I made my presence known they never left the checkout counter. There was no friendly customer service or anything. I felt profiled the whole time I was there... lime in the movies. It's not the first time I've felt that way but it sure has been a long time. FYI "play it again sports" black people do not like being followed around and spied on from behind the isles in a store. If you're gonna spy... make yourself useful and make some conversation. Then at least it won't be so obvious. read more

What a fantastic store! Amazing inventory and very reasonable prices. Dropped off a jersey to add my sons name and ended up getting a Northface jacket and Adidas soccer cleats for $20 - the jacket looks brand new and cleats barely used. I wish I had known about this place before getting new stuff for my toddler last year. As a three-sport h.s. varsity athlete, college tennis player and former triathlete, paying full price for certain sports gear is a bit silly...especially for kids who will outgrow in 1 season! I know where I will be getting future Jr. tennis rackets, ski outfits/equipment, life jackets, soccer net, practice equipment, baseball & lacrosse gear...maybe even an elliptical machine. read more
